Had a quick look. It means that people who use the internet more tend to concentrate their time on a few sites (measured by the Gini coefficient), and people who use the internet less tend to spread their pageviews evenly over different sites. Not hugely surprising but they have apparently taken the time to measure it.

So Steve, what does this tell us about Ammobunker users? Or did you think that no idiot would waste his time wading through the article? :D

It was more to do with the fact that we have 1000 members, with 150 being online at one time which is actually fairly incredible - but also because the people who frequent the site are 'dedicated' for the most part (behavioural concentration) it just sort of interested me.

Wasn't saying it was wholly relevant but I wasn't "bullshitting" neither lol.

It seems I have misjudged you most grievously.

I take your point that if 150 of 1000 users are here at any one time there must be a fair amount of 'concentration' going on. Although I frequently have forums open in the background for hours at a time when I'm actually working (or supposed to be) on something else.

I remember the "150". It was some kind of "bot" attack. (I hope that's what I meant!!! lol)

I think the most I've seen on was when we had all the guests checking out the new BB variant. About 70 -80.

The place will grow, because it's good. Word of Mouth really is spreading about the place and I've heard this place come up from several GW staff in stores all across the UK. It is truly amazing that the site has grown.

I post in other places once in a blue moon, but here I post every day and trade within the community very regularly. I suppose I do feel some kind of 'loyalty' to the old bunker... whatever that says about me. ;)

same here. when i get in from school or at the weekend, if the computer is on then chances are AB is on as well, mainly as i cant be bothered clicking the close button only to open it again when i come back to the computer.

as for people checking out the new BB varients, did we get an influx after Rictus' pictures from the FW open day?

I can only comment on my 'net usage, but I check in pretty much everyday because this is the best forum going. Missed a few months last year, but since November this forum has really got my interest in the hobby going in a way it never has in 20 years. So yeah, when I'm on here, I do tend to concentrate and keep an eye on things.

Just wondering right, is there anyway to get a graph or table of use rates over certaqin times, for example average day rates fro a month or average hourly rates for a day, ect.

Maybe a little too technical!

The community spirit and sense of belonging was very much our goal for the site. If you can't bear to tear yourselves away, then me thinks we have ALL achieved something pretty cool.

pal is slang and only has one 'l', I think. A pall is a shroud ;)

Those graphs are interesting (yes I am interested in graphs). I think that posts is a better measure than time spent logged in. I'm a bit surprised that post rate isn't growing as member numbers are, though. Is there a 'page views' graph? And is it going up linearly (page views per day would be better)?
