So what’s this all about?
Well this has its roots in last years Ammobunker Bash. After the success of that event thoughts rather obviously turned to; what next? The what next were the ideas for GamesDay 08 and putting the Ammobunker on the map. This in turn led to some of us getting a little over exited at the idea of an Apocalypse game with 40K scale Aeronautica Imperialis thrown in. So was born the Double Eagle thread and the concept of 40K Combined Arms, ground and air operations in one event!

As Gamesday approaches and the plans are now concrete, its time to start looking beyond.
Double Eagle has evolved somewhat. Since the Ammobunker has over 500 members who play all the ‘flavours’ of the game and are spread across the world, the Double Eagle concept of Imperium versus Chaos did not sit well with the idea of everyone having the opportunity to be involved. So we have laid claim to our very own planet!
Welcome to Ammoriss our own little corner of the galaxy where we can beat the living daylights out of each other to our hearts content.
It was important to us to involve our non UK based members and so the idea of a campaign has come about. The history of Ammoriss is developed and the scene is set to justify the presence of all the races in the 40K universe and since we have looked at the whole Ammoriss system not just the planet itself, other linked games systems can be used in addition to 40K and Apocalypse. Battle Fleet Gothic, Epic, Aeronautica Imperialis, Inquisitor, and the 40K scale derivative that appears to be popular in some quarters. Even games of Necromunda could be involved.
Now, while we said that the history of Ammoriss is set, the same cannot be said of its future and this is really where the campaign comes into its own.
Your battles will influence how that history develops and ultimately the scenario for the Apocalypse size 40KCombined Arms battle at the Ammobunker 2009 ‘Bash’.
You may have battles between fellow Ammobunker members or between yourself and non members if there are none nearby. We don’t mind! The more the merrier (and of course they can also join if they want). All we ask is that you produce a battle report and a few pictures of your game and post it in the battle reports section of the forum. We’ll provide you with the scenarios, you provide us a story that we can develop to feed you more scenarios and so on and so forth until the ‘Biggie’, the time of reckoning!
Posted Image
Obviously we would like to see as many of you there as possible. But if you can’t then we hope that you can feel a degree of satisfaction in influencing the fate of the Ammoriss system.
Gentlemen!.....Ladies. To battle!

A number of you made suggestions on the Double Eagle thread, these have not been ignored and a number of them will feature in what is to come.
We want to involve as many of you as possible in both the gaming but also in how this develops. Gaming for the people by the people! Details on how you can help will follow soon. In the meantime and to wet your appetite check out the heinous double post that will follow shortly and the next Newsletter (it's closer than you know)

A brief histoty

Records on the planet Ammoriss date back to the great crusade though information is limited. What is available suggests a history which pre-dates the imperium of man. Evidence of ancient artefacts of Eldar and other origin were found when the planet was first colonised, these have largely been destroyed over the millennia and information suppressed from the planets population which numbers some 26 billion (data imperial census 306 M41) The north is significantly more heavily populated than the south, the larger hives being found in the north. The south has only the one hive worthy of the name (Pierefoy named after the founding and most influential land owning family) which flourishes due to its trade in agricultural produce, cattle and fishery.

The planet is a world of halves; approximately one half sea, one half land. The planetary economy is divided on roughly equal terms industrial and agricultural from a financial perspective, though agriculture and fishery occupy three quarters of the planets surface area. Planetary population and society is equally divided between the more affluent industrialised North and the sparse rural communities of the South,

Planetary governship is an unusual, complicated and highly confrontational affair. The planet can essentially be considered to have 2 quite separate governments. The northern territories operate a system which follows the Imperial pattern almost to the letter, however the Southern one is centred around leadership from the largest land owners and is almost feudal. The governing bodies only come together and share resources for such items as defence, policing and energy, though disputes are common over financing of these issues and regional contribution towards payment of Imperial tithes. Such disputes have in the past lead to sanction from senior members of the Administratum.

