Hiveminio thats where your wrong all the science in Star Trek is real science, and all scientifically possble just not probable with current understandings, where Star Wars is all made up.

As for noise in space thats jyst for the viewers because other wise it would be a boring viewing experience

comparing Star Wars novels to Star Trek ones, i've personally found the Star Wars one more enjoyable, although i have read a lot more of them.

Ah, but it is science fiction, not science fact. That doesn't make it faster or better than something else made up. Irrespective of whether it is scientifically possible, the way that travelling at warp speed works is described incorrectly in star trek, as it still implies faster than light travel, which is impossible. The scientific way warp could work is completely different. Besides, they even changed the numbering convention for warp between series...

So when comparing a hyperdrive to a warp engine, we must refer to the ficition, not the science.
Indeed, we must :)

Now wolvie, last time i checked it was going to take voyager 75 years to return to federation space, whereas in the expanded universe and quite probably in the films it takes a few days to a week to cover the same distance.

No travelling at the speed of light is possible depending on the universe we live in there is 2 theories of how the universe works on allows light speed travel and the other does not which scientists are currently trying to figure out.

The description of Warp speed in Star trek is actually theorically correct depending if the universe works.

Hyperdrive is a outdate concept from the 1950s, as for the numberings for Warp speed they changed when the understanding of science changed.

Nothing is impossible but only improbable, once we understand more we will be able to achieve more.

Gandalf died but was brought back by eru iluvatar (basically the god dude), and not by his own powers. Gandalf can also make little ships out of smoke so he wins through rule of cool.
Well, the Balrog is a central facet of the Tolkien universe. Anyone who fought one was defeated, Glorfindel, Gandalf. Glorfindel fell from a great pass and was resurrected - more a rejection by the Valar from the Halls of Mandos, not Illuvatar. Same as Gandalf, the Valar knew Gandalf was needed in Middle Earth he acts as an agent for them.

Star Trek is crap. Star Wars is boring except for the love story.

Firefly is good though.

Star Wars is better cos it's ace.

Anyway, BDJV's video provides documentary evidence that even an incomplete (all-be-it fully operational) Death Star wins.

Star Trekkin' across the universe,
On the Starship Enterprise under Captain Kirk.
Star Trekkin' across the universe,
Only going forward 'cause we can't find reverse.

Lt. Uhura, report.
There's Klingons on the starboard bow, starboard bow, starboard bow;
there's Klingons on the starboard bow, starboard bow, Jim.

Analysis, Mr. Spock.
It's life, Jim, but not as we know it, not as we know it, not as we know it;
it's life, Jim, but not as we know it, not as we know it, Captain.

There's Klingons on the starboard bow, starboard bow, starboard bow;

Star Trekkin' across the universe,
On the Starship Enterprise under Captain Kirk.
Star Trekkin' across the universe,
Only going forward, still can't find reverse.

Medical update, Dr. McCoy.
It's worse than that, he's dead, Jim, dead, Jim, dead, Jim;

Starship Captain, James T. Kirk:
Ah! We come in peace, shoot to kill, shoot to kill, shoot to kill;
we come in peace, shoot to kill, shoot to kill, men.

It's worse than that, he's dead, Jim, dead, Jim, dead, Jim;

Star Trekkin' across the universe,
On the Starship Enterprise under Captain Kirk.
Star Trekkin' across the universe,
Only going forward, and things are getting worse!

Engineer, Mr. Scott:
Ye cannot change the laws of physics, laws of physics, laws of physics;
ye cannot cahnge the laws of physics, laws of physics, Jim.

Ah! We come in peace, shoot to kill, shoot to kill, shoot to kill;
we come in peace, shoot to kill; Scotty, beam me up!

It's worse than that, he's dead, Jim, dead, Jim, dead, Jim;

Ye cannot change the script Jim.
Och, #!*& Jimmy.

It's worse than that, it's physics, Jim.

Bridge to engine room, warp factor 9.

Och, if I give it any more she'll blow, Cap'n!

Only going forward 'cause we can't find reverse.
