It just seems kind of seperate from the heresy itself. Maybe the story of Caliban was worthy of it's own set of books but just cause it happened at the same time as the Heresy doesn't connect it IMO. It'd be nice to have a HH book with Horus in soon to be honest.

I'd like to know exactly how mad Roboutte was when Horus sent him across the galaxy on a wild goose chase.

erm... dan abnett has done tons of non warhammer 40k stuff, take for example the 2 torchwood books and a doctor who book he did, on top of a load of comic book stuff he has done.

EDIT: a handy amazon list of his books to prove it, some of them look quite good actually. http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/search-handle-url?_encoding=UTF8&search-type=ss&index=books-uk&field-author=Dan%20Abnett

Yes, but didn't the author do battle for the abyss? I struggled with that one :S

Edit: No he did Flight of the Eisenstein. A much better read!

battle for the abyss was Ben Counter I think.

thanks for helping me out there Dave :)

if she is the focus of the story, then it will quite possibly be a good read, as i quite enjoyed the Inquisition War trilogy, which had a female assassin in a central role :)

AR - i thought the opposite to you about the DA books - Fallen Angels just didnt seem to be going anywhere for me, yet the first one just seemed to work. not a masterpiece, but not the pile of crap that a lot of people make it out to be :)

Well apparantly James Swallow will fight anyone who wants to do a BA novel for the HH, so chances are once Nemesis is over and done with, he may (fingers crossed), get the go ahead to begin it...

Entertainment officer...Meet the gang cos the boys are here.....
there is much goodness on the way and the quality of book covers is on the rise methinks
http://www.blacklibrary.com/releases.php

add to the above the Shira calpurnia omnibus (summer 2010) which I am really looking forward to.

as for master Abnets Triumff. excellent read. had me in fits of giggles that earned me some strange looks in Belfast airport. Its worthy of a reread as you wont get all the jokes in one sitting and some will escape the attention of the very young or narrow of interest.

thats a good list to have :)
i think i'll be trying to get hold of a few of them as they come out. paperback Titanicus and Bloodborn the most likely. i dont see why they are re-releasing the inquisition war omnibus though