Given the geography of the planet with no land masses greater than 2000 Km (imperial) wide in any given direction, air and sea transport is widespread with air increasingly becoming the most efficient form. The skies of Ammoriss are exceptionally busy and require vast resources to maintain efficiency and prevent accidents. This can be viewed as a potential strategic weakness.
The planetary defence force is more sophisticated than most since it is heavily reliant on air and sea power and consequently requires significant training. The PDF can deploy rapidly across the planet either by air transport with a fighter and ground attack escort or on sea in vast sea skimming craft to transport heavy armour escorted by fast heavily armoured escorts. PDF bases are spread across the planet, largely centred on the major Hives, consequently the northern force is larger and consists of the more technologically demanding forces while the Southern forces are mainly infantry and cavalry based.

Situation:
There is and has always been a heavy Adeptus Mechanicus presence on Ammoriss, the northern territory is heavily mined, from which is extracted one of the minerals required for the production of Adamantium destined for the major forge worlds for the production of many of the Imperiums war machines. As is their habit information on the nature of this mineral is suppressed by the Mechanicum.
Covert investigation by inquisitor Bernado Guy has found that none of the ore extracted by mining population ever reaches the forge worlds and is in fact dumped in space at the edge of the Ammoriss system forming an asteroid belt which is increasingly growing denser and has a significant effect on interstellar travel.
In recent years the Mechanicum presence on the planet has increased. This followed a significant accident in one of the mines which resulted in its near destruction and the loss of a huge amount of lives. Information on the accident is highly restricted, attempts at acquisition of this information has resulted in the deaths of a number of agents and is now a top priority of the Inquisition. Curiously despite widespread and detailed survey early in its history Mechanicus survey teams have been venturing south despite the total lack of minerals of interest. This has not gone unnoticed by the ruling classes of the South though early forceful protest appears to be dying down.
A number of strange incidents have been reported in the South, however these have largely been suppressed helped in no small measure by their happening in an area populated by an unusual cult of the Emperor, may his reign be eternal, which rejects technology and favours the simple life tending the land and giving praise to him on earth. The presence of the Mechanicum has not been welcome and there has been unrest requiring the presence of the planets arbitrators in an area almost unknown to them due to its general lack of trouble. Nonetheless unconfirmed reports have spread over the disappearance of individuals and in a couple of instances whole homesteads. The latter has flatly been rejected by the governing powers and demands for investigation by the inquisition denied on the grounds of hysteria on the part of those requesting it . Accusations have been targeted at the Mechanicum with regards to the disappearances aggravating the situation in the South. The planetary governments deployed as a precaution, two regiments of the PDF garrisoned in the south under the pretext of a military exercise but with orders to deal with any unrest.
The two regiments appear to have been annihilated to a man by a force of what very confused reports suggest is from one of the traitor legions though this is unconfirmed and highly unlikely, the identity of the perpetrators of this outrage have yet to be confirmed. There is however clear evidence of a significant chaos cult and it is believed that they rather than one of the accursed legions is responsible. Irrespective of the source of the threat it has nonetheless prompted widespread panic and as further forces of the PDF have been deployed South to counter the threat vast numbers of civilians are fleeing north to escape.
The supposed Dark forces have increased activity significantly and rapidly reports suggest that the southern hive has been attacked and is on the brink of being overcome. These reports suggest again the presence of dreaded traitor marines in the force but also large human forces worshiping the dark gods, of note one force referred to as the ‘Congregation for the doctrine of the unfaith’ have been active. Human waves have assaulted the hive, so called ‘levellers’, poorly armed and seemingly successful only due to a fanatical fervour and shear weight of numbers. Intelligence reports have suggested that these Levellers are in fact Ammoriss natives, former followers of the previously mentioned Imperial cult. This has been countered by claims from the Ecclesiarchy that the cult followers have been massacred and that the levellers have looted what little possessions they had. This has been supported by claims of sightings of units of ‘dead’ PDF troops fighting along side the traitor forces though these have been ridiculed.

Contact has been lost with a number of the AM survey teams deployed to the South though clandestine flights from the northern Mechanicum headquarters have continued; long range and satellite based auspex suggest vast energy readings blanketing numerous land and sea masses in the southern hemisphere with an electronic fog. Human intelligence reports indicate an actual dense fog over these areas with regular flashes of light from within the depths.
Monitoring of Mechanicus communications has revealed nothing given the inability to break their codes, however other transmissions have been gathered and suggest an increasingly confusing picture which has included the loss of several ships beyond Xerxes, long range scans suggest that at least 2 out of the 5 missing vessels are adrift at the edge of the asteroid belt. Anomalous energy readings have been detected across the Ammoriss system suggesting translations from the immaterium, this is of course impossible as transit from the warp so close to a planetary system is disastrous.
At the time of communicating this report the situation on Ammoriss is rapidly deteriorating. The Mechanicum does not appear concerned beyond the effect upon its schedules of activity.
The governing parties are unusually as one in their concern over the recent activities. Official pleas for external assistance have met a ferroconcrete wall from the Mechanicum has have requests for inquisitorial investigation and this report has been compiled only as a result of clandestine talks between agents of the Governments and the Ordo Malleus.

