Well, whilst I like the majority of the model over the old one (the old ones ammo tank's just looked too tacked on and dangerous) I'm not so sure on the turret weapons themselves. Certainly the Hellhound and Devil dog's weapons would look better doubled up, but the Banewolf's doesn't quite fit the image in the codex. |

well the whole concept of chemical delivery like that is Arse aniway. and i wont use the banewolf but the other 2 look spammy and I shall probably retire my current (copy of the FW one to the interior guard. I shall also be mounting the hull Meltaa option and these vehicles shall be attached to my engineer unit to which i think it is most suited. |

Banewolf I don't like, but the Devildog is good. I still prefer the forgeworld hellhound though, the flame cannon on the new one still looks too small. |

I don't like the banewolf weapon, and the devildog isn't that hot either. I like the fuel tank area tho. Think I'll be sticking with the FW ones tbh. |

Has to be said though. They look like the line drawings in the dex so no-one can claim to be surprised. |

nice find old guard, i have to admit that i like the new body shape but have not a great fan of the turret due to the fact i like the remote turret option, i feel that a slight kitbash may be in order |

Body is nice as stated. Pick yourselves up the dreadnought flamer arm and convert your turret - should look damn good then. |

I echo the comments, dissapointed, whats the point of a chemical weapon I don't know, I'll be scratchbuilding the melta options, at least it has a decent stat line. FW have nothing to worry about whatsoever. On another note, Chimera has 5 guard firing from the hatch, does this mean its not classed as open top because it says it counts as using the inbuilt weapons? If so, I'm sticking in a chimera a sniper squad under all that armour will be a useful tool! |

That's right mate. You just keep that expensive infantry inside the tin can, makes my job a little easier.......... You're right though - ruling is a little ambiguous. The melta drive-by's should be fun! |

It does say though that it represents firing the fixed lasgun emplacements. So while you have 5 shots, they are only lasgun ones. Though it has to be said, the way they're pointing up in the air it'd be amazing if they actually hit anything alongside the chimera... |

Turret on the new Russ is a good improvement, like the general appearance of the whole thing. |

hmm, i got the new codex yesterday and had an in depth skim read (if there is such a thing ) and it just seemed like they'd striped all the flavour and passion out of the old codex, i like a lot of what i see, but it just seems more bland.mind you i've felt the same about a lot of the more recent codex revisions (odd that it hasn't effected WHFB (imo) to the same extent). is it just me? |
