Not really - the Russian hologram got killed....its impossible to kill a hologram, other than turning them off.

You can always delete it. but yeah i do think that the second episode was a heck of alot better than the first. in my opinion it made up for it in full. The best bit for me was where they took the micky out of the resoloution booost you get in some tv programs, when they were finding out the card. now i'm looking forward to the 3rd part.

not true, if you break the light bead (or what ever it's called) then you can kill/disable the hologram from being projected from that light bead

That was a straight [tinkle]-take of the scene in Bladerunner where Deckard zooms in to a ludicrous degree on a photo. To go along with the whole riff of trying to find their creators to ask for more life, the little Chinese guy who makes synthetic noses, the scale, and the dropping of origami objects. Oh, and the crashing through windows whilst under fire bit that's cropping up in the trailers. Just waiting for a cameo of Rutger Hauer now.

I'm not happy with the amount of topical humour, as that's going to date these shows something rotten, and the kids talking about watching the show on Dave was as cheap a plug as the Vans plug at the start of I Robot.

I'm still enjoying it, but not jumping up and down with joy yet.

Who the hell was the dude in the shop? I've seen him before in something somewhere...

well, i missed the first 2 of back to earth, and i wish i had missed the 3rd. compared to the few episodes i had seen (a couple in seasons 2 and 6) it was appalling. i dont know why, it just wasnt funny

I think the storyline was a bit predictable, saw the despair squid angle coming a mile off.

The bigger scale of the ship was good though and given their low budget they did a respectable job on set design. Weird seeing their quarters with a window though.

It was ok but no-where near as good as it has been in the past. It's repeated as it should have been broadcast tonight on Dave as one episode. The half hour episodes thing with adverts made it hard to watch.

I'd give it a six out of ten for effort.

Just watching it now due to being on nights for the last few days.
So far, I quite like it. Ok, some of that may be my memories of watching it before, and how big a fan I am, but it's not half bad. For some reason I can't quite figure out, I miss the laughter track.

I feel sad in a way, it's like an uncle who seemed cool when you were young is embarassing as an adult... For those who are interested:

Part 1 got 2.06 mllion viewers
Part 2 got 937 000 viewers (half it's audience lost in a day :( )
Part 3 got 1.02 million viewers

Compared to big shows on prime channels it's not much (Doctor Who the other day topped the 8 million mark) but it was a huge success for the Dave channel who don't normally get that many watching. It's basically the Top Gear repeats channel most days is it not? I don't know much about lad culture and Nuts and Zoo and all that.

Anyway, for those few who did enjoy it, apparently there exists the possibility for more... :$

i reckon if they ran it as a single episode instead of cut in to parts it'd have done better, i think it may have given people the impression of separate episodes and as the first part (or 'episode') was quite crap and didn't really do anything people lost interest.

i watched them back to back last night and i enjoyed it, it wasn't really any worse than any of naylors other stuff, i just think it may have been a case of people psyching themselves up to much and thus anything other than perfect was going to be crap.

the story was a bit disappointing for me personally, i absolutely hate the 'rewind button' story lines for any TV show, the more recent Dr Who series' have been pretty awful for that (the whole of the 3rd series being made pointless by one big ol' reset switch in the last 2 episodes :X ), but it was fairly well written and the gaffes were as good as ever, if a little more refined (less penis jokes :P ).

Was really looking forward to it and was really.....disappointed. Even though it all was explained in the finale. The lack of laughter track ruined it too.

It was always going to struggle for ratings as series 7 and 8 kinda washed it up a bit.

[grumble]Do not get me started on Dr who though..[grumble/]
