He awoke with a start. A single word echoed through his mind, "Ammoriss". It had been the same for the past fortnight. His nights were haunted by odd dreams. They were all the same. He was wielding... something... he struggled to remember what... but it was shrouded by the fog of half grasped sleep. The feel of the dream... the feel still lingered. Glory. Triumph. Power. They all still tinged the edges of his mind's eye. The dreams were unnerving, but the waking dreams were even worse. Since the strange dreams had racked his mind, he had found himself unconsciously uncovering more about Ammoriss. One moment he would be reviewing his troops, only to find his eyes drawn to star charts... with his eyes finding Ammoriss waiting for them. The name itself echoed through the very marrow of his bones. He shuddered involuntarily. It... whatever it was...was calling to him. His future and its were invariably bound. It plain to him, to anyone that was willing to look. He knew this by instinct. It was time to embrace his destiny. Time for the Battle of Ammoriss to begin... ![]() The Battle for Ammoriss Campaign begins on July 1st. This weekend will see the release of The Battle for Ammoriss Sourcebooks. These tomes will contain maps of Ammoriss, descriptions of the warzones, the forces currently found there, new rules for various Games Workshop games set in the Gothic future of the 40th Millenia, the campaign rules, and more. Now is the time to seize your destiny and become a warmaster of the Ammobunker. We all painted armies for the "Tale of", now marshal those forces and prepare to do battle. The Artifact of Ammoriss awaits your discovery... and use at Open Bash 2010! Post here if you intend on participating. |

Easy also forgot to mention mission of the month. An added bonus that will give your faction a bonus for the following month if you are successful (i.e. most successful in July will get the bonus for august etc). For this month, start brushing up on your Cities of death rules. You may need them...

Awesome stuff. One question regarding the narrative battle reports though, I usually put some fluff at the start and end of my batreps, but for the actual report I write it "White Dwarf" style, ie, both from game and fluff perspective to show both tactics and add a bit of atmosphere. Would that count as narrative for the bonus points or should it be 100% story telling? |

whats the point in 100% story telling battle reports? if you cant include tactics then its just a nice bit of fluff imho... |

Go post in someone's topic that you normally wouldn't

Can't see I'm ever going to do 100% storytelling battle reports as battle reports are a pain to start with without having to spend even more time and energy on them. |

You don't have to do 100% storytelling battle reports. You do get a bonus if you do. You can get bonus points for doing a lot of different things in the campaign. The simplest batrep: SM vs. Orks in Warzone 6 and the SM won. That is worth campaign points, of course, the more you do the more points you earn. The choice is yours. A lot of people will only be able to do some of the extra point generators at any one time. The batreps are ultimately yours, and you can write them however you want, as long as the minimum standards (which are pretty minimal) are met. Why focus on story batreps? Because the campaign is to tell the story of The Battle for Ammoriss. Edit: Most threads for the The Battle for Ammoriss campaign will be found in the Ammoriss Campaign sub-forum. That can be found here: http://s3.zetaboards.com/The_Ammobunker/forum/3000941/ Edited by Easy E, 29 Jun 2009, 01:14 AM.
