Servents of Kelinas Fluff Thread/Unit Stats/Codex; Just so it's all in one place ;)

Kelinas
Corporal
As mentioned in the title, all the rules for Codex: Servents of Kelinas are finding thier way here.

Servents of Kelinas

The Servents of Kelinas are a relatively new Chaos army, with a low amount of elite Chaos troops to be fielded. Instead, units like curropted Battle Sisters, heritics, and demons fulfill Kel's retinue of ragtag bandits of Chaos.

Playing a Servents of Kelinas Army

If you want to use a pure Servents of Kelinas army, you mut adhere to the following limitations:

* All Characters and units may bear any mark they like EXCEPT the marks of Khorne or Tzeenich. Those units with said mark may not be used in battle

* Unfavored demons (Khorne and Tzeenich) are not allowed in the army. Unfavored troops (Like Succubai Bloodqueens, Khorne Berserkers, and Tzeenich Sorcerers) are allowed, but they fill the Elite spots of the army

* Favored Troops that are normaly elite or fast attack choices (Like Noise Marines, Succubai Plaugenympths, and Chaos Furies) May count as troop choices, but only 3 of them are allowed to count as troops.

* Favored Daemon Packs or Daemonic Beasts units may add +1 to thier summoning roll.

* Chaos Raptors, Havoks, and Dreadnaughts MUST count as Elite choices, due to Kelinas not having acces to that many 'elite' chaos trops

Summoning Cults

Due to the strange arching powers of the Warp, Kelinas is devoted to researching ways of making stable portals into the Warp. Thus, she calls upon Summoning Cults to release demons into the mortal plains- if the right blood sacrifice is given, at least.

The Servents of Kelinas may field Summoning Cultists, following the profile as the Chaos Cultists featured in the Alpha Leigon info in Codex: Chaos Space Marines. However, the Special Rule for them is instead:

Summoning: Once per battle, a squad of Summoning Cultists may attempt to call forth a servent of Chaos from the Warp. They spend the turn doing the summoning, and may not move or attack that turn. Upon the player's next turn, twin dice are rolled, showing the successfulness of the summoning.

Dice Totals- Name of Event- What happens

2- Warp Collapse- The warp grows out of control, sending the summoners into the fiery abyss. The summoning squad is removed as a casualty.

3-5- Nurglings- Nurgle laughs at your feeble attempt to call aid. Even with his mirth, he calls forth Nurglings to assist. No summoners are lost, and the player may place a squad of Nurglings nearby.

6-8- Demon Troops- The gods have favored us, and sent in some assistance! These servents shall serve us well! At the cost of 2 summon squad members, place a squad of your choice of the following onto the field nearby the summoners.

- Nurgle Plaugebearers
- Slaanesh Deamonettes
- Chaos Furies

9-10- Elite Demons- The gods have favored us, and sent in some assistance! Greater abominations have appeared from the warp, and now go to strike fear into our enemies! At the cost of 4 summon squad members, place a squad of your choice of the following onto the field nearby the summoners.

- Fiend of Slaanesh
- Beast of Nurgle
- Chaos Spawn
- Great Spined Chaos Beast

11- Greater Demon- The gods have favored us, and sent in some assistance! The enemy will not stand against our mighty demonic champions! At the cost of 6 summon squad members, place a squad of your choice of the following onto the field nearby the summoners.

- Great Unclean One, Greater Demon of Nurgle
- Keeper of Secrets, Greater Demon of Slaanesh
- Soul Grinder

12- Chaos Dragon- The skys darken, the earth breaks, and the howl of a thousand eaons of terror echo into the present. From the warp, a terrifying, gigantic, monsterous Chaos Dragon appears from the warp, devouring the remaining summoners before staring out across the battlefield, ready for more prey...

At the cost of the remaining summoning squad, a Chaos Dragon is summoned, with the following stats:

Kelinas Soulstorm, the Connector of Paths

It all began as a joke between gods. Nurgle, Lord of Decay, and Slannish, Lord of Excess, was in thier usual argument over the order of things and the uselessness of the other (Of course the creator of Death would be arguing with the technical creator of life...) Eventually, it led to a bet: Both would show thier might to a non-chaos imbuned human, each getting a helf-year to torment her, and then they would see, when she eventually turned to chaos, who she would choose, Nurgle, or Slannish

Both of the Chaos gods set thier sights on a young, 19-year-old human, Kelinas by name. A slave to the dark eldar, the girl was kept under terrible care bythe foul beasts. As a bonus, the Death Gaurd were going to be sweeping through, ensuring that Nurgle's half of the story would blend in, and make her a perfect target for the Lords of Chaos.

