Appologies about the title, needed to be done.

Tasty... they're finally almost here....

I presume you'll be able to get them quite a bit cheaper from ebay & other online shops, but its tempting to order one from GW just to get it early

[oh and the not too shabby hellhound kit: http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?catId=cat1490603&prodId=prod60013a]

That Executioner gun is fairly ick. I'll stick with my Ryza patern resn one cheers. However, it wouldn't look too shabby on a Space Marine Dread.

Just had an up close look at two semi builds at my local games worshop.

Have to say, I hadn't appreciated thet come with no wheels! That is, you stick the track into slots on the model. OK for quick builds admittedly, but very limited use for scratchbuilds. Coupled with the lack of upgrades sprue, less tank commander options and an increase in price and I'm sorry but a bit of an all round blow. Shame.

Anyone knows if there will be standard tank upgrade sprue added to the kit?

No wheels! How will people make the open treads style that is so popular! No upgrade sprue! Bunktastic. Admittedly, it is probably cheaper for GW though.

Are the treads going to fit together better than the old ones?

Lukas- At first, I thought that GW Historical was coming out with a WWII Eastern Front game. I was a bit excited. Alas my hopes were cruelly dashed.

well digits, if what you is true (and it doubtless is) i cant help but feel extremely dissapointed. The one redeeming factor of the kit.

Screw Auxies, im doing eldar.

Worse still, I belive they will sell the current russ sprue with the battle cannon seperately!!!! What a joke! I think it only has half the turret bits on it and why couldn't they put the standard battle canon in the box?

I'm just glad I've a mountain of dozer blades and other accessories left - I think I'm going to need them......

BTW the two builds were the russ and the hellhound. SO the chimera / hellhound has gone the same way! :(

there you go here are the sprues

there is good and bad in this. the Hellhound is a lovely kit, the concept for the drums is really good however as has been said the conversion capability does appear to be reduced. Given the talent here i'm sure we will get round some of these but there are limits.
There is no clue currently as to when the straight Russ and chimera will be upgraded so, we conversion types had best get hold of some. I think that the current vehicles (well the Russ at least) will be about for some while (if only through FW) as I dont see them updating all the russ conversion kits to fit with the new chassis in the short term.

I like the tank commander on the Hellhound sprue. And the head of the one on Demolisher. Better pic of Demolisher sprue in new WD.
