Hey guys, I'm new to the forum and after looking for ages for a forum that actually answers people even if they dont have quadrouple digit posts, I think I may of found it!
So here's my army list and lets see how it goes, this is oriented around Tournaments (on a local level) and aim to be good enough to compete at the GT.

Big Mek w/ 'eavy Armour, Cybork Body, KFF, Grot Oiler - 105

Big Mek w/ Cybork Body, KFF, Grot Oiler - 100

15 Lootas - 225

20 Choppa Boyz; Nob w/ PK, Bosspole - 160

20 Shoota Boyz; Nob w/ PK, Bosspole; 1 Big Shoota, 1 Rokkit Launcha - 180

20 Shoota Boyz; Nob w/ PK, Bosspole; 2 Big Shoota - 170

20 Shoota Boyz; Nob w/ PK, Bosspole; 2 Big Shoota - 170

3 Killa Kanz w/ Big Shootas - 120

3 Killa Kanz w/ Big Shootas - 120

3 Killa Kanz w/ Rokkit Launchas - 150

Ok, so onto strategy;
The Idea if for this is The Big Meks are in squads of boyz (or maybe by themselves for now) directly behind Killa Kanz confering their 4+ save onto them and because the Kanz are infront it grants the 4+ saves to any orks behind them too, so the enemy will find it difficult to get through this wall. Lootas will pick off light vehicles, hard units or flank skirters. Tbh I want to find some points to equpit atleast one Squadron of Killa Kanz to have rokkit launchas to take out those pesky av14 Land Raiders and the likes that tournament players seem to hide in against orks.

Any tips and help will be more than welcome, thanks in advance guys!

as an alternative to lootas I'd be inclined to have 2 dreads, your big meks allow them to be fielded as a trrop choice. You will have drastically reduced your offensive fire power but it it now fire on the move. two big units of lootas standing still just scream out to be shot to pieces. they give you another two units capable of destroying landraiders etc in melee.

orks aren't the best at laying down firepower, they get out shot by all but 'nids! So your lootas won't be missed, except when facing a similar horde army...

I'd also just have either rockets or big shootas in my mobs not a combination of both, rockets in shoota boy mobz and big shootas in the choppa mob.

But hey I don't play that often so what would I know??

Changed the list!

Lootas are absolutely sick and would be missed alot, can't afford to lose them for dreads, especially when I already have 9 Killa Kanz (and i've now give a squad Rokkit Launchas) who have meks to give them 4+ saves on the run. I've also made 2 shooty boy mods to carry 2 Big Shootas each squad bar the first which has 1 rokkit launcha and 1 big shoota so there's less of a mixed thing.

Also, I've made the 2 squads of 8 Lootas into one squad of 15 to give them Mob rules and such 'cause squads of 8 orks are too vulnerable, though I lose versatility of target choice!

15 lootas: a potential 45 S8 shots per turn, damn scary unit! Come get some!

I'm intent on an 11 walker horde, just need 3 more kans!

Trick is with the orks is quantity instead of quality. Yes you may have a rubbish BS, but the amount of shots you have is crazy! None of its long ranged though (with a few exceptions), so you'll need to get forward, fast.

I thinkm you should stick a couple of dreads in for the cool factor TBH, they are a nasty scoring unit when you have a Big mek!

the_great_gonzo; The whole Walker Horde thing is getting me down, Killa Kanz are around £12 each, and I need 9, so like £108 ($216-ish).

Death Korp; I'm thinking of dropping some Killa Kanz for a dread, as I have a marines Dreadnought I want to convert and was originally just gonna have it as a Killa Kan. The Meks Tools mixed with Vehicle Obscure (because of KFF) means a Dreadnought would be awesome but I chose killa kanz cause you need to take down 3 instead of 1. But for now I'll have a dreadnought, thanks!
