Got back from my local GW just now after being told all about the new chaos stuff!! :D

Chaos Warriors and Marauders are staying the same... as is the Chariot unfortunately  i know, lame :P

Marauder Horsemen are now a plastic kit with mounts bearing a resemblance to unarmoured versions of the blood knight steeds, and that are just as big ;)

a New khorne lord is being released on Juggernaut that is bigger then the current one on daemonic steed...

Chosen warriors are being released as a metal box set (supposedly on 40mm bases) with great weapons being held in apparently awkward poses

oh, and Plastic CHaos Knights... with lances (among other weapons)... bigger then the Blood Knights :P and still on standard cavalry bases and almost impossible to rank up ;)

thats all folks!

Not sure I believe all of it (the chosen rumour especially), but it sounds awesome ... I can't wait for November, especially as I believe both the marauders and chaos knights are £12. Blood Knight steeds, anyone? ;)

Thanks for sharing.

*trying not to sound like the incomparably annoying naruto catch-phrase* believe it! :P

for a start meither marauder horsemen nor chaos knights are £12 ;) they are in boxes of 5 each... most likely for between £25 and £35 (upper bound for the knights, lower for marauders)... and the chosen is also true...

this is official stuff GW have on display in their head offices for staff eyes only... for now anyway ;)

Nope, at least the Marauders are £12, even if not the Knights. Not only does WarSeer support this, but all other plastic cavalry so far for 7th edition have been £12, and for wolves that was ten models, not five.

Pistoliers? ;)

And, IIRC, Cold one Knights.

*cough* This looks like a two-way conversation, one that is hurting my head a lot :X

Just to verify, CoK cannot be bought individually IIRC, and the current box set is £25

@MM: Im pretty sure neither of those are £12 sets with one man in ;)

@FA: what does CoK stand for? cos im really racking my brains and all i cant think of is chariots of khorne...

Edit: Just as i thought MM... pistoliers are 12, but have 5 men, not one :P and cold ones... well ye know, 8 for 18 ;)

besides, as i said, the marauder horsemen are roughly the same size as Blood Knights... so dont expect em to be 12 for 5 ;) or even 15 :P

Merceus, MM, you know not to have convos in threads - you've done this before.. repeatedly. Not only that, but your discussing something that either of you could have confirmed with links to GW box sets, so the whole conversation was utterly redundant..

Come on guys you know I hate doing proper mod work - If it carries on then Ill just slash your post counts down... to a hundred. There, your modded, blah blah blah read the rules blah blah blah behave blah blah blah sorted.

I'm looking forward to both the chaos knights and the marauder knights. I loved both unit choices and my chaos knights were awesome back in the fantasy days. I'm keen to get my Hyborian army going properly... Thanks for the news Merceus

Here's the latest in rumors for the Warriors of Chaos list. This is not confirmed by Hastings or Harry but GodlessM just posted this to Warseer. So make of it what you will.

Hey guys, was lucky enough to get a peek into the book today for a bit.
Some stuff you might want to know (IIRC):

- Marks:
Khorne = Frenzy
Nurgle = -1 WS and BS for enemy when attacking or shooting the unit
Slaanesh = Itp, but ASF also for characters and I think Giants and Ogres.
Tzeentch = +1 ward save and +1 to cast if you are a wizard.

- Army rule IS re-roll panic.

- Gaze of the Gods table - you roll 2D6 in certain situations, which are:
Character wins a challenge (doesn't include beating unit champs however)
Character kills a large target
Trolls regenerate 2 or more wounds

- Characters can get Chaos Gifts aswell as Magic Items (much like how the
Vampire Powers work)

- Shaggoths are rare, there is no character choice.

- War Alter is IN!!! Sort of like a Chariot mounted Cauldron of Blood if you
will in that it is a chariot type model but gives benefits similar to the cauldron
some of which I'll look upon later.

- Next is me hanging my head in shame and defeat, Hrogarr, I am telling you
that your source was right about the Knights weapons (not about the steeds)
and I totally accept that you were right and I was wrong to question you.
Sorry again brother. So yea, that's Knights at S5 with magical attacks, or
at S6 with non-magical attacks, lance replaces the magic weapon.

On top of that, Chosen may roll at the start of the game and the War Alter
allows one unit per turn roll, as one of its benefits.

- Horsemen and Giants can now be marked, and Ogres can be marked too.
Oh, and Ogres have Chaos Armour

Ogres in Chaos Armor! Hot diggity Dog that's awesome!

Should we start a rumor thread to collate the rumors so far?