Thus, they began the unearthly torment. Father Nurgle tormented her days by creating death and destruction, leaving her homeless and alone in the world, and tormenting her every moment, as towards the end of his six months, he poisoned her with a powerful, incurable desiese, leaving her weak in mind and weakened in spirit. Flush with success, he let Slannish take over.

Slannish was more planning and calculating. Disguising himself, he watched her for a month, to learn everything about her, to know her habits, to understand her suffering. Eventually, when he decided the time was right, he spirited her away, and for the rest of Slannish's time, she was treated like a queen, learning all forms of way she could feel pleasures of both body and mind, finishing her curroption.

At the end of that year, both Chaos gods visited her, and offered her the chance of joining chaos. As expected, she accepted, and both gods held thier breath as they waited to hear if she would choose a god to follow. However, to thier surprise, the next day she adorned her body with both thier symbols.

Though utterly shocked, the gods were delighted at this turn of events, and blessed thier prized daughter, though each gift came with a price. Nurgle cured the girl of the terrible desiese, and gave her the powers over all the various desieses he himself could control, though if she was ever imtimately inclined, she would have to be sure not to release any if her mind was lost in pleasure. In co-alliment with Nurgle's gift, Slannish re-formed her body to be the apitany of beauty, and gave her great knolage in the demon arts, though her price was she would need to breed at least once per earth-days, or her mind would be taken over by one of his own spirits until her body was mated.

With such powerful gifts and a great will for Chaos, Kelinas is not only powerful, she is also one of the most fairist creatures of Chaos' command.

A Servents of Kelinas army of 500 Points or more may be led by Kelinas Soulstorm as it's Chaos Lord. If you decide to take her then she counts as one of your HQ choices for the army. She must be used exactly as described below and may not be given extra equipment or psychic powers from the Chaos Armory.

My attempt for rules for the Succubai unit in the works:

Fast Attack Choice: Succubai Sisters

INQUISITION DATAFILE 62613
HERITIC PROFILE: Succubai
HERITIC ROLE: Confusion of Imperial ranks, Chaos footsoldier
HERITIC DANGER RATING: 6/10
HERITIC FIRST IDENTIFIED: 40214, SERVING UNDER THE SERVENTS OF KELINAS

Of all the warriors that may fall to the whims of Chaos, none are more sorrowful then the very champions that come from the seeds of Man. Indeed, the strictness of the Battle Sisters was meant to ensure that herasy would not break thier ranks. However, some still fall, leaving death and destruction from thier heritic acts.

It was shortly after the Connector of Paths started the Violet March when the first of these fallen sisters was seen. A subsquadren of the Pandemica Battle Sisters had gone missing in the past month on holdings in the Marion system, deep on the outer fringes of Imperial space. A company of Emporer's Fist was sent to investigate the disappearence, as was Inquisitor Magni Pauline, a loyal warrior of the Empire.

When the Ultramarines followed a distress signal from the Emporor's Fist company, they found barely any survivors, and daily sieges by what was thought was one of the largest hordes of Deamonettes ever seen before. It was only afterwards that a half-insane Inquisitor Pauline expained, with much fear in her heart.

It turns out that the Marion system was actually being a holding ground for the Pandemica's Repentia Sisters. Somehow, the seeds of curroption had blossomed at an astrinomical scale, curropting almost 2,000 Sisters, leaving the remaining 300 garrisoned outmatched, soon sacrificed or murdered in the bloody conflict. The time between the curroption and thier mutation was only estimated at about 5 days, but somehow, the Sisters turned more... demonic, the heritical creatures now looking similar to Deamonettes, but with a subtle cunning and unearthly draw to them. Testimonials from the Emporor's Fist commander showed that some of his men seemed awestruck, unable to fire on these creatures until it was too late.

There has been four major variations recorded, besides the generic Succubai form:

KHORNEITE BLOODQUEENS- Wearing nothing more then slightly-scaled and hardened hide, and wielding nothing more then elongated claws, these beasts care nothing more then seeking skulls for thier Father's throne. Thier beauty is only matched by untamed ferosity and hatred.

NURGLE PLAUGENYMPTHS- With lilth greenish bodies covered here and there with the signs of Nurgle's plauges, these creatures take to the skys on thier larger-then usual wings, able to leap over the terrain and land behind the enemy, gladly spreading the Grandfather's gifts with an impish glee.

