Its from the 80s.... They had to tart it up a bit...

reading the report on BoLS from Jervis "We can expect superheavy kits to be bigger and better in the future" this could be carrying some weight to it. I'm not buying a warhound either, just in case!

Oh, that will *NOT* do. If there's a plastic warhound before I get mine done...

no news of anything but given all the negatives on the baneblade/stompa right before their release if Jervis is saying we will see bigger and better it stands to reason really. What is bigger than a baneblade? It would be great to see more xenos kit (trygon, hierodule, cobra, tigershark, barracuda etc) first but GW does have a habbit of releaseing kit for their best sellers (obviously) and current released races (no coincidence the stompa was released after wave 1 of Orks).

I'd guess at T-hawk, Warhound (with added spikey sprue direct only for chaos) and probably an elday super heavy. FW will continue to be the design house for new and exciting bits, if they sell well enough GW will convert to plastic as we've seen happen now (pirahna, vaulk, baneblade.........what's next???).

Bigger models will only increase the client base IMO, there are lots of people on here who collect and don't game, so a £150 (for arguements sake) T-hawk will make a better purchase as a modelling project and display piece than £150 worth of rhino's etc.'ll have "little Johnny spoilt" get one from mummy for his gaming to be stuck together back to front and never painted. Doesn't bother me in the slightest as more sales = more future big kits.

I don't see GW losing money on it, wasn't the whisper on the boards it cost £60,000 to develop and build the b'blade (moulds and all) and they struggled to keep up with demand (hell I have 3 and 2 varients so there is £320 straight back at them alone) when it was delivered to the masses.

I just wish they could be a bit more open about what is coming out 6 months down the line. I've bought armies as a change from current projects only to find something I wanted more is released and I don't have money for it (baneblade springs to mind, I had to wait a week before I got my first! ;) ).

Anywho, rant over!

I think, that if a plastic warhound DOES come out, it will be the Lucius or Jackal class. Making the curved plates of the mars pattern would be too difficult for them I think.

While that IS true, the Baneblade wasn't a flop, the Shadowsword variant was. Whispers from GW are that it really has not sold as well as the Baneblade.

with the baneblade, and shadowsword, why did Gw release it asa one big kit, why not just release the sprues needed for a shadowssword? i think they would of made more money that way...i just wish its true we see a plastic t hawk. that would be one nice bit of kit IMO, i would liek the FW version but at its cost i could go on a nice holiday for a week.....

if they do release a plastic warhound, and if they do as Gonzo suggests, and keep making bigger things in plastic, we may well see a manta in plastic before the Brazil World Cup :)

Makes no difference due to the modern wonders of arc erosion and laser cut moulds...
