It does look awesome... but is anyone getting banner ads for Tom Cruise's official site in this thread? I laughed out loud over that.

I'm glad I waited on my Drop Troops and I'm buying 2 to go with my Vulture.

Penal Battalion are a welcome return - let's see some human bombs :) - and much more evocative for modelling than conscripts.

So how many bits of the Valk could be shared with a Vulture kit?

The body of the Vulture is different. The cockpit would be the same. Wings you could probably get away with too.

Cockpit and wings, thats about it i think.

And they did a pretty acurate tranfer of the tau skyray and piranha to plastic, so i don't swee why this should be any different, i think i'll have a couple of these.

The body of the Vulture is different.
If the tail sections are sepearate they could be used for both

Hmmm, I'm still a little peeved at this one, to be honest (could you tell from my previous comment. . .). Much the same as I was when the plastic Baneblade and ShadowHammerBaneFaceBladeLol kit were relased/anounced. Why. Cos the prestiege factor is gone. Back in the day, it used to be an honour to face someone with the resources to get even a single Valkyrie or Vulture or whatever (and the patience to put together the sometimes god-awful miscasts). But now? Any 12 year old kid can pick up a Valk, butcher the kit and paint it badly. And if it is a perfect replica of the resin version, then all those lucky gits who went and bought and slaved over it to put it together correctly will just slip into the background.

Frankly, its just a silly idea.

if that is the plastic valkyrie then i'm a happy bunny, though i do have to agree with digits that it is a very close copy of the forgeworld one and that i still can't see the financial side of bringing one out in plastic (and the stompa but i'm a miserable and tight old sod), good find though if its true though
Because I've only seen two on the tables at WHW, kids don't have Visas to buy online at FW, this will become like the baneblade, cash over the counter and sold like the bucket load. If thats £35 each, online at discounted stores, that will be £25.00 each, so I'll be having four please! At least.........

Want to see these tank variants, tho where the hell is the Annihilator variant? Its a brilliantly balanced model, why not include it?

Edit: I'd have prefered to see the ratlings go and keep the cannon fodder, hobbits with guns, arhhh!!!!!

There are slight differences and a little less detail, , I don't think they'll be exactly the same.

Heh. I'm suddenly very relieved that I parted from my resin Valk last week. I'd never got round to getting the thing built in 2 years of ownership, so it was time for it to go.

Of course, I'll be using the proceeds to buy 3 of the plastic ones...

I have to agree with you HMD, it does kinda take the exclusivity out of it. While im all for cheap kits, You knew you were up against someone who wasnt an idiot when they had put the time, effort and money into making a fw flyer or superheavy, now everyone and their mums can use valks. AND WHY THE HELL IS IT A SKIMMER!!!

seriously, its a flyer. But that would be too complex to explain in a codex though wouldnt it?