I think the DE should be involved for a very simple reason... revenge. Someone did them wrong or double crossed them in the past, and now they want payback.

For example, for some reson the Ad mech started their traitorous dealings with a DE Kabal, before the Craftworlders got involved and lured the Ad Mech to them.

Now, the DE want to teach those upstart CW and AD Mech the error of their ways.

Orks... hmmm.

Orks are notorious mercenaries. Perhaps that can be weaved in here somewhere. They may start as a mercenary faction for one group, but who knows where that will lead them. Once Orks get on planet, they can be very unpredictable.

Indeed!!!!! :) We have a home!

Thanks for the comments so far, I am glad that this little idea has wet your appetite. So now that we are here we can start to take this further.
You will notice that we have in fact 2 new items that will help with the process.

1- the battle report section which is attached here. Just to emphasise this is for all your battle reports whether they are related to Ammoriss or not. - can I suugest that any Ammoriss battles mention it in the title.

2 - the brainchild of the mighty Captain Wolverine (and a damn fine idea it is too) a gaming network section to help you all find each other so that you may battle and indeed socialise and swap ideas etc...

As I believe I have mentioned this is a project for the people by the people! I have received a couple of PM's already asking for more information and indeed volunteering their services. GRrrrrrreeaat (breakfast serial optional) this is exactly what we want.

we want your suggestions. So shortly i will transfer accross the questions posed and we can then start to answer these.

See you soon

Well here's my Fluff to tie in my DA and DK ,I didnt write it all the credit for it has to go to Dog house for his sterling work ,I gave him the basic ideas and he came up with this ;)

The Ammoriss Campaign

Under any other circumstances the two men might have been seen as adversaries given their conflicting ideals and faiths.
The Death Korps Colonel represented the very pinnacle of regimental discipline, a staunch believer in the Imperial Cult and worshipper of the deified God Emperor of mankind.
The towering Astartes on the other hand was a weapon forged by war, a genetically enhanced being that many would say surpassed humanity and accepting the Emperor as solely as their creator and father to their beloved Primarch El’Jonson.
Colonel Draeta was the first to break protocol, shaking the giant’s armoured hand as he greeted his old friend.

“It’s been too long Nathaniel,” He said with a candour that few mortal men would dare in the imposing presence of a Captain of the Dark Angels Chpater of the Adeptus Astartes “it’s good to see you old friend.”

“That it is Marik, but I wish that it was only under better circumstances.” Captain Nathaniel Mathius, master of the third company, replied solemnly as he pulled the ornate chain out from around his neck, on it hung a small insignificant looking medallion, little more than a rather plain and worn looking metal disc but it carried with it more weight than any words could convey. The Colonel paused before producing a similar one from around his own neck, he looked at it briefly as it dangled before him. His head hung low he closed his eyes as though in silent prayer.

“Is it him?” The Colonel replied hesitantly.

“Early reports from our scouts indicate that the methods used in the attacks match his modus operandi, I have little reason to doubt otherwise.”

“Imperator damn his soul…” Draeta muttered to himself as he recalled the bloodshed and the betrayal of the events some fourty odd years previously, a lifetime ago, a lifetime that he rather forget. The Death Korp were legendary in their willingness to sacrifce their lives in the name of Him on Terra, but those things, those terrible and wanton creatures had displayed such cruelty and sickening destruction that was enough to test even his faith. “Where?”

“The Ammoriss system, forces of the Adeptus Mechanicus are present throughout so we will be hard pressed to kept our task secret. Master Azrael has decreed a Crusade, our forces will be significant brother.”

Draeta sat down heavily in his chair, burdened by the weight of decades of tormented recurring nightmares of the events of that day long since passed “You can add to that the support of the 66th Siege Regiment old friend, we will be ready to leave within the week.”

