cheers for the comments The bloo horde is in full flow at the minute, not much to paint (100 models inc truck, dread, kans, endless pile of boyz etc )Crassius my Kreigers are going on Ebay as I've lost interest in them, I cant paint well enough to justify having them sit around half finished. Also in todays economic climate I have to sell to buy (Mrs Gonzo spent £145 on 1 pair of boots the other day, a pair of shoes that cost more than the brakes on my car and she wants a £500 treadmill cos she is "fat". I have pointed her to the FW catalogue but they don't have shoes or treadmills in her colours )Thanks again to everyone that has stopped by, I'll put up a quick tutorial on how I paint my 30 minute Orks at a later date until then stay classy San Deigo. |

oh dear gonzo moves away from the tracky goodness of the krieg towards the green tide, shame on you as for the treadmill, don't bother get a cross trainer, much better for you and much more fun to watch if you have low ceilings ps if all the krieg are going does that include the stormblade (i'm sure you made one), could be quite tempted |

Right lads, I iz done fur da munf: Big Mek Grusnik with eavy armour and iz "whirly bubble shield" generator: (90pts) ![]() Da Nob retinue, 11 Nobz with eavy armour and stick bombz: (286pts) ![]() so total = 376 codex points. The reason I haven't painted much this month (no not beer crassius!) ![]() My bloody youngest has a knack of rotating my monitor, magic little monkey!! ![]() PABLO the hamster, he is awesome ![]() CHAD the hamster, he is a bellend ![]() watercress egg heads, do I get extra points for being a great dad??? ![]() Hairy watercress egg heads. they were yum after their haircut!!! ![]() I made 4 of these, made the dough from scratch too, did I tell you I'm a great dad???? ![]() Got one of these from Maplins (cheers" the antipope "). Is a lot better than some paper taped to a wall, might bring it to the bash for Rictus to take photos of armies for the folder of members work...... ![]() and I might be doing something different next month: ![]() My FW hellhound in brake fluid, I now have airbrush so maximum camo attack is on the horizon, I'll go say hi in the IG thread now!!! Update copied in Ammoriss Log too, as I'm a lazy MOFO!!!! |

LMFAO at Chad the bellend hamster!! And that pizza is making me seriously hungry! ![]() As for the Orkses, tis good to see them on the go again. I love the orky paintjobs on the Kans, Koptas and bikes. Have you stopped doing the half-blue faces, or is that just for the normal boyz? |

@ wiganultra - Chad is a mentalist, he jumps from your hands at waist height and has a habbit of opening the many bits of his cage in order to escape. Pablo is awesome, real friendly takes chocolate drops from your hands, doesn't try to escape and doesn't bite. My dog still wants to eat them both ![]() I thought about doing the bloo facepaint on these nobs but ran out of time in Feb. I have to paint one bloo as 11nobz isn't a game legal unit, he will join the previous painted nobz as the warbosses retinue. on a side note I now have 3 troop choices for my army, not bad considering it works out as 31 models worth of troops in a horde army so far: warboss and nob retinue bigmek 10 Nobz (troops) 20 boyz (troops) 1 deffdread (troops) 4 kans 3 deffcoptas 6 warbikes currently on the batch-painting table this month are the last 9 deffcoptas and 40boyz, gulp. Need to get through these as it's now 5 days to S-day |

good looking collection of orkses though i don't believe the lack of booze is an issue (though i have spent the weekend consuming my on bodyweight of lager) and the old rotating monitor trick is a great one at work to wind people up shame to see the hellhound being stripped but i'm sure it will look great once its painted up |

Tiny update from me to prove I'm not dead yet. Done more on the 'coptas, all reds and bloo done, started 3/9 skin and cloth, just the other 6/9 to finish then washes and final highlight. ![]() I've spanked my paypal account recently, new airbrush, new minis, new paint stand and tool tidy (thanks captain wolverine). I'm most excited by the new minis, as I'm going IG again, will try to start a new plog once this one is complete. Just waiting for a load of paints and pigments to rock up along with some bits from maximini to compliment my pig iron heads. ![]() As some of you know I'm a fat techie in the RAF and this week has been full of good news. On a personal note I am now almost a complete person instead of being a cripple tm . I managed to pass my fitness test this week after being in and out of hospital for the last 5 years due to a sporting injury. I'm now regraded as a "normal" person. Daft thing is due to the ammount of physical training I've been doing for the last 5 months I'm now one of the fittest people in my section. Kind of wierd as this time last year I could barely walk, in one months time last year I was up to my knee in plaster with pins , screws and mechano tm in my leg. With all the luck in the world I'll be running in a charity 10km run in London during June, making the whole road to recovery cycle complete.. It's been a long road and this site has helped through the low times (the many low times over the last couple of years). I've now got 2 weeks of physio before I can play footy, 15 months since I last kicked a ball in anger ( on my left foot) a major milestone. Good times people, good times. Thanks Ammobunker, old warseer compatiots!!!!! ![]() Sorry for the ramble, have had a few celebration beers tonight, I deserve it. Gonzo away!!!! |

Ooooh, Stompa... 'koptas are looking mightily impressive. Congrats on becoming a normal person again. Funnily enough after knackering up my ankle (year not playing football or even walking properly, needed an op to get it right again) i ended up doing a 10km charity run as well. Though it was more of a 10km charity stroll than run. I happily raised money but bollocks was I going to kill myself on the day... If you do the run send us the sposorship form (or link to an online one) and i'll stick down a couple of quid...I know, I know, I can't help it, i'm just naturally generous. |

I've had 2 major ops so far, and I've still got some cartilage damage to be "cleaned up" later this year.... ![]() I'm on the road to completion, they guy I run with at training runs 10km in a sub 37.5 min time, I did it on tuesday at 46mins, good for me but not good enough, must try harder. being less able is majorly [Not on the floor please]. I hope not to be like this again. EVER. |

Sweet work fella, been giving the Exec banter this week for failing his fitness test. Good to have you back in the groove, liking the increase in the workload and the Orks, and looking forward to the Guard, sure you have some nice ideas on the way. Best of luck for the charity run, I need an excuse like that to keep me going to the gym |

Trust me it is, the whole point of them is to difuse light hiting the object, hence the material sides that light can travel through. You are really meant to have a light at either side and one at the top. Wouldn't work so well with an open top would it? Just google "Light Box" and you'll see what I mean. You also wont get a smooth background with it set up that way, the material should curve so it looks like one solid background. Edited by Tinners, 7 Mar 2009, 05:52 PM.
