I really dont know where this idea sprang from... but for some reason I now have the ridiculous notion that I should finish painting my lotr stuff and expand it!! WHY!?! I have enoughto deal with as is :(

I've got a neat little Isengard army which I just got out and counted up everything in;

Quote:

1 Warg Rider (painted - not based)
1 Saruman (primed - not based)
1 Lurtz (painted - based)
1 Ugluk (painted - based)
1 Uruk-hai Captain (painted - based)
1 Grishnakh  (primed - not based)
6 Uruk-hai w/ swords and shields (painted - based)
3 Uruk-hai w/ swords and shields (painted - not based)
1 Uruk-hai w/ sword and shield (unpainted - not based)
1 Uruk-hai Berserker (half painted - not based)
1 Uruk-hai Berserker (unpainted - not based)
8 Uruk-hai w/ swords (unpainted - not based)
5 Uruk-hai w/ pikes (painted - based)
2 Uruk-hai w/ pikes (unpainted - not based)

...for those crazy sons o' bitches that would care for a break down :P

I also have a Haradrim Raider still in his blister (not exactly what I'd consider Isengard ) and a fully painted Sauron who I will be shoving on eBay soon...

I also have (most of) the rules lying around somewhere (an obscure cupboard most likely ;)) and know them okay enough to be able to start playing after a short night reading through the rules once more...

But my moral dilema is "Should I?" the answer, i dont know :( but maybe you guys can help me... what do i do?

may aswell, atleast once, and if u dont like it, stop collecting it :P

IMO, small games work far better, as you have too move each modle individually.

You could always drag them along too teh meet up

Yes you should :P

Well, i do play LOTR alot with my Dad, so i am bound to say that really :D

Very cool game, and is fast paced and easy to learn compared to the game mechanics of the other systems. The searios are very good, and some of the best senarios do feature Uruk-Hai, so you'll be ok there.

I am very sure you will like the game, try to get BoD in the game too, make him do Rohan for themed games.

DK

(And if you are coming to the Open Bash, you can play me :))

no, i do dwarfs! i used to do rohan though...(7 years ago :P)

just as a point of note; LoTR is the reason i play GW games, i used to play D&D when i was 6-8ish with my dad, we used to get a few of our bits from GW but once they stopped selling them we pretty much dismissed it. until i bought the daegostini mag/played INQ with a mate all those years ago.

i've been trying to get adam to play <_< we'll have to do it on the 4th, get some painted before hand, and play a game or two and decide from there.
