Fuel predominantly.

Well I've primed it and will start painting it this weekend.

Chance visit to B&Q on the way home from work just now and picked up these goodies for a future industrial plant area. All for £6!

The toilet ball cocks will make three great gas storage tanks once raised on legs. A quick ladder up the side, hatch on the roof and a few rungs up to it - et voila!

The two copper elbows, self explanatory.

The real find (well I think so :P ) is the plastic air brick vent. Picture it being the side of a processing plant or atmospheric generator which reqires HUGE vents! Looking forward to using that.

It's well worth a good scout round a DIY store for bits and pieces. I hope to get two good scenery pieces from these items with a bit of mdf, plastistruct, some foam card and a little imagination.

OK, so my resin tanks won't arrive for a week or two yet, but I've painted it (bar the gate sign - my freehand sucks so I need to look for a suitable picture I can print off!).

I'm really pleased with this as I went for more rust! IMHO a very atmospheric piece!

Pictured alongside the two tank bunds, I hope you can see that this kind of terrain is a great alternative to CityFight buildings. Better yet, every piece you scratch is unique!

I've enjoyed making these so much, I'm going to make more! I just wish I had the same drive to want to paint figures at the moment! :(

Thanks guys (& Sal  ) for the comments!

Yes I'm on a roll! May well make another set of tanks (hence the ball cocks) and I was given a large coffee tin earlier today so I'm going to have tanks coming out of my ears! Think I'm cornering the market on Promethium!! lol

I already have bunkers and defensive positions (see Rictus's thread) for the refinery. I am howver thinking it could do with a large corrugated sheet metal warehouse (damaged for playability) and I'll start on that when I get some plasticard.

And for the titilation of those who like to smirk and giggle when the the two words "ball" and "cock" turn up in the same sentence, here is another type (as indeed is the one on my first bund)!
