Shae sat patiently in the car, her eyes closed. Waiting. Still. Her facts and backstory moving through her mind. When that car door opened, she would no longer be Shaede McKillan. She would be Heather Flannigan, daughter of a wealthy Lord, sister to a wealthy doctor. Her skin was that of another.

She felt Noire fidgeting beside her and gently placed her hand over that of her friend, to offer comfort and calm.

They pulled up.

And Heather's eyes opened. Her face was bright, her eyes sparkled and a smile slipped into place. Her mask was set.

She was the last from the car, and her hand slid against Aiden's. She felt a spark but beat it down. Now was not the time. She smiled, flashing pearly white teeth, a smile Shade never wore. He wished her luck in a breathless voice that almost made her shiver. She smiled wider,

"Oh sweetheart," she crooned in a sudden Irish accent, "I don't need luck." She flashed him a suggestive wink and turned, following her brother and the other two, her hips sauntering as she did so. She felt Aiden's eyes on her and smirked.

As they reached the ballroom they were introduced , 'Heather' smiled sweetly and Victor took her hand, she curtseyed as Leon introduced himself an his sister. He too had adopted an accent that matched his sister's.

She caught Ashcroft's eye for a moment, looking at him through her lashes.

He left and she turned to 'Scarlet'.

"Aye miss," she stated, "distraction and the remote... My specialty," she smiled and nodded, not dropping the accent. She wouldn't until she left or their cover was blown... She leant over to speak softly in 'Scarlet's ear. "What can you tell do you know about him?" She murmured. Any insight would be beneficial to attract his attention.

Rubi walked with her as they headed for the various displays of food. "He specializes in new technologies. Weapons, security systems, various vehicles including ships--both air and sea vessels--planes, motorcycles, cars, and much more. I imagine that's where most of his interests lie, as I've heard, he's never womanized or anything despite his good looks, manners, and charm. You'll have to talk to him, weedle out more information that could be beneficial. Try to...get him to ask you for a dance," the redhead suggested. "Though I'm certain you could get the device without so much as conversing with him if you wanted to. But...seeing the way he looked at you instead of the rest of us, I imagine he's interested in getting to know you a little."

As Rubi and Shae plotted amongst themselves, Noire followed Leon wherever he went, as was her role as the delicate wife-to-be. Catrina was the shy and slightly timid girl Noire once was before she was taken. Though Noire was normally a wildcat, right now she had to play the role of a sweet kitten, as Connor affectionately called Miss Renard. Though she had hated every second and rebelled against the lessons, it wasn't to say that she didn't learn anything. Taking on a different identity and personality was part of her role enforced by Ravenholm. However...

The raven-haired wildcat glanced at Leon from the corner of her eye every now and then, much more subtle than how a good deal of men, both young and old, were looking at her, including those Leon was reluctantly chatting with. Only an hour, she told herself. She, Shae, and Rubi only had to fake it for an hour before they would get to sneak off. She eventually noticed Leon looking directly at her for some inexplicable reason, and the intensity of his gaze mad her face a little warm.

"What is it?" she asked in Catrina's soft voice, though she wanted to give him the brash tone she usually had.

'Heather' smiled at the description of the man, "Well... a man after my own heart, seems almost a shame to see him only the once." She laughed sweetly. "Perhaps I'll just convince him to hand it over before the night is done," She teased. Looking out of the corner of her eye, she watched his movements, she noticed him bowing away from a couple of older guests, as his face dropped when they weren't looking she smirked.

"I believe I have found my cue..." she stated, taking two glasses of champagne with her she slipped away and sauntered across the room. She slipped around groups and couples before gliding up behind him and stepping to his opposite side, the first thing he'd have seen was the glass held by a delicately gloved hand. "Penny for your thoughts, Sir Ashcroft?" she asked softly, holding up the glass for him.