SLAANESH MISTRESS- Drawing on the very essence of pleasure itself, the Mistress charge the enemy lines, often using relics of thier former lives. Mistresses take an extreme joy in pyrotechnics, such as Hand Flamers, and sword weapons like the Evicerator.

TZENITCH MYSTICS- With long arms, anchient garb, and the sense of telekenesis, the Mystics are potential psychers for Tzenitch, allowing the chaos creatures to have one more caster in thier ranks.

I was hoping on some feedback off the Succubai rule, I got this nagging feeling that they're overpowered for some strange reason...

Kelinas

Oki, did a bunch of consulting and stuff over the rules (even a disasterous posting on /tg/, it seems my thread will live in infamy, and I did some basic edits of some rulesets...

1. Chaos Dragon stats

That's the only USEFUL bit of information I got off the /tg/ info- Chaos Dragon was too strong (the rest of the thread was basicly saying how much of a [Not on the floor please]head I was ^^;) anyway, think this is better:

Points/Model WS BS S T W I A L SV Min/Max Squad
385 5 4 10 8 10 4 6 - -/+5 1 Chaos Dragon

Type- Gargantuan Creature
Role- Heavy Support/Summoned
Weapons- Breath Flamer, Breath Melta, Daemonic Talons
Options- N/A
Daemonic Gifts- Daemonic Flight, Daemonic Runes, Daemonic Stature, Daemonic Talons, Daemonic Visage
Special Rules- Summoned (Kelinas Summoning), Fearless, Invulnerable, Gargantuan Creature

2. The Renegade Militia Summoning System

Kel's forces are mostly a renegade force, meaning that Renegade Militia don't have that much of a summoning poweress on them.

This is remedied by modifying my Summoning Cult and the Summoning Spell rule. It's now this:

Summoning Cult
Summoning Cult Spellkeeper
Points/Model WS BS S T W I A L SV Min/Max Squad
6 3 3 3 3 1 3 1 7 +6 10-20 Cultists
+5 3 3 3 3 1 3 2 8 +6 See Options
Type- Infantry
Role- Troops
Starting Weapons- Close Combat Weapon and Laspistol or Autopistol
Options-
Special Rules- Summoning Spell

Summoning Spell
Done by Summoning Cults
The Summoning Cult must declare a summoning to happen during the Movement Phase, and may not move or attack during that turn. Upon the next Chaos turn, a roll similar to the Daemonic Summoning roll is done to see if the ritual succeeded in a summoning. If successful, roll two d6s and check the results on the following table:

2- Warp Collapse- The Summoning Squad is removed as a casualty
3-5- Nurglings- Place a squad of Nurglings in base contact to the Summoning Squad
6-8- Demonic Troops- At the cost of 3 Summon Squad Members, place a squad of the following choices in base contact to the Summoning Squad- Nurgle Plaguebearers, Slaanesh Deamonettes, Chaos Furies
9-10- Elite Demons- At the cost of 6 Summon Squad Members, place a squad of the following choices in base contact to the summoning squad- Fiend of Slaanesh, Beast of Nurgle, Chaos Spawn
11- Greater Demon- At the cost of 9 Summon Squad Members, place a squad of the following choices in base contact with the Summoning Squad- Great Unclean One, Keeper of Secrets, Soul Grinder, Great Spined Chaos Beast, Greater Chaos Spawn
12- Chaos Dragon- At the cost of the remaining Summoning Squad, summon a Chaos Dragon at the same location of the now deceased squad
If there are not enough Summoning Squad members to pay the toll for actions 6-11, then an automatic Warp Collapse is declared, and the squad is removed as a casualty. Summoning this way may only be attempted once per 6 turns.

3. Succubai Sisters.

Changed options, some stats, and fazed out 'Undivided' Succubai. Stats are now:

Succubai Sisters- Nurgle Plaugenymphs

4. Kelinas's Ruleset

Did some minor tinkers with Kelinas's skills

Lovebite
When the weapon is fired, it knocks back Infantry ˝” away. Does not affect Monstrous Creatures, Jetbikes, Vehicles, or Calvary

Plagues of Nurgle
Any successful blow done in melee causes a wound on the next opponent’s turn. Invulnerable Saves or Armor Saves may not be used to block it.

Refusal of Corruption
Kelinas may not be used as a catalyst for a Greater Demon summoning, or be represented as a Daemon Prince(ss)

Knowledge of Chaos
If Kelinas is facing another Chaos army, her Strength, Weapon Skills, and Ballistic Skills are raised by 1

Think this helps a bit with custom rule creation for more fairness...