951.M40: The Fall of Hagenti Primus

The rebellion of Hagenti Primus had sent the planet into anarchy in but a single night of bloodshed and wanton destruction. What had first appeared to be a minor space port worker dispute was soon revealed to be a full cultist revolt that had infiltrated the highest ranks of the PDF and ruling nobility. Faced with millions of armed cultists the Adeptus Arbite forces fought valiantly to maintain order before being completely overwhelmed by sheer weight of numbers.
By the time the first elements of the 66th Siege Regiment of the Death Korps of Krieg had established their beachhead the cultists had dug in and heavily fortified their position awaiting the inevitable Imperial retaliation.

Wrath of Angels

It had become evident to the commanders of the 66th Regiment that this was no ordinary revolt. Whilst the PDF forces were competent soldiers they lacked the co-ordination and sheer martial prowess of the Krieg soldiers yet were holding their own.
Vicious warp storms were hindering the re-supply of the Imperial forces and their siege guns were running seriously low on ammunition despite attempts to seize local production facilities.
By chance a small support vessel of the Dark Angels Chapter had received transmissions from the planet and had altered its course to the planet. Reluctantly the Death Korp commanders accepted the offer of assistance from the Dark Angles under advisement of the regiments Commissar advisors.
This was, however, not a Strike Cruiser. The vessel bore only a small contingent of three Scout squads and it was decided that they would strike at the very heart of the enemy command centred around the ruins to the north of the planet’s capitol city.
Deploying in drop pods the strike force landed off course and linked up with several squads of the 66th regiment that had become separated from the main body of the battle force.

The Conclave of the Fallen

Although the battle through the streets of the northern reaches of the city had been met by wave after wave of cultists the strike force had made it to their objective with very few casualties. Fighting with vigour and disciple the Scouts had made short work of the rebel’s frenzied attacks.
It wasn’t until they reached their destination that the true nature of their adversaries became apparent. The streets were lined with the dead, ritually lain out ten deep in some archaic and unholy pattern that formed walls of bloodied and desecrated flesh.
A chilling sight that tested the resolve of even the battle hardened squad sergeants. This as not the work of simple cultists, the foul stench of Chaos hung in the air as small winged creatures fluttered between the mounds like carrion.
Hagenti had become the site of gathering of the Fallen, a unified alliance known only as the Conclave among the cultist troops.
The Scouts wasted no time in launching their attack as the twenty black armoured traitors performed their dark and terrible rituals that would bind their pact.
The battle was brief, the Death Korps wiped out but for a single trooper in a hail of concentrated bolter and warp fire.
Clearly outnumbered the Scouts prepared to sell their lives dearly, only Brother Sergeant Mathius had been inducted to the Inner Circle of the Dark Angels and only he knew the true nature of their enemy.
As their bolters ran dry the Dark Angels, slaughtering the ranks of cultists that sought to prevent the Imperials from harming their masters drew their combat blades.
Separated by the mass of wailing fanatics, Mathius lost sight of his brothers. By the time he reached the centre of the battle he caught sight of Brother Sergeant Ecanus facing a lone Fallen Astartes.
There was no doubt to the skill of Ecanus as he dodged and weaved, pressing home the advantage of agility that was allowed by his lighter carapace armour but ultimately his efforts were futile.
The Traitor had millennia of experience from a time when the Emperor walked amongst mortal men, the outcome of the melee was onesided and inevitable.
His blade dislodged from his hand Mathius lashed out with fist and elbow, each blow ending the life of a cultist as he fought to be by his brother’s side through the mass of wailing cultists that sought to bring him down with sheer weight of numbers.
He looked on in horror as the traitor smashed Ecanus to the floor with the pommel of his arcane sword, towering over the broken sergeant the Traitor paused for what seemed like a lifetime. Mathius stared in disbelief as the Fallen held out his hand to Ecanus as the clamour of battle died, the cultists silenced by sheer brute force.
A portal erupted in the centre of the ruin, without hesitation the Fallen marines fled one by one into the vortex, dispersed throughout the material universe.
Mathius stumbled and slid as he desperately tried to make his way to aid his brother, his footing unsteadied by the broken corpses under his feet. The last of the Fallen turned and walked into the warp gate leaving the Scouts alone amongst the carnage. A single scout made it to Ecanus’ side and struggled to help him to his feet, Mathius’ heart sank as Ecanus turned and without hesitation fired a single round from his bolt pistol into the face of the young Astartes warrior. He turned to face Mathius, even from this distance he could see the darkness and hatred in Ecanus’ eyes before he turned and ran into the swirling vortex scant seconds before it closed into a single pinprick of light and vanished.