Meanwhile Leonhart had been speaking with a few of the older gentlemen, the conversation was dull, but he knew how to speak to them, he had been around this type for a while, when he'd gotten jobs before joining the Alice.
He'd steal a glance at his 'fiancée' every chance he got, and every time she managed to leave him breathless. She was utterly stunning. Eventually however she seemed to notice and he could not help but smile, seeing the irritation behind her eyes. Suddenly he could not help himself,

"Forgive me, kitten," he stated in his smooth accented voice, "You are breathtaking this evening." he took her hand and brought her knuckles gently to his lips, "you may kill me later," he murmured, placing a gentle kiss upon them.

After a moment, laughter began to dance behind his eyes, firstly at her expression, secondly at a man that was standing a few metres behind her. "Looks awfully familiar, doesn't he?" he asked, gesturing to the man, it was the same man from earlier in the day, the one Leon had pelted with the fruit.

Meanwhile, Aidan had parked the car and sneaked around, going through the servants entrance, through the kitchens, and into hidden corridors meant to keep the house staff out of sight, leaning against corners as he peered around them to find security guards posted everywhere. He smirked and in a split second, he was gone from his spot, a slight breeze passing by the guards, who looked at each other, wondering if a window was left open somewhere. Within five seconds, Aidan was at another corner, having moved so fast that he was near invisible in passing. He sighed with some small relief. This was why no one ever caught him, whether they be town guards or the angry husbands of the women he courted. The fruits of being a non-human.

It didn't take long for him to find the security room. He saw a keypad next to it and he walked over, raising his hand, little zaps sparking in his fingers as he overcharged it and the light turned green. Smirking again, he let himself inside, only to be greeted by three guards, and for five whole seconds, they merely stared at each other. Aidan laughed nervously and gave a small wave with an awkward smile, but his facade dropped and he dropped them in two seconds. They lied unconscious before he dragged them off to the side against the wall. Afterwards, he sat at the console and wiggled his fingers in small delight before they danced across the keyboard. All he had to do was disable certain alarms, loop some feeds, and voila.

---

Noire turned three shades more red with his affectionate gesture, both from annoyance and embarrassment. It took quite a bit not to pull her hand away, merely out of instinct, but his firm hold on her hand reminded her of her role. As he glanced behind her, she followed his gaze with a puzzled expression then froze. Oh dear, she inwardly said. The memory of earlier nearly had her barking out a laugh, but firmly she kept her face passive.

Victor turned to the fine damsel and quietly took the proffered drink. "What, indeed? Parties are tedious, no?" He smiled softly. "Call it intuition or instinct, but you don't strike me as the partying type."

Leon beamed inwardly, she was adorable, he almost wished the engagement was not just a story... ah well... perhaps he would get his chance to play prince charming one day... he'd already saved her once and she forgave him... perhaps if he saved her enough she might like him. Someone bumping his shoulder bought him back to focus, he looked back to his lovely but pretend bride-to-be.

"Care for a dance?" he teased jokingly.
-

Shaede put on her award winning smile,

"What gave me away?" she asked as she took a sip of her drink, "I shall admit, I am here because my dear brother asked, he seemed to make it sound more fun than sitting at home alone slowly going mad from boredom," she smiled. "Now I can slowly die of boredom while he speaks to people I don't know about things I don't understand," she laughed softly, then glanced at him cheekily, "the company's not bad though..." she flashed him another smile, doe-like eyes looking at him innocently.

The young woman in powder blue was thrown off by his sudden proposal and she stood there frozen. Noire was tempted to say no, but again, remembered her role. They've only been in the room twenty minutes. Only forty minutes to go. Looking slightly flustered, she reluctantly nodded, taking his offered hand before being practically pulled to the slightly crowded dance floor were skirts and the tails of coats were swinging, a swirling mass of colours. Due to the crowd, Noire instinctively moved into Leon simply to avoid everything else that was so uncomfortably close. She didn't even take notice of his surprise by her sudden retreat, practically burying herself into his side, eyeing the crowd with the wariness of a scared kitten.

