We are a group of like minded individuals who have forged a community based on mutual respect, good humour, jovial banter and friendship. The primary aim of this site is to offer a home to wargames modellers and painters and to promote their projects, share ideas, offer and receive advice, swap bits and ultimately to have fun, indeed, we are an on line club! In that respect, we are blessed to have some outstanding members!
We are not however elitist and we encourage everyone who registers to start a Project Log, whether they are hugely talented Golden Daemon winners or they are totally new to the hobby. Everyone is welcome here, and in the fullness of time, their skills will improve as they themselves strive to emulate those around them. Many Project Logs are based on Games Workshop products though we also encourage the use of other Gaming Systems and manufacturers. We like to encourage scratch builds and kit bashes for all wargaming systems as well as painting of ANY model or miniature.
Members are encouraged to contribute as much as they can with suggestions, ideas, spare bits, supplier links and tutorials. We feel the best way to achieve this is to allow members to talk freely among themselves, to let humour flourish whilst resolving any problems calmly and not resorting to heavy thread moderation. The staff will be as active as the members in this, contributing as much as they can to every aspect of the forum and the hobby that brought us all together in the first place. Any moderation used in this forum exists solely to ensure the correct structure and environment is preserved to make it an enjoyable place to be.
We are also keen to promote gaming as a means to encourage project growth! As such, we aim to organise at least one AmmoBunker bash per year at Nottingham*, as well as encourage gaming between members and participation in our home grown campaigns. We also encourage you to use the opponent finder.
There is always at least one competition on the go as well as individual and/or team painting campaigns such as "Band of Brothers". Please feel free to join in as we've found them to be a lot of fun as well as a perfect answer to increasing your productivity!
We were very pleased indeed to have been asked by Games Workshop to represent the web based games forums by putting on tables at the 2008 and 2010 Gamesday UK events- we must be doing something right!!!!
Indeed we were asked again in 2011 and we were particularly pleased to win Best Club Table!!!!!*** We shall be there again in 2012!
Many new members are pleasantly surprised as to how friendly we are. Please don't feel shy or intimidated - come and spend time with us. We look forward to sharing our work and seeing your projects!
