yeah it's pretty simple at heart but they've slapped on some nice graphics, polished it up and produced a really great game.
It's basically the board game without the need for minis and it's easier to find opponents.
I just hope they make an expansion covering the other races like dark elves, undead and norse.

Hmmm, this looks very tempting. Very tempting indeed. I played Chaos League a hell of a lot a couple of years back, and since it was also done by Cyanide (probably as a kind of test bed for a proper Blood Bowl game) I'll be watching this with some interest. Just hope Blood Bowl ends up being half as raucous and fun as Chaos League was.

No substitute for a sit down across a good pitch, two well painted teams and a few beers though!

I will get it out of interest but to me, just like playing 40k on the computer - why?

Captain Wolverine: It's out in september on the Xbox I think?

Digits: I must admit I was of the same thinking at first but it is really good.
I think that the main advantages it has over board game lie in that it's easy to find an opponent and requires very little work in terms of preparation like building and painting a team.

It's very much pick up and play and is extremely atmospheric. I think it's a good gateway game to GW products much like Dawn of War was to 40k and as soon as I get the chance I'm going to dust off my old team and rework them.

I do agree though that forty kay in this format wouldn't work as well.

Why not? I think Titan-Bowl has some serious merits, myself.