The host smiled. "To be honest, I just throw these parties as a formality and possible business opportunities. I'm not usually interested in...people. I have better things to do than humour these folk with things they hardly understand anyway. However..." he paused, looking her over. "I'm curious, Miss Flannigan. What exactly does your family business entail? I don't recall the Flannigans being on the guest list."

Aidan looked amongst the monitors as he reprogrammed them one by one, stopping short of changing the ballroom feed. He spotted Shaede talking to what he recalled was the host. Good, she was straight to work. Still, he felt strange when he watched them converse. It annoyed him that he felt irritated by the sight. Shaking his head, he went straight back to work.

---

On the other side of Mecha in a different hangar, an armada cruiser snapped into place as the brackets sealed onto the ship. The bottom ramp opened up, the dark-clad Lieutenant-General Mael descended, followed by Avalynn, Garrick, and a couple of his soldiers. Other patrons of this particular hangar stopped and stared in shock. He approached the registry office, stepping inside where there was a small lineup. He marched past the line, staring hard at the first person standing at the desk until they lowered there head and stepped out of his way.

The bookkeeper gulped as she stared at him. "H-how may I help you, s-sir?"

"I'm looking for a ship. The Alice."

The receptionist nodded, looking at the registry on the computer. "U-um, it's not here, but there is a ship by that name that was registered in the Western port."

"Thank you, good evening." With a swish of his cloak, he turned and left, rejoining the other two. "It seems your tracking skills have not failed you, Mr. Ritter. They're here. They're in the Western Port."

Garrick's arms were crossed as he gave a devilish grin. "McKay isn't there. At this time of night, if he's not on the ship, there others are likely with him, committing something nefarious, no doubt."

Mael arched a brow. "Pirates making a big heist."

"Possibly. Maybe there's a party. His dear Captain tends to rob people blind at big galas." The brunette chuckled. "Well, I wonder if I have to dress up. We're probably not even invited." He looked over Avalynn. "What do you say and we go crash a party before they do?"

"Pinpoint him," Mael demanded. "We've got no time to deal with pointless dressups and shenanigans."

Garrick snorted. "Well, you're no fun, and I was looking forward to the free booze." He sighed and closed his eyes, his long hair raising a little, opening his eyes again, a predatory look in his glowing green eyes. "The upper class ring...North-West sector." He could see it now, the stomping grounds of the rich and famous. He smirked, murmuring to himself. "I'm coming for you, big brother."

Leon looked at Noire with surprise as she leant against him, but he could not hide the smile is caused. He placed a hand on her back protectively, turning her gracefully to the music. He was thoroughly enjoying himself... A beautiful woman on his arm and she seemed to like being there, what else could he ask for? He would not allow any harm to come to her, and he stood by like a guardian, ensuring that noone came too close. At the same time he knew he could not drag out the dance too long.

"Would you like to go back? Perhaps out to the balcony?" He asked, "I do not want to make you more uncomfortable..."

--
Shaede smiled sweetly, "Oh, my brother is a doctor, but it was likely Scarlet's name on there somewhere, she does so love attention to it." She quickly diverted his attention stepping to the front of him. "Speaking of which, she mentioned you are in the markets of technologies and automotive... now I am hardly an expert on the matter, but I read that the security system stocks dropped by nine percent in the last quarter, and that you issues a statement saying you had a new system that would revolutionise the industry completely..." She paused, and flashed him a cute grin, "Scarlet would be so proud, memorising facts to sound impressive," She leant forward slightly, "did it work?" she added playfully.

----

Avalynn swaggered off the ship, her hips swayed with utter confidence. Like she owned the place. The occasional cheeky glance at Garrick just reminded her of her 'workout' earlier... something she was keep to repeat. She smirked as he mentioned dressing up.

"I've got something I could throw on," She grinned, but became crestfallen when Mael shot the idea down. She felt her heart beat a little harder when he used his power, the look in his eyes made her shiver, there was something about his predatory glare that excited her. As they set off the let her hand brush his backside, but made no mention of the action. merely smirking to herself.

