Yeah I agree, I was kinda planning on doing Catachans with Urban bases, but they would have urban camo fatigues etc on, so wouldn't look out of place.

it was probably decided by GW to keep the colour scheme of the cadian and catachan boxes the same, and maybe cadians sell better, so they went for the scheme that worked best for them

I like the catachan flag so I need a box for my Drogans. I dare say the chan vests will be useful for arty crew / skellies.

I agree, they should have photoshopped them better though...

list grows longer, the box art as a whole has been rushed, the stormlord box is shocking with gaps alover the tank.

Is Sal as thrilled and excited as you? Or is she warming up the waffle iron for your special areas?

Jase, epic bugger! Are the gaps equally bad in the shadowsword configuration?

They had the codex at my local store today, didn't took the time to read it but I did glance over the Valyrie entry, I've finally found the army that will draw me away from my Space Marines! An all-airborne Guard force, the sight of 9 Valks swooping over the battlefield is just too fantastic to resist. 6 Vendettas and 3 Valks total nearly 1000 points by themselves but that gives you 18 twin linked lascannons and 6 S4 AP5 one-shot pieplates. Just have to think of a theme and find the cash...

Theres plenty of ways in Holland to make cash!

Burnie, it was just a rushed photo, the kit itself is brilliantly cast, all the parts fit together perfectly.

Can you confirm the transport capacity on the Vendetta for us? There seems to be some concerns about whether it can carry troops or not, and if it can, whether it's the same or less than the Valkyrie.

It's the same, 12 infantry. Compared to a Valkyrie the Vendetta seems to be way better for the points, you can even upgrade it with Hellstrikes and other weaponry to give it some anti-infantry punch, though a Vet squad with a Heavy Flamer transported inside should be capable of that as well.

For the box photo they used the 'prototype' one that we saw at the thank you day which was built so that 5 out of the 6 options could be done off the one chassis. Consequently (and especially after us hamfisted lot got our hands on it) the gaps show. If you look at some of the WD pictures it again looks a bit ropey, but as jase said it fits together nicely.

hmmm...I want a valk but they are pretty expensive for what they are, tho 1980s Soviet airborne is very tempting.

Just wondering, concerning pre-orders, when is it that GW takes your money? When you order it or when it's dispatched?

Hud on now. . . That cannot be right, surely? My DaveLogic (tm) tells me it ought to be around six. Twelve transport slots and the weapons loadout of a full gunship sounds too retarded to be true (even coming from the guys who made the damn thing a skimmer).

Dave out.

When I rang up to pre-order a Baneblade, I asked that very question and was told that they take the money at the point of order, not despatch. Bit of a pain I know.

As an aside, according to the advert at the top of the page, I can order my Thai beauty today! No advanced orders for them apparetly!
