Thought i might put this thread up to talk about anything to do with GD 08. Digits already has a thread about the ABs GD event.

I'll bring up a few topics....

*Are you needeing a lift? Ask here and someone may come up with a space or two.
*Ammobunker meet up?
*Games to play on the bring and play table?
*What you are going to get?
*Damned Forge World ques? Bring the Deodrant?

Lets get this thread busy...

I myself isn't too sure about what the times are for them, but when the heat begins to kick up on this thread, then we shall see when they are soon :)

Hmm, at the moment I;m deliberating. Last year was interesting talking to the various games designers and seeing the new models, and meeting a few of you loonies, even if the meet was a bit short.

BUT

A lot of the time I felt a tad, err, well, bored. Maybe that was because I was wandering around on my own with no idea of what to do, but... I'm just thinkling that all the new models and so on can just be seen on Warseer/here. Add toi that the cost and the fact that I'm going to be worked off my feet next term (and GD isn;t on an exeat (no saturday school) this year which makes the situation a bit worse)...

I may go, but then again I may not. Who knows :P

Spooky, you and me both... although I will be dragged away by the Warseer Wastoids to hold our banner high at some point, I'm looking forwards to seeing everyone.

At least you won't be shouted at by Sal this year!

MM, part of me understands where you're coming from, just get on the tables, my kids wasted hours on them last year

Keep drifting in and out of the hobby (depending on time of year) - haven't been to games day in years but quite tempted just to live with the long drive up from Plymouth and just have a wander round - is it worth going for the older gamer who hasn't played in a wee while?

Cheers

Now that would be tempting but it'll be just the one as I'll be driving. I assume there's somewhere convienient near the venue to park?

Cheers

There's a hugemungous car park next to the NEC. I'm sure you'll be fine.

But, I found it's cheaper to get the train from Euston in London to the NEC.

I wasn't planning on bringing anything to game with.
I'm only taking 20 Cadian legs for Pfreck and the eager expectation of Deserter to bring his spare Space Wolves bitz for me :D

...and for anyone who doesn't know, this is me:

For those wondering where AB will actually be we now have the location of our three tables...

Posted Image

1. Stage
2. Ammobunker Tables
3. The other Participation Gaming tables
4. 'Full Size 40k'
5. Big 40k Game
6. Seating

So being so close to the stage and on the outskirts of the gaming tables we will be easy to find.

I expected it to be down in the basement, not in the main hall.

Get ready to shout yourself hoarse!

Deoderant for the FW queues?

Try full Hazmat suit...

Or better yet, place an order online, and sneak round the sides as you're supposed to do, but which no-one ever does...