Victor watched her, listening intently until she finished and he scoffed with some amusement. "I suppose I am. Usually the woman don't know a damn thing about what I do. You're quite refreshing. As for the project I'm working on, that's my secret." To emphasize his point, he put a finger to his mouth which was curled into a smile. "Let's just say a lot of competitors will be very unhappy with me."

Noire was taken aback by Leon's boldness, placing one hand on her waist and bringing her close as he took her hand in his other. She swallowed and swayed with him. It didn't escape her notice that he was maintaining a distance from other dance pairs and was partially grateful for it. It was almost nice, this dancing. She remembered that she used to love dancing like a fool when she was a child. It eventually ended, and she was beginning to feel a little warm. Nodding to his suggestion about the balcony, they headed out to the outer area. The cool air was welcome for once as she placed her hands on the railing, staring as the clouds partially covered the stares and the waning moon.

Shaede stuck out her lower lip in an adorable pout, "You're utterly no fun at all," she muttered, but returned his smile. Behind his shoulder she spotted a brunette woman glaring at her, then whispering to another woman who joined in. "As for competition, yes I can see some are very unhappy," she laughed softly, gesturing with her head to the women by the buffet table. "They don't seem to like me taking up your time.... perhaps I should let you return to them... though, I had hoped to get in a dance before the night is out?"

Leon released her hand, remembering her request that he leave them be, but left his hand at her back as they headed for the balcony. As soon as they stepped out, the cool air rushed over him and he stepped back from her, giving her space. If noone could see them he did not need to be so close... sad as it was.
"The view is absolutely stunning out here," but he was not looking at the city below.

The blonde host tilted his head. Something about this woman intrigued him. He looked towards his admirers and nearly blanched, but kept a passive face. It wasn't new that he had women swooning after him, and his money. He wasn't interested in such superficial women. Turning back to Shae, or rather, Heather, he smiled, putting aside his flute of champagne.

"Then, my lady, would you permit me that honour?" he proposed with a bow, extending out his hand.

Noire sighed, brushing aside some spare curls from her face. She stared at him from the corner of her eye and blinked. Why was he staring so intently at her? "What?" she asked again, this time with more of that wildcat edge she was holding back. She was even making an irritated face. "Do I got something on my face, or something? Did my makeup smudge? Damn Rubi. I told her I didn't want the stupid crap on me..."

"I'd be delighted," she stated. Shaede's hand slipped neatly into his as she placed her glass down. She curtseyed back politely and stepped to his side. Her other hand moved to his shoulder as they turned into the dance floor. She moved with him, having to remember that the male leads, not her. It was evident from her graceful steps, that she had lied when Aiden asked if she could dance.

"I admit," she murmured as they turned, it was not a fast song, so able to talk without too much distraction, "I am not as proper a lady as I should be," she glanced at him flirtatiously through her lashes. "I like things I shouldn't..." she bit her lower lip and leant a little closer.

"Whilst I am meant to be embroidering, I was trying to build traps against the staff. I wanted a bike for my seventh birthday not dresses... and..." she leant closer, her voice a whisper, "I know how to drive an airship." she leant back, eyes twinkling mischievously. Proper ladies did not do these things... they gossiped, sewed, embroidered, took tea in the garden and did not even read very much. Proper ladies sat there, looked pretty and smiled at gentlemen, with nothing much going on in their heads.

Shaede chose to tell him partial truths, indeed she had set traps, but for the security of Ravenholm, and she did want a bike, which she was lucky to learn to ride, they saw it as useful for her training.

--

Leon just chuckled.

"No, my lady, your face is perfect, do not fret." he shook his head and smiled, he stepped over and leant on the railing. "I honestly don't know how I am to distract anyone when the two of you turn heads wherever you step. I would be surprised if the room did not notice you two leaving..." he stated.

