We dont get snow in Southampton. Too near to the sea. I've said that to my kids numerous times. Yeah right!!! I've got about 200mm of it out there and its still falling! Its going to be chaos out there! and fortunately I'm working from home. Watching the hillarious sight of the cat's first encounter with snow (she was seriously NOT impressed) has kept the kids amused and they're all excited. so whats happening where you are? (obviously the Aussies need not 'Its not snowing where we are Nah nanah nanah nah!') and of course it goes without saying 'lets be careful out there' * *cookie for quote recognition - probabbly old farts only with this one |

Inch or two here in Kent - only a few of us got into work, though skinny, spiky, bike tyres are far more effective than all the cars I passed![]()

Live on the highest point in the county and at best we've had a light covering. How annoying. Luckily on a day off, so not having to attend the numerous crashes caused by the incompetent british motorist! The forecast is for minus 5 tonight though - if that ain't painting weather I don't know what is. |

I've just been involved in an accident because of a bloody icy patch at the end of my estate. Then another car ran inot the back of us becasue of the same ice patch. My mums car is knacked up, but we are both unharmed thank God. We've got RAC to sort it out though. Try not to drive today if its icy around where you live ![]() DK |

Bah! Humbug I say! Wimpy Southerners the lot of you. You're not "snowed in" untill you literally cannot open the door. 5-6 ft of snow, and then, and only then does it start to be snow, and we still had to go to school, walk if the buses weren't going, and we got in trouble if we were late. Bah -voiceofthewarp |
