Here are some pictures of my terrain. The GW Modular gameboard I sprayed and painted in about 5 hours all in (apart from the bunkers and defence line pieces). The cityfight table was built up over time.![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

That's bleedin' fantastic mate. Never thought I'd see something that cool made from a gw table. Liking the use of quantum gothic as well, and the bridge is also very cool. Perfect place for some casualties

The big bridge is a Pegasus one (same ones who do the gothic building). The smaller infantry one looks like platformer pieces. Unless I miss my guess. |

This is the first large terrain piece a made about 3 years back. It had been painted in a light stone colour, green flock on the slopes and not a lot of rubble. This wouldn't fit in with my current board set up so I decided to rubble it up a little and give it a new paint job. It's nearing completion, just a bit more on the brickwork and weathering, then the addition of some Imperial propaganda posters to add (maybe some barbed wire too) and then I'll be done. As it was; ![]() As it is now; ![]() ![]()

I like that, the before and after shots make it look like all the battles you've fought over it have actually damaged it. Nice work. |

It looks much better in the rubble state than with the clean grass on it. I have a bunch of those walls in a similar state to how yours was with the green flock, this has inspired me to redo them! Where are the brick walls from? |

Thanks for the feedback chaps! Silent Gallows: The walls are simply 5mm foamcard with textured plasticard brickwork. I found it easiest to make the walls complete with the brickwork and then deconstruct from there. The base was made from 6mm mdf with the built up layers using more foamcard. |

Ok, I've weathered it up and added some posters to it. I experimented with pigments for the first time too, mainly on the collapsed outer wall sections to try and make it look dustier. I was also unsure as how and where to position the barbed wire so have left it to be added at a later date.![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() .... and some other terrain I'm working on; ![]() ![]()

Ok, the one problem I don't like with vac-formed stuff is it tends not to lie flat on the table due to the way they are crammed into a plastic bag, so I've decided to mount the Planetscape craters onto 6mm MDF bases to solve this problem and to make them them more durable as they are in their own right nice pieces of terrain. I started by trimming off the excess plastic that runs around the edges of the craters. I then marked out the outlines of the craters onto the MDF leaving about 30-40mm to the edge. Once these were cut I started shaping the edges with a heavy duty craft knife to create the slope and then sanded them to get them as smooth and natural as I could. The Craters were then superglued to the MDF and left to dry. I then used DAS modelling clay to fill in any gaps and to blend the craters into the base. Here are the pics so far; ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Once the modeling clay has dried fully I will then gravel and texture the bases. |

Quick update; Once the clay had dried fully, PVA was then applied to the slopes ready for slivers of slate and chippings to be added before finally adding the gravel. Once this was dry I used a coat of matt spray to act as a sealant for the gravel. A quick roughcoat was applied before finally spraying the entire models with black primer. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Seriously nice work on that cityscape, I'm going to have to grab some inspiration from that. Very nice table you've got. |
