not sure if its free, but i got arcsoft photostudio thrown in with a printer i bought a coupla years back, might be worth investigating. Of course there are ways and means of aquiring software, but thats not for here... |

Yeah, GIMP is really good, being essentially the same as Photoshop. I prefer photoshop, but that's obviously either really expensive or illegal... |

i use a freebie called digitial photo resizer. i found it after using google. it sounds like what you're after. you can in crease the size of ab image with it. |

Only problem I have with GIMP is I can't get rid of red eyes that aren't red due to the subject having contacts.... |

If its as simple as cropping and resizing see if he has Microsoft Office Photo Manager installed - I've never had any problems with it for simple stuff |
