The Moderators were invited up today to see the next couple of months launch items. The Super Heavy was the first: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The superstructure can be mounted fore and aft, the engine deck has been reworked, and the Heavy Plasma isn't part of this kit. GW pointed out its not 6 superheavy variants but 6 superheavy variations in the design. The Heavy Bolters are removable and targeters can still be used to give a better BS rating. Up clase this kit has alot of potential and hopefully be the same price as the Baneblade kit. Edited by jasevx, 14 Dec 2008, 07:38 PM.

So is thisa going to be a baneblade with the variety kit added. A bit like a vindy..you can either build a vindy or leave at as a bog standard rhino. Hope so as I have the bottom bit of bblade but not the top bit. ( never, ever, ever leave a 4 year old boy alone with a banebalde and his collection of ben10 figures while you go and make a coffee....it was a horrible sight ) |

He never mentioned it mate. Saw what looked like the inside of a plastic valkyrie in their folder though, as well as what appeared to be a new chimera. More "tank" looking. It was possible it was a new plastic hellhound however with the fuel tank secured inside the hull as opposed to sitting proudly outside! Also the book had the forward section for the plastic BB kit with the vulcan canons. They looked sweet. |

Yes we presume with the stormlord bits. When the hull moves forward all the top doors for disembarking troops are there. We didn't see the full sprue which was a shame! de Selby, we were the only web based group invited, does that answer your questions? |

Well, Digits answered my really burning question, but it seems that if it really is happening they are keeping the big stampy orkbot under wraps. Damn them.I am properly impressed by how in-the-loop you guys are at WH world though. Obviously they were even more awed/frightened by your tank collection than I am. It is interesting that you would get an invite; I get the impression that GW sees the sites slanted more towards rumours as more hostile, but ammobunker is first and foremost about collecting/painting/gaming: very obviously bunkerites are actual customers. Feel free to disregard my ill-informed ramblings. |

They're only in the loop due to the threat of Sal being left alone with them... |

Few more pictures of the big bastard.![]() ![]() Things to note: A - New rear engine panel c/w B - detail that you don't see with the superstructure in place combined with... C - detail on the back of the superstructure that you don't see when in place... giving the impression that you can mount the superstructure forward with the tranport behind (so that the bits detailed will then be visible) D - Main weapon, in three parts and can be broken down to form two different weapons, Also the front panel is detailed on the underside, flip it over and it should be perfect bit to form the base plate to the troop compartment. |

I don't see it being much more than the current model, not with the FW cariants priced as they are. |

Affraid not, this is something a number of people are thinking but based on what we saw and heard appears wrong. The baneblade/hellhammer combo is as it is. This Kit will contain 2 possible variants/variations based arond a fixed superstructure therefore with the superstructure at the rear (and with some clever non gluing of the gun components as demonstrated by GW) you can get: 1)Strormsword, with siege cannon add the funny muzzle thing and you get another option 2)(in WD they have brought the structure to the front and called this Doomhammer) add the length of barrel and the funny muzzle thing and you have the shadowsword 3), dependent upon how you feel on the day you could have any one of those. Bring the superstructure forward and you could theoretically get the same three options again though these are not currently known patterns. ( the exception there being the picture of the Doomhammer as shown in WD) The twin vulcan mega bolters were only seen as CAD images (though a close look at the model itself did show that the top of the hull was reversible and looked like a deck plate if turned upside down Item D in Rictus's pictures). it may be assumed that the troop carrier (stormlord) is a variant, however the very nice chap who explained all this would not list by name the 6 variants/variations. Bt no. It is my understanding that the sprues which make a baneblade a baneblade will not be included in this kit (therefore suggesting that it will be in the £60 region as previously mentioned, so best start thinking how you can turn that hull of yours into a Gorgon, methinks. With regards to the afformentioned CAD drawings, these were all ones seen before (notably the supposed hellhound) with no confirmation if or when they would see the light of day.
