It was too thick. Use thinner layers so the heat can escape.

It is very slowly clearing up but there is still a mistyness where it is thicker (like around the column base).

Anyway a few shots to finish this one off...

Looks awesome Digits, I love this piece, was showing my Dad your terrain last night and he was thouroghly impressed, he was impressed that you don't seem to plan much of it, you just go with it!

The dead guardsman is awesome btw!

Some may see a lack of planning as pretty silly though......! I sometimes wish I HAD planned it!

Anyway, thanks mate! As soon as I get my hands on another decent Inquisitor scale figure, I'll be doing another statue.

Ha! One of the benefits of having a large IT department is they dug these out for me!

I feel another project coming on.....

Yeah I've been salvaging some of those two. So far only used one on the top of my bunker, but I think one will end up imbeded in the ground on one board.

Also gives me an excuse at some point to get the Underground entrance terrain from FW.

The Statue looks great. I'd seen the Drogan corpse in the other thread, but the 'pigeon' makes it for me :)

Kerravin - cheers!

Tarrant - yes I wish I'd bought a few more!!! I found it at a wargames show (Tripples - Sheffield) last year. I can't remember who was selling it though. I'll have a little think.....

A slight detour from 40k, as I promised my friend Brian I'd finish the Bank for Vulture Creek which he painstakingly cast for me! We're playing this Friday so if I can get it painted, brownie points a plenty!

So I was looking at this building last night when I realised it doesn't really fit in with my more rusty looking later attemps. I decided that when I get this Gamesday behind me, I am going to seriously overhaul it and repaint it to look more ramshackle. I may box in one bay and I need to add some railing and stuff.

Any other ideas are more than welcome.....

Oooooh nice piece, lots and lots of potential in this one!!

Go the railings, surround the bugger, then make lots of holes in it.

A corrugated work/utility/storage shed on one level.

Leave it 'complete' don't turn it into a ruin, but keep it as a 'functional' but run down facility.

Lots of debris scattered all over the various levels, pipes, hoses, cables, beer cans, discarded jerry cans.

A small tanker truck (guess the word's Lorry for you Brits  ) at ground level, with plenty of weathering, up on blocks or flat tires.

.....that's just how I see it, but I might be a little biased towards PA stuff ;)

Hmm...
I'm thinking a chain link fence around the whole complex would be a good start, have it broken down in a few sections. Maybe have the tanker crashed through it ;)
Then rust up the tanks a bit, knock a few holes in it... Put in some walls so you can knock them apart :P
Just a few thoughts... Hope they helped somehow :)

Far too clean and tidy at the moment - blow it up!

Blown up something in the centre with the blast damage spreading outwards and upwards taking out both floors above it

How about some railings, some posters/proclamations, some battle damage and a lot of dirt.
Also a crashed speeder of some sort, smacked into a floor; one of those Eldar numbers with the two crew, bodies hanging out of the wreckage 'Apocalypse Now' style.
