Right I have finally succumbed to the fantasy fever that is sweeping the AB. This has prompted me into finishing the last few units of my Dark elf army. Now i've had a dark elf force since the codex b4 the most recent one was first released and have painted them once (to a very poor standard) and have been slowly repainting them over the yrs. Now i haven't got as much to paint as some of the other guys at the moment it stands as: 5 converted dark riders 10 CoKs(the metal 1s) these need repainting 5 corsairs(the metal ones) I don't really intend to buy any more models for them as i'm not a big fan of the newer dark elf kits, well other than the cold ones. tho if rumours of plastic witch elves are true i might get them if they are any good. So the main focus for the challenge for me will be characters, seen as i have a bit of an addiction to converting and sculpting them  so for my first update her is the beginning of a scratch sculpted sorceress inspired by these pics:  Inspiration! and the armature so far:    I'll try get some pics of all the stuff i have painted already, later on. Cheers guys and indeed it is from the warhammer game, I ain't got the game but i've seen a lot of the concept art which is pretty good stuff. heres sum quick updates ain't had much time to mess with it:

Great looking sculpt. One thing I thing could use some good improvement is her stomach. As far as I know you want to give her a bikini, but around her stomach you have a wierd kinda line. If you want to give a top with a bare stomach, then it's great, but otherwise it might be better if you try to smooth that part out. I also think the head could use a few minor tweaks, but I can't really put my finger on it..... Keep up the great work though . I've never really had the patience to improve my sculpting .

Baru: I think its meant to be some sort of open fronted swim-suit style thingy, rather than a two piece. Just makes her look a little strange and elfy, I guess. Looking great Simon, quite like the face. Better since teefs were added, lol. Keep it up mate. Dave out. |
