Some of you may know I was in a car accident on Saturday. Both me and my gf are fine, she has some bruising, but nothing else. Just thought I would show the pics I got, as everyone likes a bit of carnage, as long as the people are ok. One has been edited a little, can you tell which one? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Though I guess it means I get a new car now. |

I am hoping it is the first picture, as anyone who has furry dice hanging from their mirror deserves everything they get... |

hehe, and that is why little cars fail in collisions with trucks... more evidence to prove the rule: ![]() ![]() ![]() The truck i hit suffered no more than a graze and a burst tyre. |

Dave we have already seen your crash, and to be fair, think mine was more serious since we hit the back of the landcruiser square on, not a glancing blow. And your car was bigger than mine as well. Yeah we did have our belts on, in a way its good we did as could have been worse had we not, but at the same time its given my gf some very sore ribs, nothing broken, but still very achy even now, 3 days later. |

My excess was more than the cost of the car..... Not that it mattered, knew it would be a write off and that I wouldnt get anything for it, but I have a new car now so all is good. Til the claim gets processed and my premium shoots up due to me losing my no claims. Now got an 02 Clio, much better than the old one and has ABS, so should a similar thing happen, I should be able to stop this time. |

err, if your excess is more than the cost of the car then why do you need to make a claim? sorry for the dumb question but im a tad confused... surely you just buy a new car? |

he needs to claim because of the damage to the other car, if it was a tree he'd hit I agree it would have been better to save his no claims |

Which car ? Kayvaan's ? I'd say it's... it was a Renault Clio ... (do I guess right ?) What a mess, good to see you're both OK. |

Yeah, well I claimed because there was 4 cars involved, and I was the last car to hit, meaning its technically my fault (although in real life it wasn't, nothing I could do to avoid the crash. Slippy road conditions, sudden braking by the car in front coming accross stationary traffic round a blind bend, and my car not having ABS meaning I just slid as soon as I hit the brakes). So yeah, I don't get any money for my car, but still, had to be done. |