Noire blinked at Leon's claim. "Are you...flirting with me?" she asked, actually looking baffled. The look he had said it all and her face turned red. Putting up a front by giving him a scowling face, despite her reddened cheeks, "Stop fooling around, you idiot. We got work to do. How much longer til we meet up with McKay? I want to get this over with so I can take off this stupid dress." She paused, and again, another look he gave deepened her fluster. That came out wrong! "L-let's go back inside! I'm hungry!" And like that she marched back in, hiking up her skirt some so that she could go straight for the food table. When she got there, at least she remembered her role enough that she ate some finger foods as a delicate lady should.

Victor grinned. "I thought something seemed a little off about you. But in a good way of course. I find the propriety of good behaviour overrated. People, especially women, need to let go and get dirty sometimes. I wouldn't be where I am today if I hadn't rolled up my sleeves. Besides, knowing the dirty things can make a difference in one's survival." He regarded her carefully, taking on a deepening expression of thought. What was it about this woman that intrigued him? Something pulled him to her. "You know...I find you fascinating. You're definitely not like the other women." Most women were usually flaunting themselves in front of him like a pack of bitches in heat, but this one wasn't drooling all over him. In fact, she was enticing him in such a subtle way, feeding his cravings for intelligent company. "I would very much like to keep in social contact with you after this party is over with."

Meanwhile, Aidan ground his teeth together in small annoyance. He'd only known Shaede for a few days, but to see her dancing elegantly with a prat... Shaking his head free of all those thoughts, he scowled at the screens and continued to work. He nearly jumped out of his chair when he heard a voice in his ear, barely remembering the earpiece he stuck inside it.

"McKay, how's it coming along? You almost done?" whispered Rubi.

He sighed, relaxing in his seat again, pressing a finger to the comm. "Yeah. Five more minutes. Just waiting for the boys to take over. I'll let you know."

"Bene," she replied.

"Banged any of the rich men out of their assets yet?"

Rubi chuckled as she stood from the crowd, pretending to be fixing her hair as she spoke to Aidan. "I'll have you know that I am a lady, Mr. McKay. The only one who shall be stealing anything as of the moment will be Miss Flannigan. She's already on target. I worry for my cousin though. Seems that the dear doctor has already sent her loins ablaze."

Aidan adopted a horrified expression. "I didn't want to hear that, you sick woman!" Despite that, he looked at the screens to see Noire munching away. "What the hell are you talking about? She's eating!"

The redhead merely smirked. "Women eat when they're nervous, especially when it involves a man they're beginning to like, particularly to avoid confronting those feelings. You, a womanizer, should know this."

"I'm a mechanic, not a psychologist," he retorted. "Regardless of how many women I bedded, they're still a damn mystery to me." As he finished talking, he turned to the door as it was opening, and a couple of his underlings came through the door. "About time you showed up." He pressed his comm. "Alright, Cap, two more minutes, and I'll be on my way to meet you three. Be ready."

Rubi said nothing, her smile glowing more from her growing excitement. She looked at Shaede, waiting to make eye contact with her before looking away again, giving the raven-haired girl all the signal she needed. Now was the time to take away the device required. After her subtle message was sent, she waltzed up to Leon and Noire at the food table.

"Oh! My dear cousin, has your fiance embarrassed you again? You naughty boy!" she said, playfully smacking him on the shoulder. Noire nearly coughed up her food while Rubi naturally slid into the typical party woman, slipping her arm into Noire's. "Come, Catrina, your makeup is smudging. You don't mind that I steal away your fiancee to freshen up and powder our noses, do you, Mr. Flannigan?" Without waiting for his or Noire's answer, she grabbed Noire's plate, putting it down and then started dragging away the flustered kitten.

Leon gave Noire an innocent smile, holding up his hands in a surrendering gesture,
"I have no idea what you mean," he stated, feigning ignorance. He chuckled as she stumbled over her words and hurried inside. He followed, a step behind, making sure noone would bump into his fiance.

