I was looking at the legs of the clankers and suddenly realised that the lower leg plates were very much handed (ie different for left and right) which means that the three blue shouldered ones that I have put together (of which one is shown in the picture above) now look wrong because I swapped the legs around to add some pose variation.

As a result, I spent most of yesterday evening taking them apart and swapping their legs about to correct my error. They may all have the same leg pose now but they at least have the legs the right way around!

At least they are now done and I only have another 15 to go :o

Love what you're doing here. The Rogue Trooper guys are my favourite, as a big 2000AD fan.

Cheers :) . I'm glad you like them. I still have LOADS of them to paint... but I'm sure I'll get around to them one day.

I love the Space Dwarf you sculpted but I have to ask how this is going to be different from the Grymm that you have been using? I really like your scuplt I'm just interested in how you are going to differenciate from an already accessible Space Dwarf(ish) brand available. I could see Hasslefree looking at your scuplt and thinking that would fit beautifully in their range (which it would its a great job). No criticism I think your scupts are great just interested.

Proportionally, my Dwarfs are a whole lot stockier and bear more similarities to the Fantasy Dwarf physique than a Grymn.

Apart from that, I will let other people decide what they think... I haven't got a finished miniature yet so it will all be speculation until I do.

All I will say is that they will be different to Grymn.

Kind of reminds me of the maker from Prometheus.

I haven't seen Prometheus... but I'll take your word for it ;) . I just wanted to make a female version of the Sleiti.

In other news:

Just the screws to paint and a plaque to add now.

I have finished the female dolly and have started two more male ones:

Just the hands and the weapons to go on this one:

This one just has the coat to finish. He is supposed to be a resemblance to someone so I have made the head a little larger than normal as a caricature:

Very cool and individual model, don't think you see many fez's about.

Drinking and partying. Through woman into the mix and it's always going to distract you from toy soldiers.

Like the sculpt, use of the bugs is great, especially the shield bugs.

I have stalled considerably lately so I have decided to do something different (as I do) and have started a visitor invasion force. The support will be Eldar Dreadnoughts with very minor conversion and the troops will be Greys (although they won't be grey). I have got hold of a small collection of Dreadnoughts and some greys (from Tengu Miniatures) and will be adding some clothing to the greys... but here is a pic:

Posted Image

The Greys are a perfect size for opposition to my Grymn forces and will be un-armed because they will have psychic powers and psychic shielding.

The clothing the greys get will basically be boots, a collar, gloves and a belt... really tiny amounts of Green Stuff and fairly easy conversions. I have twenty of the Greys and currently eight Dreadnoughts and a War Walker (All old-school metal ones :) ).

I may, in time, think about some transport for the troops... but they are psychic so they can float about for now :) .

Characteful as ever, I love the fact you don't worry about mixing such diverse stuff together as long as you get the result you want.

Cheers :)

It is one of the good things about not being a gamer. I can mix and match without worrying about rules and I can have free thought for any rules I think would be appropriate for anyone to take as an idea for use in their games.
