Its not Digits fault ;)

As I have mentioned in my general log, I have a large Mortal Chaos army that I have been collecting for years now, and only now have I started to make the army look like a coherant army, and my dream. To have a fully painted armies for each system.

But this log is about my Warriors of Chaos, so i'll carry on the theme with them. The army itself is mainly Chaos Warriors, as I love the models. So dark, evil and they show brute strength. Awesome in my books. I have other units too, but the Warriors are going to be a important factor in this army.

I have plenty of Characters to paint too, from Sigvald to a Khornate Lord on Jugger to Harry the Hammer, so they'll be the things that I will paint as breaks from the monotone task of painting Warriors.

Painting wise, I wanted to make them look like Paul Sawyers Chaos Warriors from the Lure of the Gods articles in White Dwarf a while ago, while adding my own basing to it. I wanted to try a snow theme as I haven't tried snow before.

The theme is about the infamous Chaos Lord, Garruk preparing for an invasion of the Old World with his mighty legion of Chaos, gathering more allies and monsters as it gains momentum.

To show you what I have done already, here they are:

My first 20 man Chaos Warrior unit. I have painted 12 of these and a movement tray was done today. 8 undercoated ones are at the back. These will be done first.

My Chaos Knights. A pain in the arse when it comes to paitning and ranking up, but its worth it in the end. Note to self, stick shields on before ranking up the model....

My Tzeench Sorcerer, ready to blast stuff.

These guys have a good momentum at the moment from me, so I'll be finishing quite a bit of stuff in April (25 Marauders, 5 Maruader Horsemen, 10 Warhounds) to make a 1000pt army ready.

I also have to buy alot of movement trays for this... I have about 60 Chaos Warriors left, new and old to paint!

Nice! I especially like the chaos warriors. The snow base really gives them the north man feel.

I don't know whos fault it is to be honest, but this is the motivation I need to get this army painted! (Better then Harry's ToFPs over on the other site!)

After some investigating, I can conclude that its Brambletens fault!

"Gav: cant you be persuaded to join it dabbling with fantasy? although there arent any armies that look like fish, im sure there are others you might like"

Digits's reply
"That sounds like a challenge! 2000 point fantasy army from scratch, ready for NEXT years bash! Anyone up for it? "

So really its both of your fault!

Yes, thank you for that Gav. Enough of the blame already!

Saying that, if Brambleton want's to keep shouldering the burden, let him! ;)

Right - on with the modelling!

As if :D

Well, I have returned to the Modeling and Painting side of things. With exams all over the place, I haven't had much time for painting, but I made an effort today to finish some bits off for June.

Well, here is the products:

8 Warriors done for this month.

Finished unit of 20 Warriors

And the test Marauder Model (piccy is a bit dark)

Tommorow, I am going to start on the 25 man unit of Chaos Marauders, and then paint a Nurgle Sorcerer.

Cheers!

They look really good mate. Maybe a bit of highlighting on the marauders skin might set it off nicely? :)