Rubi approached a short time later, swatting his shoulder. Leon shrugged in response,
"It's hardly a fault of mine if my lady is not able to handle my compliments." He smiled. "I shall see you two shortly, I have business with Master Ashcroft..." with that he offered a gentle bow and turned heading for Shae's direction.

Meanwhile Shae had noticed the signal and lined up the opportunity whilst still holding conversation. She could not help but smile at his confession;
"Well, bestill my beating heart," she stayed playfully, "I daresay if one does not become aquainted with the dirty side of life, one cannot have any fun," one of the gentlemen passed them, and clearly he'd had a few drinks to many, he stumbled and bumped Shae slightly, she fell against Victor, pressed hard up against him. In that moment her hand slipped into his coat, where she had seen a glimpse earlier of a silver remote. Light as a feather she slipped it out and hid it within her dress. Once they had stepped aside and stopped dancing she looked up at him and flashed a grin at him feigning a look of 'that was close'.
"Perhaps I will be able to see you again. Though my brother has business elsewhere and we are leaving in the morning--" she turned as Leon approached. "Ah here he is now. Where was it we are leaving for dear brother?"

"Damescus, small place, but I have some old friends there." Leon smiled, "Heather, Scarlet was adamant for your attention, someone she wished you to meet I think."
Shae gave a short bow, "til later then gentlemen," and with that she sauntered off to meet with Rubi and Noire.

"Quite the woman, my sister," Leon chuckled as he walked with Lord Ashcroft. "Has a few men chasing after her I believe... she doesnt seem to have the patience for them though."

Ashcroft barely budged when his dance partner was suddenly pushed into him, reflexively tightening his hold to keep her from losing her balance. He didn't even feel her hand slip the remote away from him, too focused on the sudden close contact. He smiled slightly when she sent him a "phew" kind of expression. He expressed some small disappointment that she would be leaving so soon the next day, then his face sobered as her brother joined them. He was tempted to keep hold of her hand when they parted, but restraint and composure released her. He was still staring off after her when Connor Flannigan spoke.

"Indeed," he murmured mostly to himself. Inwardly shaking his head, he turned his undivided attention towards Leon. "I must admit, she's quite astounding, in a complimentary way, of course." He sobered once again, now in deep thought, but just for conversation's sake, he continued to speak casually, "Your fiancee is quite lovely as well. You are a fortunate man. May I inquire as to how you two met? Through your business partner, no doubt. They are cousins, no?"

In a well lit hallway, Rubi and Noire waited for Shaede to join them before the trio glided their way down the corridors. Surprisingly, there was little security, and they turned another corner before they were met by the pilot, who was leaning casually against the wall with his arms crossed. He spotted them, pushing off the wall, taking a long glance at Shaede before turning his moon-like blue eyes towards Rubi.

"Feeds are looped, and already the men are taking over the posts."

"Good, let's make this quick. We'll only have so long to break in and then get back before our dear Lord begins to grow suspicious of our absence. Did you find the entrance?"

"Quite easily. I can sense where most of the electrical current is headed."

"You mean you two idiots didn't have a clue how to get into the basement?" Noire inquired irritably.

Rubi smiled reassuringly. "Well, we couldn't find the blueprints, and Mr. Ashcroft is smarter than that. What he never took into account was that the power that runs through this place would lead us straight to the vault. McKay creates a mental blueprint of the entire building, just by tapping into the power currents."

This was complete news to Noire, as she had not witnessed what Shaede had witnessed of Aidan's inhuman abilities. "What?"

"Later," Rubi said. "We need to go. Lead the way, Aidan."

He smiled smugly, marching off, turning corners without so much as a single faltering step. Instead of finding stairs that descended, he ascended to the second, then the third floor. Noire made it obvious that she had doubts about Rubi and Aidan's confidence. The security seemed to thicken the closer they reached their destination, wherever that was. It finally became clear when they reached a dimly lit corridor, a wall with artwork on one side, and a wall of tall windows with the moonlight shining through on the other. At the end was a pair of security detail posted before a set of intricately designed double doors.

