Ah of course old boy. If you'll excuse me, according to my pocket watch I'm late for a waistcoat-and-top-hat-fitting. I'll just hop aboard my steam powered means of conveyance, should be back in a jiffy to continue reading this fine piece of literature

Cracking Praetorians and I really like the use of the Perry's figures. They'll give an already characterful range even more character.

RG, they are pretty special. If I didn't have four other projects on the go and they weren't so damn expensive, I'd have to have some.
Lined up like that they look damn good. More please.

Oh very very nice :)
I like the blue against the scarlet jackets. Traditionally weren't the trouser's black? I know with our scarlets we wear Blues trousers which are black with a red line down the seam...

I think they were black...but i hate trying to highlight black :P

I'm surprised no one noticed their shiny well polished boots!

Next up on the painting table is the 1st squad of B platoon (which if i get finished by Sunday i will have made my target fo 20 models a week!!).

Anyone have any suggestions on how to do unit markings? I was thinking of either putting a mark on the back of the bases, or painting the leg stripes different colours for each squad.

The troops are looking great :)

I like the idea of the different coloured leg stripes for each squad, that would look better than something on the base!

depending on how big an army you are going for i would save different leg stripes for platoon or even company level identification.

I'm hopefully going to have a banner for the the company command squad and pennants for each platoon.

I think you should just leave them straight blue rather than add striping to seperate squads. The time may come when you may decide you don't like your current list and want to reorganise, if you've used striping to tell them apart you'd have to go through and repaint...
Just leave it as is I reckon, looks really good :)

++EDIT++
If you want a way to tell squads apart for set up and unpacking from transport how about a numbering system on the underside of the base? I used it with my first Guard army and it worked really well. Easy to repaint if you change your list too.

I always love seeing Praetorian armies, and the painting on yours is great, especially on helmets and epaulets. Looking forwards to more!

Update time!!

I am a tiny bit behind on my schedule, but not so much that it will be badly set back :)

So we have pictures of;
Heavy bolter Squad 1 (just need to finish their trousers, boots and weapons)

The new scheme for my heavy weapons (lots of people werent to keen on the green)

Ive decided unit markings will just be painted on the backs of the bases, so they can't be seen when the army is ranked up for presentation, but can still be seen when gaming.

Also on another note, my girlfriend has started on her daemons and i thought i would post a picture of how she is getting on;

I'm rathe impressed, as this is only the third model she has painted!

All comments welcome and wanted :)

I agree with freebooter, liked the green on the ML. The infantry looks really good, colourful but not bright and shiny. Good luck and keep going.

Very nice mate. Quite liked the green, as it was an interesting little contrast, but the black and silver are equally as nice.

Are you signed up for the Ammoriss campaign yet mate? If not, team Imperium can be found here.
