I sometime get pre occupied with other things when doing a log so I want to get this one finished and Im sure I can do it with your help. So enough yammering and on to the pics. Woah, your sword brethren look amazing! I like that you've added scriptures and freehand crosses to the armor. I think thats one of the things that make templars so cool :)

Hey mate good to see you on here!

I have to say your Emperor's Champion is a new high, he looks very neat and the red is very striking. I also really like the green contrast the laurel gives. I see you put a dot of white in corners of his eyes, are you going to do that to all the others too? Because it gives the eyes a great shiney effect imo. :)

You can never have too many black templars! I really like your Emp. champion and sword brethern, but maybe it will be a little better if you add a little black to your grey highlight, since it's a little too extreme IMHO (although it is just a matter of taste).

Hail, brother in(at?) arms!

I really like the banner on your castellan and I am groveling for your chaplain, he's just plain awsome. The helmets of your assault marines are a nice touch, I like the contrast. I agree with baru and hiveminion on the highlights, but I think it probably looks great on the table.

Hey guys. Thanks for the words!. The highlights do look extreme, especially on the predator but it seems the camera makes them show up like Neon. On the table they arent so stark. Only two more Assault marines to go and the squad is done, then its a matter of waiting for my other stuff to come in.
I am planing on adding white to the corners of my other marines eyes because I do like the way it came out.
As for the grey im using codex grey?. Does GW have a darker grey other than the blueish shadow grey?

stay tuned

Thnx, Tonight im gonna knock out my last two assault marines and hopefully start basing the unbased marines as well. I may even try using shadow grey for a highlight and see if I can tone my highlights down with it, we'll see.

stay tuned

Emp champ looks good. Nice work on the loincloth and the cross on the belt. I've got a slight con-crit for you.

I think the green laurel and the blue gem at the pommel of the sword need to go. You're using too many colors at once on this guy and it clashes with the scheme a little bit. The green could stay without looking weird, but the blue just looks really out of place. I would recommend you consider changing both areas to gold instead, but at least do it for the blue on the sword.

Don't worry about the "extreme" highlights because they really work for you! You shouldn'y change your track now. Welcome to AB though, will be keen to see this log grow!

Titan- I was seriously debating just making them the copperish color as I had no clue what I should do with them. When I put his backpack on ill change it up. What about changing the laurels to silver with a black wash?

Well I was able to get another assault marine done. I used shadow grey as a highlight to see what it would look like. Let me know what you guys think, YA or nay

Sometimes cutting the sword off at the wrist, then reattaching at a different angle can help.

Thats what I did to give them chainswords instead of the combat knives they have. Ill see what I can do tonight. I dont like having alot of "static" posing.

Don't go ott though! To be fair, much as I like the scout models, gw didn't give them a lot of pose potential. best of luck!
