gw is simplifyin the codexs, all new ones have lost the armouries,so i guess the new one will as well. My worry is im building up my marine force with vets and termies, will they still be allowed the existing weaponry, otherwise my moneys down the drain? |

They will probibly be similar to the DA and the BA rules. For codex figure on using: 5 man Termi squads that can be either assault or shooty, 1 heavy in shooty only. Vets with up to 3 having a power/combi weapon and 1 special, 1 heavy. |

Though there's nothing but rumours yet, I think the codex will look alot like the current Dark Angel and Blood Angel codices. So 1 heavy weapon per 5 Terminators, etc. etc. With Veterans I think it's safe to equip them with whatever they can have now, as it looks like they'll actually be getting more options than less (yay!). I personally can't wait to add combi-weapons and extra power weapons to my Vet squads.

Yeah I need to pair down my Termies as most of them have multiple heavy weapons (or I could just buy more and put the extras into new squads)
I do hope they veer away from blandifying all Marine armies because otherwise I'm going to be stuck with one army too many if there's no real difference to play with in the rules. God help me if they take out the drop troop rules for Guard when they redo that. Jase - yeah those'll not change. It's just two assault cannon termie squads that'll be going. |

Yes but it is likely that they are still going to be an all or nothing squad setup. Example: 3 termies with Lightning Claws, 2 with Thunder Hammer, no heavies. OR 3 termies with Stom Bolter/Power Fist, one with Assault Cannon and sarge with SB/PSword NOT: 1 Termie with LC, 2 SB/PF, AC, Sarge with SB/PS See the Blood Angel codex for probible termi rules (minus Death company stuff) See the DA codex for probible Vet setup.
Or you could sell me a metal AC.... |

The Codex was easy to understand (Blood Angels Codex in White Dwarf). Honour Guard tho: a) What is a Exsanguinator a weapon or a shield? Basically how do I model one? Tech Adept, I guess its a Tech Marine within the Honour Guard fighting as a footslogger?

rules kinda indicate it is an apothicary med pack.
Honor guard is another name for "command squad with jump packs" and is a BA only thing. BA also have (mostly, see raven guard) exclusive access to Veteran Assault squads. So their vet squads will not fit the codex ideal. |

The Exasginuator I thought was the sort of needle thing on the apothecary's arm. Yeah Look at the Honour Guard box set (if they still have it). It comes with an Apoth, Techmarine and standard bearer as well as a sergeant and melta gun. |

Thanks Dean, you can tell this is my first Marine Army! Strangely I have a spare Techmarine missing his servo arms, so he will be the Tech Adept in the Honour Guard |

Either they are screwing with us or its a ommission. Honour Guard: Transport: Blood Angels or Razorback Veteran Assault Squad: Transport: Blood Angels Rhino Assault Squad: Transport: Blood Angels Rhino Tactical Squad: Transport: Blood Angels or Razorback Why can't 5man squads of vets or assault take razorbacks? confused. |

1. It could be a Dark Angel only thing. (unlikely) 2. All those units that dont get a razorback as an option are units that automaticly come with jump packs and even the DA assault squads may only drop their jump packs and get a rhino, no razorback. |

cheers Dean, obviously Razorbacks are assigned, whereas rhinos are pooled. Buggered me up tho, means Ive got to find more rhinos! My three razorbacks will have to go, honour guard, techmarine and devestators. Love the idea that the techmarine doesn't take army slots tho! |

However I have also heard that techmarine's are getting a bit of a nerf. Plus why are they so crap at fixing things!? |

Two further questions: 1) I guess we've lost Terminator Command Squads? 2) Confusing one. Combat teams must be seperated on turn one to act seperately. What if they are in the ten man rhino bought for them as the full squad? Can they be split on disenbarkation? |

1) Probibly. DA only ATM and we dont have a "proppa" one either. 2) NO. Thus a bummer for escalation especially if you bought a Razorback for a 10 man squad. Edit: Woo! 500th post! |

Congrats on 500! Thats whats confusing me, ten man squad means rhino, but if its split into 2 combat teams, does that mean i can take a razorback for one squad and the other walk? In reality, they could start seperate 6 inches either side of a rhino, 1st move, both embark into it, rules not broken, am I right? |
