Righteo i have always wanted to have a fully painted board so now im gonna have a bash. One of the reasons being that i want to get some terrain to take decent pics in like ding dang digidy Digits does (what alliteration) The other being no one comments in my project log, maybe theres a reason but hey/ And the final reason being that during heavy revision and coursework mode slicing 'n dicing something (that you can imagine as a teacher) with a stanley blade is scarily relaxing. So without further ado this is what ive got so far ![]() ![]() this was gonna be my comedy compo entry base till real life reared its hideously deformed head (needs static grass) ![]() ![]() ![]() then i got all inspired and in true catachan/vietnam spirit PUNJI stakes but with a 40k twist homemade razorwire i cant be the only one who does this but i could tell y'all if iam. Anywho something to look at please post J5 Edit; the first pic looks shiite but there are loads of layers i swear and yeh the pics where taken out side on a chair (GYPO!!!) i know Edited by Jonny5, 27 Apr 2009, 08:20 PM.

First one matches your bases pretty well, that would look good on a table. I agree that some static grass is needed, though - it's a bit bare right now. Second one I like, barbed wire is always a hit (fairly easy to make, even) and the barricade thing looks good. I'm not entirely certain if that's a real flower you've used, but if it is, you might want to give it a healthy dose of purity seal or something - don't want it rotting! And yeah, the pics of your figures do look better when they stand in terrain. Maybe I should do something similar...

Cheers for comments guys although they are rather irrelavant now as that terrain is destroyed A new start this time city fight. I realised that the best thing is to start with is the base board so using my brothers spraygun within two days i had myself a 4x 3.5 foot board job done. I have no pic of the board itself as i could get a decent one so here is one to show what its general affect is. ![]() I then set about making some terrain i got these two done remarkably quick and they look great imo. ![]() ![]() Next up i bought one of the gw kits and set about it. ![]() Its pretty standard but i just wanted to test them out before buying the sector box Using the bits left over i made this little barricade which im quite fond of ![]() i have also made some smaller pieces with the trees that i bought these will come later. But for the moment the simplicity of painting the city boards has one me over. My recipe at the moment is -black undercoat -grey coat (roughly codex grey tone) -homemade black wash as rough as you like For the buildings however i have bought some metallic sprays.., who knows Terrah for now J5 |

The house needs more bricks, more barded wire, more spikes and wood. I shouldn't paint it in metallic paint, it should be better in dark red paint... You should also add some small patches of grass and mos. |

looking good. i did a similar thing with an old works table. i've started basing all my terrain on place mats which i bought for less than a fiver for a pack of 6. perfect size for COD buildings. |
