Disappointed to be honest. Game seems dumbed down a little. Things like 40k in 40 mins plus kill team seem to have disappeared (mind I've not finished it yet). A lot of old piccies still in it. Background fluff is weak.

To go on from what I said earlier... I only heard a few rules, I haven't had a chance to read it or look at it myself. I should be able to tomorrow morning, though I won't be buying it. I'll be using his copy. ![]() Oh, while I was in the shop... what was with the stickers on the boxes "New 40k New Army"? those were on the Necron, CSM & Eldar boxes. |

Whilst I can understand the disappointment that the book lacks things like the 40k in 40 mins, and Killteam, take heart in the fact that these will be back in supplements in the near future (confirmed pretty much by Rick Priestly at the Open day the other week)! The rulebook itself is nicely laid out, but I'm at a loss as to why they didn't go full colour througout with the photos - a lot of other rulebook do - or even, given the beauty of the Dark Heresy book, copy the design of that! The greyscale look is boring... the background is better than in the 4th ed book, with a lot of nods to the previous editions - but as Digits mentioned, too many re-used illos, and far too much Blanche - I like the guys, but come on - there's other artists who work on this stuff..! All in all, not a bad book, but flawed - 7/10! |

Aye but I'm sick of paying again and again and again for the same stuff! I've always been quite supportive but I'm getting cheesed off with it! Rereleasing the rules for the sake of it is purely for spinning more cash out of us!! I was really quite excited about the book and even convinced my friendly store manager to let me have a copy early, but within 10 minutes, I was left hollow! |

The one from AoBR will do fine mate, nothing wrong with it, it's got everything you'll need to know to legally play a game of 40K. |