The Brotherhood of Hagenti

Of the Astartes that started the mission only Brother Sergeant Nathaiel Mathius, Brother Sergeant Conrad Enoch and six other Scouts had survived. Of the Death Korp squads that had accompanied their assault only a lone soldier, Trooper Malik Draeta, remained.
As the piles of bodies were set alight by Kreig flamer teams the remaining brothers swore an oath to avenge their brothers and bring those responsible to justice. Each was given a single unmarked disc that signified their allegiance and bonded them together as a brotherhood of equals regardless of rank.

The Return of Ecanus

It has been over fourty years since the brotherhood had been formed and in a galaxy dominated by war there is little chance for servants of the Imperium to pursue personal vendettas.
Every minor scrap of information was passed between the brothers in secrecy, every detail catalogued as they went about their duties.
Mathius and Enoch had both risen through the ranks to command the third and tenth companies of the Dark Angels respectively and although their brotherhood had suffered further casualties their battle brothers had proven themselves time and time again rising to minor ranks within the Chapter.
Draeta had become a Colonel of the sixth company of the sixty sixth Krieg Seige company. A number too often associated with misfortune with the ranks of the fanatical Death Korps, Daeta had strived to turn the mocking title of the “triple sixes” into a by word for courage and determination.
Word has reached Mathius of the location of a conflict in the Ammoriss system, raids conducted on Imperial shipping lanes that match the cunning and guile of his former comrade and brother Ecanus.
As the Dark Angel Chapter mobilises to meet the threat of one of their Fallen brothers the Brotherhood gathers once more in secrecy. Ecanus must not be allowed to escape a second time, they will remove the stain on their honour and avenge their fallen comrades.

Well, i might aswell show my fluff so far, including the ideas that me a Maelstrom have talked about.

Introduction (Note: Before i begin, Maelstrom, when he does his part of the fluff, wil bulk out the Word Beaers fluff for the Campaign).

The forces of Chaos have always had their greedy eyes on the world of Ammoriss. Mines to fuel the Dark Mechanicus' forges, plenty of civillians to sacrifice to the dark gods, and... blood to be spilt in the name of the Blood God! But, the purpose of Ammoriss wasn't for the Blood God, but for the Prince of Pleasure himself, Slaanesh.

The Dark Apostle Agamoth has led his forces on 3 Dark Crusades in the name of the Gods. One for Khorne, one for Tzeench, and one for Nurgle. All he needs now is the favour of Slaanesh to complete his path to Daemonhood. But as always, the last push is the hardest.

Ammoriss is a well protected world, with its own air fleet to protect it and plenty of men to defend her cities. Plenty of defenses and capable of holding their own in a fight. The forces of Dark Apostle Agamoth, even though they number greatly with tratiors, heretics and daemons aplenty, did not have the firepower to knock down the well protected cities of Ammoriss. So he had to call on an old 'friend' one last time.

Zarkisz hated Agamoth. He had fought with him before during the Crusade of Blood, Agamoths' crusade in the name of the Blood God against the world of Tarkis V. During the Battle of Gravlar Hive, Agamoth took out all the Govenors and Lords of Tarkis in one fell swoop with his Terminator bodyguard, destroying the heart of the Imperial Defense. As Agamoth did this, he left Zarkisz to take all the casulties as his warriors were being pinned down in their trenchs by massed firepower, taking all the attention awy from Agamoth. Even though Zarkisz agreed to stay back and hold (due to his arragonce thinking that he could beat the PDF force with just his army) he still felt hatred against Agamoth for 'leaving' him. he swore to never again fight under the leadership of Agamoth.

But, Chaos is fickle.

When Agamoth called on Zarkisz with the promise of minerals and metal to fuel the forges on his Battle Cruiser 'Cold Steel', he just couldn't resist. And Agamoth had all the big guns he needed.

And they planned...

