So i have done some trading with a workmate, he got some Chaos bits what he wanted and i got a load of marine bits, i am thinking of the following list, from Codex Space Marines, but would welcome suggestions: HQ Captain Phobor (Kantor) - 175 Herakles, Wandering Hero, (He'Stan) - 190 ELITES Brother Athanasius, Dreadnaught - 105 Sternguard Veteran Squad Nikomachos - 155 Sergeant Nikomachos with Melta bombs & 6 Sternguard Veteran Marines TROOPS Tactical Squad Sophos - 180 Sergeant Sophos with Melta bombs & 9 Marines, with one Meltagun Tactical Squad Phyros - 180 Sergeant Phyros with Melta Bombs & 9 Marines, with one Meltagun Combat Squad - 95 Sergeant with Melta bombs & 4 Marines Scout Squad - 137 Scout Sergeant Akakios, (Telion) & 4 Scouts with Camo Cloaks HEAVY SUPPORT Devastator Squad Eutropios - 170 Sergeant Eutropios & 4 Marines, with 4 Missile Launchers Vindicator - 115 Total = 1502 On one hand i am thinking that this list should be fine, but on the other i am thinking of dropping Phobor (Kantor) and the Devastator Marines in favour of a Barebones captain (for fluff purposes) and a unit of Assault Terminators, still i'm not sure. Herakles (He'Stan) is staying, end of...but i need another captain even if its a barebones one for fluff purposes. No Heavy Weapons in the Tactical Squads cause they will be moveable and Boltguns are usefull weapons. Sternguard could be replaced by something if Kantor is dropped. I have said these ultimatums to work around, because i honestly do not know what to do instead or if this list is fine, I am after a list that sticks to the fluff (i.e. Iron Snakes doctrine of volunteering the squads for the undertaking, etc, And Herakles which will be my own invention for the chapter), but is playable with a good chance of winning, thats surely not an impossible task is it? anyway, C&C most welcome - Sachiel |

Termies would give you some deep strike ability. How much do the melta bombs cost? I ask because I never really found much use for them unless I was fielding jet packed assault guys. |

Digits - Melta Bombs are an IG flamer a piece. (carefully avioding GW points costs for single things) Sachiel - The Iron Snakes book is on my pile of books to read, so this isnt from a fluff perspective, but a tactical one. remove the combat squad, and boost the marines in the devastators. this stops them becoming ineffective once they take a couple of wounds. drop camo cloaks, as im pretty sure that Telion gives the unit stealth, which is all the camo cloaks do, but for more points. what role are you wanting Kantor to do in your army? is it something that could be covered by a cheaper captain or a librarian/chaplain? which combat tactics would you use? Kantor's sternguard option, or He'Stan's twin-linking? |

Go post in someone's topic that you normally wouldn't

Well based on the very few weapons to twin link I'd say he's going with Kantor. 1502 Points? |
