Dunno if these are strictly summer fils but I've found a couple of interesting looking ones on the tubes. The Fourth Kind and Legion. Whatever you do, don't let the titles put you off. . . Dave out. |

the fourth kind looks seriously good. As for legion, well it looks like a good film, even if my religion is gonna take flak for a story which doesnt even make biblical sense... |

I watched Pandorum and was more than a little disappointed to be honest. It was trying to be too clever and the ending was pretty predictable as the story progressed. Could have been a lot better but some might like it. I'd give it five out of ten for effort. I like the look of Legion although Paranormal Activity is supposed to be scarier than the Fourth Kind. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OSSqxrh5kp8&feature=fvst |

I've been reading about this movie, it keeps popping up at Movie festivals to absolutely incredibly ecstatically positive reviews - including jaded, un-terrifiable ex-horror movie fans who have claimed the film has genuinely put the frighteners up them to the extent that they've been unable to sleep without the lights on... It does sound like a film I'd like to see, and if it CAN scare as well as the reviews have made out, it should make a ton at the box office. So what do you do as the studio that produced this acclaimed movie? You sit on it and don't release it, for over 2 years... ![]() Still, when Dreamworks DO decide that people beyond the odd movie festival can see it, I'll definitely giv eit a look. |

That looks like it could be one of the most psychologically scarring films in a long while. Mind you, if it went on general release people would probably die. Dave out. |

I would genuinely love to see a film that can make me jump although the trailer with the audience response is a bit off putting. I do want to see it though. If it can top the bit in the Thing where the guys chest opens up and bites the doctors hands off I'd be a happy man. I love that film... |

Only game to scare me was Aliens vs Predator. There's bit where you are a marine and the tracker is blipping away when a pipe swings down from the ceiling that's shaped like an alien head. I must have emptied an entire clip into that thing before I realised what it was.

Just watched that trailer - thank god I watched that in daylight. i think if I'd watched that at midnight when I got in from work, I'd scared. Certainly a film I want to see now. |
