If the white was bleached bone, then they'd be from Bogenhafen. Great looking start so far though. Makes me want to dust off my empire army and learn 7th from the rulebook I've had since it came out, but haven't looked at. Khrangar |

kind of half assed re-update, I managed to squeeze some juice out of my camera and got better pics here you go:   Purple isn't so dark IRL, just got browns and base to do, then the cannon! Dino - yes I probably will buy shiney new Empire stuff, but I'm not going to be buying loads to not paint it all, I'll buy - paint - buy. Honest! Khrangar - you clearly know more aboot this square-based phenomenom than me

By the power of I-phone, I have the power! Well I'm in sunny jockland with no models, no paint, no broadband but I have 3G! Yay! But don't know how to upload to photobucket, boo, nor how to cut and paste for ammoriss, double boo!!! Well I managed to get into a GW store and pick up some new toys, I'd love to present my new hellblaster volley gun and hand gunners but meh! HMD, I've got 4 familes to visit in 3 1/2days mate, would love to get hammered with you but I'll have to pass, I'll have a coke with you at the open bash(am driving there, Gonzo is responsible!). Marovian- the purple is easy, foundation purple, add a blob of white to it for the highlight then wash it with the new purple wash. Simples. White is easy too, foundation grey(the lightest one), the 2 or 3 thin coats of Vallejo white paint. Purple and white quaters, done. |

The white and purple are really well painted, and I agree it's a rather spiffing scheme. Cannon, Hellblaster and Handgunners, nice bunch to start with too Khrangar's mention of Bogenhafen makes me think of Dark Omen. Kinda wanna do some mercenaries or a force from the Border Princes now! |

Hello again PAGANS, I am finally back from McJockland, feeling far from refreshed.....family life tosh! Thanks for your comments so far gents! I have some piccies of my stash so far, not pictured is an Empire Battalion and Engineer, though having read the army book I'll probably get the Engineer with the bird, pigeon bombs ahoy!  Hellblaster and Rocket thing, will be magnetised (if I can find my magnets!)  Numb3r5....important for remembering how the bloody things rank up!  More shooty stuff. Shooty stuff is great! I'll try to get the pistol cavalry guys, they do have a name but I forget! More to come, but I have orkses for the bash that need building and painting, tick tock, 13 days painting! |

So you're going to get a gunline, aren't you  No indeed, the few strengths that the empire have is their guns, their big guns... But you can get cheap infantry, which is important to! And I'm glad you chose to use an engineer, a slot many seem to forget, but don't expect to much of it

@ Novogord - I still have to read the army book good and proper, bomb pigeons sound aces!!! @ AR - Purple is the shizzle, purple and yellow, not so!!! @ HMD - my FoW huns are on the shelf, I've been too inebriated to paint, I can just about manage to stick some plastic guys together, Seriously though, I've had the best 3 days possible with the family over the easter holiday. I'd just like to thank Jesus for dying so I could have such a wonderful weekend. Jesus, you truly are special! Big respect!
