Cheers Gallows, might work on another monster tonight, either that or more cleavage...

I reckon you'd be right, possibly a ruined temple overgrown with jungle foliage.

Looks like a Basilisk to me :)
Pain in the [arse]... The last time my DM sprung one on the party my cleric only survived by running like hell.

Tis a Basalisk Oz, though not the Harry Potter version, nor the 40K one, though if you lift it's tail and squeeze pretty hard you might be ablt to get it to indirect fire..... :D

That's not a bad tactic Benny, but doesn't gain you much in the way of XP. Those type of creatures are buggers, no matter how good your Saving Throws are, you're bound to fail one sooner or later and get turned to stone.
Chew me HP's, no worries plenty more where that came from, turn me to stone though, damn!

ah, a basilisk... like i said, im no fantasy expert. all i know is it looks good, and apparently turns yuo to stone. wasnt there some kind of snake-haired lady that did that? Medusa was it?

Sorry, should have elaborated a little more in my last post, obviously the Basalisk is an 8 legged lizard that turns adventurers to stone with it's gaze, yup, the same way the Medusa does, but without the snakes and cleavage.
Not sure which Mythology the idea was stolen from for the Bassy.

You are all dirty old men... Sounds like some of you need to get laid to relieve this whole twisted sexual tension thing you guys have going... ;)

And I thought running was the best option, the meat shield got stoned straight up followed by the party rogue and sorceror. Sanctuary and a potion of haste struck me as the best option. Chaotic Good all the way :)

You are all dirty old men...
I wear that with pride! ;)

So if your party was all stoned, and you took a Hasted Sanctuary trip, how did it end up? Did you just find some new companions or heroically sneak back in with a Stone to Flesh scroll tucked away?
