If you can get away with building a space ship then why not a capitol Dave...... ;)

Crassus' (or Crassi?) are looking great, like the snipers too.

I've seen that before, looks good but hardly looks big enough to hold living quarters, ops rooms etc that I would associate with the fluff. What height for example would the model be to represent the fifty metre height written about?

Actually, why the hell am I asking this? I don't WANT to build one! Stop messing with my head please!

Way Way too small IMO a baneblade should be one of four track units
Like Steve Jacksons Ogre

Well maybe not a Capitol Imperialis but similar type yet smaller mobile tracked HQ, two Baneblade track units per side and it should be ok sizewise.

So before I even invest in platicard and other gubbins, I have to shell out for two plastic baneblades first?

No. Not going to happen.

On the crassus front, if I can somehow get away with using my weathering powders indoors tonight, I may be able to put up finished pics in a few hours time........

However, if I don't put them up, don't assume I didn't get it done, just that I got caught and I'm laying in a pool of my own blood somewhere!
Colours look awful under this light but Manchester lighting ain't so good just now! Better pics when I can get them outdoors.

Prince of Sambuca - black lightning!
Dave did you stencil the numbers on the sides? 4 looks good but 2 looks wonky from that angle!

Looks ok to me mate! I do use a stencil, casually held in place whilst dry brushing into it. Doesn't give the most accurate finish I agree but I'm a gamer not a painter!

Cheers fella.

It was just the bottom of 2 that looked odd Dave, might be your "manchester artificial light"!

Looks splendid. Really nice finish to it. Maybe add a little streak of white paint running down on that number two so the great Gonzo can sleep his nights peacefully ;) Oh and the gate looks perfect, as Crassus seems to be able to enter and leave without tearing the gate down with its side sponsons.

So after these three, what's next big thing (sizewise) on your to do list?

You bought THREE Crassus but you wouldn't buy TWO plastic Baneblades to make a CA? DO IT!

I hadn't really followed this log too much but those FW tanks look very nice, as does the terrain you have it parked in front of.
