Well, as some know, the Bunker 29 RPG is an extremely visual game and as such, demands a hell of alot of terrain. So I thought I'd share some old stuff and then log my progress of terrain in general.

So, first up (if you can stand the 10min page load :D ) is some archive footage:

This is Locast, a town in a natural crater, that has now been called the Pitt. This is basically the basis for all 'urban' ruins in the wasteland.

To help 3D the wasteland, I have and I am, building little accessories (yeah yeah, dolls furniture). This stuff while looking quite good is very time consuming, but well worth the effort.

Now the imagery of games like Fallout leaves a great impression of shanty towns etc that I've been and will continue to attempt to emulate.

All those buildings and all the wasteland ones I'll do have full interior detailing.

 it's terrain for my Bunker 29 thread which is a post apocalyptic RPG along the lines of the PC games Fallout of to a small extent Half life.

Man, you really need to put on that building a "Moe's tavern" insignia instead of "bar" !

Jokes aside, really impressive terrain! A great job (and a great thread title, too :D )

Thanks guys, I'd have loved to do coke cans and beer cans, but I have no idea what to use for them. If anyone's got any suggestions let me know!! I thought of using very small capacitors, but I couldn't find any small enoughh.

Bits of plastic rod? Drill a wide shallow hole in each end and they should look like beer cans once painted.

Wouldn't the open ends look a bit dicky?

it was just a way to get the inset ends of cans. You could just not bother with the drilling part and just paint the ends silver.

Oh, I thought you meant hollow tube (that's all I've got, from lollipops  ), now I know what you mean. I think I'll impliment that :)

Here's a little piece I've done for my up and coming SGII mini's, works equally well for the Bunker29 and all that.

They're called Coarali trees, an alien plant that absorbs dust and tiny critters to itself via a sticky resin it excretes from itself. As stuff gets stuck to it it grows overthem and increases its size.

Rap some wire into treelike shapes but add plenty of strange bumpy bits then wrap in masking tape:

Coat in PVA then dip in the foam flocking crap:

Seal with a healthy coat of PVA and a little paint:

Fix the base to suit the terrain, prime, paint!

All done:

And all 'set up':

Now for some more at that height, then quite a few more at .5"-1.5".

Great seeing ya again Ross :D
(yes I know it`s my own fault for being "off" for a long time, for good reasons though!)

You know this was just what I needed for inspiration on how to spiffy up my own mining colony Niflheim. I`ve been browsing through a lot of stuff and this comes closest to what I want to achieve.

Cheers bud, looking forward on seeing more updates :)

talast,
Red

PS: saw that Cawdor gang of yours and it looked brill!

Oh it`ll appear sooner or later, I`m just mapping out what I need first and foremost. I`m also trying to sketch up a bit so the TA boyz can help me get it all ready. I`m the only one with a sci-fi table.

Not you too :P Catferret is on my case over at `Seer

You use this table for Necro as well I reckon? It`s suitable for it imo at least :D

@Brambleton- They do look a little burnt doen't they. Just their unique alienness I reckon ;)

@Red- We've been using elements of the Bunker29 wasteland buildings and some of my City Fight (pre-Cities of Death book) terrain for Necro. Gives it an almost wild west feel :)

Looking forward to this Colony!!
