Hehehe...ive worked i need to be doing around 20 men a week, but only if i'm wanting to make a display board for them as well. I think maybe i should included a model count for people...it's 137, so hopefully 7 weeks work (give or take a few months) .Also i should have some more pictures up tomorrow of current progress. Looking good so far. I can't wait to see this grow rapidly ![]() What range is the drummer with the kilt from? His hands don't look big enough to be GW. And green coats? They'd have to be a rifle company. Maybe make an army with sharpshooters to represent the better weapons. Hmm, off to dig out the old Sharpe books I think... |

Yay! time to put Zulu on again! where did the dude in the skirt (standby for retaliation in 5..4..3..2..1!) come from? and the horse guy as well for that matter. Always good to see a decent praetorian force take shape. Push on there fella! |

Thanks for the comments guys just the sort of inspiration i need. I thought i would point out that the picture of the army is how i'm thinking of having the display board, with the lascannons and mortars up on a low cliff, the command squad walking down a slope and the platoons holding the line with the conscripts charging through the middle and rough riders charging round a flank. Both the Highlander and Horseman are from the Perry Miniatures Sudan range, they are a bit taller, but its hard to see that when they are surrounded by the rest of the men. Also if/when i make the army bigger i'll be adding some Veterans in green jackets for the BS4, as i already have sharpshooters on the standard guys to represent volley fire, when i post more pics you will see in each normal squad the front 5 men are kneeling and firing and the rear 5 are standing and firing, apart from the sergeant, bugler and heavy weapon team. Very nice work on the kilt, it's come out brilliant! For the 'Zulu' Orks, are you planning on using Fantasy parts to give them a look more in tune with the source material? |

Well you could say I'm not the biggest fan of praetorians. Last board I was on was pretty much just praetorian fanboys who insisted on adding a tedious roleplay element to half their posts. Well within their rights I know but just a bit... bland to be constantly seeing only praetorians. Nice to see some here though! |

Oh my good sir? There is nothing like a smashing old time Victorian discourse. Why I believe we should make a spot of roleplay a requirement for a thoroughly enjoyable read such as this.