The Plan

Agamoth and Zarkisz together were both seasoned generals, so they conducted a plan that was simple in words, but hard to execute. 'Cut off the Head, and the Body will Fall'. Agamoth had already planned for Ammoriss to be the 'final stage' for his rise in the ranks of Daemonhood, so he had some old allies 'look after' Ammoriss while he was away fighting his crusades for the other Gods. And he had the Alpha Legion do this.

The Alpha Legion had been in the Astroid field near Ammoriss for 3 years now, plenty of time for these excellent infiltrators to take in as much information as they could about the planet. After pretneding to be loyalist marines on the planet, they gathered that the planet was 'fractured' between north and South, 2 different governnments, 2 different targets. The South was reported to be weaker, so Agamoth decided to strike there first. He and any renegades willing would strike the main Hive in the South, and burn it down. He also had some unexpected allies join the fight too.

The Jade Necromancers, a previously unkown renegade force had come to join the fight too. They said that they would raise the dead to fight for them. Agamoth and Zarkisz laughed at the fools' incompitence. Surely, these 'new' renegades did not have the power to raise the dead. The Sorcerer smirked, confident that the spell would work. So, they trusted him, and turned to the next plan.

The PDF forces from the North would surely come down and assault the forces of Chaos to act as reinforcements. So, Zarkisz and the Alpha legion set up an ambush, full of big guns popping out of the ground, and crazy Chaos Marines cutting poor Guardsmen up. A Jade Necromancer Sorcerer was present too, happy with the fact that a Baneblade, a Hellhammer and 2 Stormblades and lots of tanks were present. Zarkisz had no clue why...

Back in the Control room, a few unexpected allies arrived, all in black cloaks and winged swords on their shoulderpads. Zarkisz knew who these allies were. The fallen had come.

And the fight had begun.

lousy attempt bah the stuff u wrote is excellent, gives a really nice overview of the chaos plans as well as the history between agamoth and zarkisz and fits in with Deadleys and digits fluff.

well i'll post what i have written so far in here later on i'll send it you first so u can check its all ok, i jus need to mention zarkisz fighting with them in the blood crusade, and the jade necromancers can be added in too (ace idea with them by the way :D )

it might be worth it to get some threads set up for each races fluff for the ammoriss stuff, seen as a few ppl have started work on theirs.

i've also done a little piece of word bearers artwork that will be my new avatar, all will be reviealed tonite lol.

and yh again excellent work DK :D

Cheers mate, looking forwards to seeing your own side of the Chaos Fluff. The Jade Necromancers are Digits' own CSM renegades, to tie in with his Skellies.

If you want people, i can start a thread here specifically for Chaos, and then all the other races can start theirs too for fluff :)

I need to make a decent model for Zarkisz, as he is going to be an important character here... (But not as important as Agamoth, as he is the Warmaster baby! :D). Mabye using the rules for Abbadon or making your own rules for him may be a good idea Maelstrom, as Agamoth is one of the most powerful Word Bearers or one of the most powerful and influential Chaos Lords out there.

As for me, i'll write some more fluff, this time concentrating a little more on my army, Iron Warriors with a couple of Renegades added. The last piece was for the general idea of the Chaos forces on Ammoriss, so i'll concentrate on my boys now :)

Any ideas about the Chaso fluff by you Old Guard, maelstrom of anyone else is welcome :)

Right here is my fluff so far:

In the depths of warp space, a fleet made its way to the planet Ammoriss, all that was known is that their arrival would herald the deaths of billions.

In the depths of the Herald of Despair the flag ship of the Word Bearers War host, a gathering of unparalleled power was occurring, the assembly bay of the battle ship contained over 2000 of the brethren each awaiting the address of the voice of the Gods.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The hulking form of Gaahl entered the chamber its edges lined with the apostles honour guard, each one of the finest warriors of the host, known as the disciples of Agamoth. Each nodded to him in respect; they then stepped back into the shadows, the distinctive black robes that they wore over their armour making them all but invisible.
Gaahl made progress across the chamber the heavy tread of his terminator armour echoed through the room. He passed vast banners dedicated to the gods as well as large cabinets and book shelves containing the gathered teachings of each of the apostles that have lead the host over the 10,000 year war.

