The intense light burned through HIS eyelids. Instinct drove HIM to wake from HIS dream. Long yellow tallons ripped through the soft skin of the birth-spore. HIS dream had ended. Blinking as HIS eyes adjusted to their new task, HE moved his head and took in the surroundings. Stretched as far HE could see, uncountable birth-spores blossmed with new life. HE didn't know why but he smiled. A new sound grabbed HIS attention: loud voices, heavy footsteps, screaming and the boom of a sound HE knew even though HE had never heard it before. HIS eyes focused on 6 hulking shapes lumbering from one birth-spore to another, at each stop HE heard the boom, then the figures moved on. HE sat and smiled as the group apprached HIM. " 'er is anotha one Boss" bellowed a dark green giant. "dis one finks it is funny, is a joka!". The rest of the group gathered around HIM, HE lazily cast HIS gaze accross them, all dark skinned except one who's face was hidden behind a veiled hood. "what shall we do with dis one Boss?" asked the first giant, bowing in deference before shuffling back from a hulking monster. "He is a good size, we keep 'im to fight wth da boys, Gritsnik, pick 'im up and stick 'im in da trukk" Growled Boss Tankred IronMaw. HE was hungry. "WAAARRRRRGGGGGGHHHHH" Gritsnik howled as steaming jets of fresh blood pumped from the ruined stump of his arm "shoot 'im, SHOOT 'im!" he cried. The rest of the group drew their crude weapons and took aim. HE continued to smile at them with the ruin of Gritsniks' arm poking out the corner of his mouth. He began chewing. "Stop this" cried the hooded figure as it slowly approached HIM. HE watched as all the giants knelt before the hodded figure, Tankred IronMaw was the last to do so. "Wot iz it Shaman?" Slowly the shaman removed his hood, blood dripped from his eyes and nose, landing at HIS feet. HE could smell the raw purity of the Shamans blood. It excited HIM. "He is da one, da one to lead us to the stars. He is da VISUN, da Future!" the Shaman sank to his knees and cried great tears of blood onto HIS feet. HE smiled. "OK, lets get Gritsnik back to da Doc an' get 'im fixed up. Shaman you 'ad better be right" quizzed Tankred IronMaw. "When wuz I evva wrong boss?" replied the shaman as HE finished the last of the arm. Right, since I failed with my Cadians, my pointy eared gay log died a death (goodbye BOB eldar), I grew tired of my Ultramarines and my krieg are in a box laughing at me I thought I'd try something different for Ammoriss. My second stab at Xenos, ORKSES! Nothing much to show just now, I have bought Assault on Black Reach and am in the middle of sticking all the Ork goodness together. Hopefully I'll stick with this one!  The plan is to start small and have a decent sized force for the next bash. Maybe some supprises along the way! Gonzo. P.S. If anyone wants to swap AoBR Orks of theirs for My AoBR Marines give me a PM, I have a Bitz Hunter post going...... |

SC - the subtitle, as always with me, is firmly tounge in cheek. God if I do finish these guys I may just retire to a small island in the bahamas as my lifes goal will be achieved! Scratchbuilding is on the cards, I have a couple of ideas cooking away but I want to get the meat of the army done and dusted first...... Scrubout - My Orkses might end up as deathskulls crossed with the Kult of speed. DS's for the dreads/boys/blue faces (I am a Glasgow Rangers FC fans, blue is awesome!) and KoS as I'd like loads of bikes, trukks and a few aircraft  Edit: just noticed, 1000 posts, thats good for me, from an interest level point of view, I've been a Lurker/member of the other site for about 3 years and only posted 70 times.....cheers AB, heres to another year and 1000 posts from me! 28 years had passed and the world finally knew his name. Wazbag Nazzod Gutshak had steadily risen through the ranks of his tribe. Those he could not subdue in the fighting pits he simply ate. In his short life Wazbag had unified all the tribes he had encountered. He was living his dream, his destiny. But it was not enough. To the south Wazbag had fought a fierce war with red cloaked "hummies". They had inflicted tremendous losses onto his tribe through their startling use of technology. Battle by battle they had been driven back, each step Wazbag's Mek's garnered new understandings of technology. He had lost his sight in one eye and the use of an arm to these "hummies". The Doc had fixed Wazbag up good and proppa for the last big push. Wazbag could sense victory and the taste of fear and death excited him. The last "hummie" fort had fallen with Wazbags expectedly high casualty rate. He had lost some good boys, Gork and Mork would be proud. Wazbag sat on a great Iron throne in the centre of the "hummie" command post, all around the room his Mek's scuttled about, poking and prodding the forbidding human technology. Grubsnik, the big Mek, had wrenched a control console from the wall and was frantically wiring it up to his back monted power source. With a scream of energy and a blinding flash of light a holo-map globe appeared in the air, Wazbag was transfixed. Grubsnik walked over to the globe and pointed "'er Boss, dis is where we is" the globe zoomed in to show the ruin of the fort, smoke billowing from the many blast holes like blood from a wound. "Dat is very good Grub, but I iz done heres. I need a new fight." Wazbag rose from the throne as the holo-map zoomed out to show a never ending ball of tiny white dots. "I wants to go der." As Wazbag pointed the holo-map the map zoomed in to show a different globe to the previous one. One word poped up . It was in Imperial High Gothic, illegible to the surrounding Orks. Ammoriss. Behind Wazbag the hooded Shaman smiled in the shadows, a tiny drop of blood fell from his nose. Only he knew the Waaagghh had begun. This back water planet was but a mountain stream compared to the raging torrent of blood Wazbag would unleash on the universe. "Da Visun, da Future is 'ere" whispered the Shaman, wiping the remainded of blood from his face. Well I thought I'd get some more work done tonight on my Boys but this had other ideas:  Baby Gonzo is teething and decided to have a 30 min power nap, just enough time for me to get ready to paint. Then the darling little cherub decides to stay up and play for 3 hours. All the while Mrs Gonzo is out working. The joy of being a dad. I did make a start on more stuff though:       Obviously PIP and the wash is still wet. I'm going for fully painted minis over Golden Deamon entries so they will look rough as heel but when there are over 100 of the buggers on the table will you notice? You'll certainly notice the dice rolled in close combat I'll wager! Enough from me, here is the other reason why I haven't done much:  After 4 burgers and 5 cans of Fosters "I'm Lovin it!". Nite nite. |

Well Da Bigger Boss is done! Wazbag and the first 3 Nobz are done, I just need to decide on bases, what colour ground at Ammoriss???? Hmmmmm....      More to follow, tomorrow its the rest of Da Nobz and some Boyz to get glued, Deff Coptas when all the grunts are done as a treat! C&C welcome, base colour ideas welcome too! |

I have a countdown word for you SC: K C C O feel free to work this one out! I am currently skimming ebay for more plastc orkses, just won AoBR 20x boyz and 6x nobz for £14, is nice! Codex turned up today, so once I'm done on the 'bay I'll wok out points for ORKtober! Lootin wise I have a baneblade chassis or two sitting, and FW bombaz are looking tasty! Gonzo

Well den ladz, I is finally done da bases on da nobz and Da BigBoss.    I have also glued and undercoated all the AoBR Orkses. I went a wee bit ebay mad and have won a load more orkses, I am trying to keep it all plastic, thus keeping the price down. So far I ahve won another 60 Boyz, 11 Nobz, 6 deff coptas and 5 lootaz. I'm looking at a few bikes, deef dreads and kans too, all to come in da future!  All this and I have a baneblade sitting collecting "half finished state" dust. C&C welcome, 400pts is my Ammoriss target this month! |
