Hi So my brother (Elotsip) tells me what a great place this is, and you guys have awesome stuff, so I joined. Yay. Anyway, I pretty much finished my Daemon army, just need to finish the bases. But I will post them anyways! I am currently working on some eldar exodites. Will get some pics soon. I will also put random undead, ork and imperial guard probably =D Will also post the origin stories and such... Edited by Melon-neko, 5 Sep 2009, 08:14 AM.

Thanks =) Had to go make a photo bucket account XD So my Daemon army is made up primarily of Wood elf tree spirit mini's. It is Called the Dark fen, representing a daemonic swamp. These are my Daemon princes (OOP Wood elf treemen ![]() This pic is my daemon princes with the plague bearers (wood elf dryads). The dryads with faeries on their back branches are the Icon bearers. There is also a beast of nurgle to the right (Tree kin model) ![]() Just using normal flamers as flamers. Took them for some fire support, and they (well the old ones more so) looked like mushrooms sorta. ![]() Bad pic of my nurglings WiP. You can also see a WiP of my dire avenger exodite to the right. ![]() Nurglings finished. They are made up primarily of the faeries from wood elf sprues. There is also a redcap (gnoblar), boghog (ork boar head) and a slug looking thing from Hordes ![]() And this is my Great unclean one (new treeman) ![]() Are these pics okay or should I shrink them? |

Wow, great job on those! Also, very interesting concept for an army; I'm always interested in seeing people use GW minis from one army to represent stuff from another army. I think that the nurglings are my favorite unit. Why did you put all the bases upside down? |

Thanks =D Most of My other armies will be counts as also >.> Yeah. I like the nurglings too. One of the most powerful units in the army too (once the tally gets to 20 XD) The bases are upside down because eventually they will be filled with resin water |

Agree - this is a fantastic concept. The models all seem to compliment each other and I love the painting on the great unclean one. Picture sizes are fine btw. |

Thanks =D I will get some more pics. Although that's most of the Dark fen. It is comprised mostly of plague bearers. Anyways, here is the beginning of my Exodites. These are my dire avengers. The 3 without cloaks are the Exarchs. No bases so some fell over >.>

Wow, we are getting an influx of talented folk over here just recently. These look great and has been said it's nice to see models from one range used for another. I love the idea of the upside down bases and can't wait to see them with liquid resin in. |

Thanks for the comments and welcome guys =) The exodites are a mix of wood elf glade guard (heads, bodies, arms, legs, cloaks), eldar guardian (heads, legs, body) and high archer (legs) and green stuff ;p I started working on a cold one rider so it should be up soonish. Story time! Dorcha Seascann - The Dark Fen <--sounds like a map from Diablo XD On the world Velston VII the eldar exodites had lived without strife for millennium, nestled in the far corner of the galaxy, their only battle was with the occasional ork threat. That all changed however, with the discovery of a rogue trader. The human merchant adventurer landed on the world, looking to plunder its resources and search for alien treasure. The exodites issued one warning, and when it went unheeded, proceeded to exterminate the humans. The rogue trader however, (Identity expunged) was a heretic of the worst sort and escaped into the wilds with the help of his dark patrons. The heretic was eventually hunted down by the exodites and eradicated. Unbeknownst to the eldar however, the damage had already been done and a dark curse was laid on the forest around him. Over the years, plague and pestilence crept out and corrupted the trees and earth. The eldar learned of this danger too late, and the forest had already succumbed to chaos, a dark, corrupt mire replaced the verdant wilds. As the eldar entered, the very tree's came to life, possessed by demonic a influence. Since then, the exodites have fought a losing war as the dark swamp slowly spread, corrupting all around it. The legion of demons seems endless and the ward stones the eldar erected slow the tide for a time, but were eventually over run. Eventually the eldar took to the trees with fire and plasma, attempting to burn the corruption out, but the swamp had spread too far. Now with the chaos spreading ever faster, they fear it is only a matter of time until their once pristine world becomes a home only to daemons. |

Don't forget to post your epidimius stand in. That's a great model too. The army is REALLY tough. I consistently get butchered by the darn trees. My poor orks and CRM just can't deal with all the T5 guys and the 4 monstrous critters. Not to mention once he gets his tally up to 20 or its all over for me. Nurglings that wound on a 2+ with power weapons, can you say ouch?! |

lt.gregor: thanks =D In one of the Horus Heresy books...they fought a race that used bow's that shot lasers ![]() elotsip: you won once, stop complaining ![]() More pics! WiP of an exodite warlock on a jetbike/dinosaur. Still needs arms and some cleaning, but pretty much done ![]() ![]() And now for something completely different XD So, this is the first time I've tried to use so much green stuff on a model. Learning how to use green stuff =D Not finished yet of course...he will have a micro art pirate head at the end ![]() ![]() ![]()

Thanks =D Oh sorry XD Exodites are Eldar who sensed the fall before other Eldar and fled to uninhabited worlds on the fringes of the galaxy, so they escaped the creation of the eye of terror, and had already left when the other eldar created the craft worlds and fled. They are basically the Wood elves of the Eldar...and they ride dinosaurs cus its cool. |

Hi So, you've seen the basic model of my warlock on a dino. I am trying to figure out how to make the Autarch and Farseer stand out. The plan was, everyone with a 4+ invulnerable save gets a Hydra cloak, so I want to keep those. The only plastic heads for eldar are guardian and dire avenger I think. Just looking for ideas =) I was thinking I could try my hand at sculpting a bigger hydra cloak for the farseer, like wrapped around him. Not sure I have the skill though Also, I'm left with some extra legs, so I was wondering what Aspect warrior besides dire avengers and shining spears would go good. Atm I'm thinking Fire dragons, but striking scorpions or banshee's might be more fitting. |