He reached the centre of the room which was dominated by a huge black marble circular table the centre of which was adorned by an etched 8 pointed star the symbol of the true gods.
Around the table were the most powerful members of the host: Kordreth , Nergal, Asteroth and the other senior commanders. They were joined by contingents from various different legions and renegade warbands, the most sizeable of these were representatives from the Iron Warrior’s legion, with Warsmith Zarkisz himself personally present, members of the renegade warband known as the Jade Necromancers.
Gaahl laughed to himself these pitiful fools believed they could raise and control the dead, it would soon be seen if what they boasted was true.
Zarkisz was another matter, Gaahl held great respect for him after fighting at his side during the Battle of Gravlar Hive in the blood crusade, both of them killed many imperial dogs that day, before Gaahl had been recalled to join Agamoths decisive attack at the heart of the defenses.

This unsteady coalition of warriors had been carefully forged by the Apostle Agamoth himself, he had cultivated relations with each of the factions that vied for the attention of the Gods knowing that he would need to call upon the services of a much larger force if he were to complete the tasks assigned to him.
The 3 previous crusades that the apostle had called had been carried out solely by the warriors of the host with the aide of the iron warriors during the blood crusade, but the final crusade named the crusade of excess for its dedication to slaanesh would be far more demanding.

The target was the world of Ammoriss, a world firmly in the grip of Adeptus Mechanicus and thus heavily fortified. It is for this reason that Agamoth made a deal with an old ally in the form of Zarkisz promising him the experimental weaponry the ad mech would have stored in their facilities in return for his support.
Other renegades and warbands had flocked to the banner upon hearing of the gathering of an Iron Warrior great company and a Word Bearers war host.

Gaahl unable to kneel in his bulky armour, bowed
“Lord apostle, the host awaits your address” he said
“You may rise Gaahl” said Agamoth his voice resonating with pure power.

Gaahl slammed his gauntlet against his chest in salute before taking his place with the other senior Word Bearers commanders.
Agamoth rose from his seat, the assembled commanders and representatives rising with him.
“We will continue this meeting later my allies, I go now to address my warriors” he declared.
The assembled representatives nodded in respect before being escorted to their quarters. Zarkisz and his commanders remained.
“Come my old friend your presence is required at my address” said Agamoth
Agamoth headed toward the chamber exit flanked by Zarkisz their respective honour guards forming behind them.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The two disciples guarding the entrance to the assembly bay slammed their gauntlets against their chests before bowing their hooded heads in respect to passing group of leaders.
The doors opened leading onto a balcony over looking the huge space that was the assembly bay, below over 2000 warriors of the Word Bearers legion stood in their units, lcons and banners of the gods held tall awaiting the address of their leader.
As one the gathered troops slammed their fists into their chests, the noise booming across the bay, they then all went down onto one knee eyes facing the floor.
Agamoth stood at the front of the balcony his captains and the Iron Warriors contingent standing behind him.

“Rise my brothers you may look upon me” said Agamoth his powerful voice easily carrying across the vast room, his body now swathed in a dark power.
“The time of the final Crusade is upon us, as I speak we are on route to the pitiful Ammoriss system, our target is the world Ammoriss itself, which is currently controlled by the pitiful lackeys of the corpse god.” He began.
“Even now the seeds of rebellion have been sown by our allies from the Alpha legion, as well as some of our own agents, the south of the planet will soon erupt into out right rebellion, then we will strike and crush all resistance in the south so as we can begin the ritual”
“The north of the planet is far more heavily fortified the pathetic mechanicus seeking to guard their secrets, for this reason we will be accompanied in this campaign by Zarkisz and his Iron Warriors great company” said Agamoth, whilst gesturing to the group of Iron Warriors.
“With their expertise in siege warfare the mechanicus will soon be cast out of their fortresses, warriors from many other warbands have also joined our mighty crusade all eager to spill the blood of the false emperor’s dogs” Agamoth boomed
“Death to the false Emperor!” exploded the reply from the Gathered troops.
“Indeed my brothers, they shall once again feel the wrath of the warriors of the true gods!” He roared
“Upon success of this crusade dedicated to the Prince of Excess in all his dark glory, I will have completed the Tasks assigned to me by the Gods.”
“Then I shall ascend to join them and Beloved Lorgar as a true prince of the Gods, but fear not my brothers I shall still lead you although a new Apostle will be chosen by the council, to be your spiritual guide”