Aidan peered around the corner, whispering to the girls, "That's Ashcroft's office. Inside, there's a secret elevator that leads to the basement. I'll knock them out and hack the lock."

"Make it quick," Rubi said casually.

But, Noire silently argued, he would be seen before even getting close to the guards. However, her blue eyes widened when Aidan was suddenly gone in a blink, having already reached the guards in a mere second. They barely had any time to register his sudden appearance when he quickly disarmed them, then knocked their heads together. Rubi smiled, coming out from behind the corner.

"Well done, McKay. Have you gotten faster?" she asked.

"Maybe a little," he boasted, crouching before the door's lock. "Hm, for a guy who deals in security, it's a rather simple electrical lock. Prat." Placing his hand over the pad, he overcharged the lock, causing the door to click open. "Done. Now to find the entrance."

They slipped inside, dragging the bodies with them. Noire, however, was quite annoyed. "When were you going to tell us that he wasn't human??!"

Aidan looked over at her. "Hm, seemed like you were the only one that didn't know. I figured Miss MacKillan would have told you about it by now. You know...the night of the storm."

"It's not important right now," Rubi reminded them. "We've got work to do. Hide the bodies somewhere."

Noire dropped the subject, but looked at Shaede with some surprise. Had she known about this already? How? And why did she fail to mention it to her? The pilot brushed his hand against the furniture almost lovingly, then did the same to the walls. Finally, he caressed the wall of books, his eyes glowing unnaturally in the darkness of the room. He stroked the spine of one book, a trail of light following it and disappearing. A click could be heard, then a hiss as that particular shelf sank into the wall, then slide over, revealing a fancy copper and velvet elevator.

He smiled. "Target located."

Rubi chuckled, touching her comm. "Gentlemen, top floor, furthest right corridor, single hallway, large fancy doors. The entrance to the vault is Ashcroft's office. Please make your way now. We're going in now," she said as the four of them piled into the elevator, the door sliding shut. "Seems the guy has a taste for classic secret entries. Which book was it, McKay?"

"I believe it was called, Lovecraft."

"Lovecraft is the title. Please be sure to remember that when you're calling the elevator," she repeated, dropping her hand afterwards. It became quiet after that as the elevator descended upon the pull of a lever.

Aidan stood against the wall again, arms crossed. He noticed Noire eyeing him suspiciously. Sighing, he answered her doubts patiently, "It's not exactly something I like to make obvious."

"How did you escape the fate of that prison?" she asked, very much annoyed by the way he was keeping secrets. "Leon, from what I understand, his powers are weak in comparison to us, so he slipped from notice. You, however, are a different story."

Rubi said nothing, and Aidan knew she wouldn't. She wasn't going to pull him out of this one. Noire would no doubt pester him due to her own mistrust. If he didn't answer, she would probably keep an uncomfortable eye on him, or kill him simply for being suspicious. The girl really irritated him that she couldn't even trust someone of her own kind.

Finally, he closed his eyes, exhaling with the first sign of impatience in his tone, "They would have taken me away, had I not killed my own father before he could sell me off."

This seemed to quiet Noire's expression of mistrust, actually softening her features. He killed his father? "I see." And she said nothing more, turning away, seemingly satisfied with his answer.

Leon offered a polite smile, hiding an inner twitch at the way the Victor longingly gazed after his sister. Whatever she had done to snag his interest certainly worked... perhaps even a bit too well. But his question was directed toward his side of the deception. But of course he had answers. Reciting in his own words what Noire had told him. He knew he had to hold the man's attention for quite a while, he began running conversation topics through his head.

Shaede noticed the pilot giving her a long stare as he approached. She had put her smile aside, her expression once again serious and watching with the focus of a predator.

She blinked at Noire's reaction to Aiden's power, she didn't--? Oh that's right, Noire had been asleep when Aiden had re-directed that storm. She was so used to the other girl always being by her side, she had forgotten thay she wasn't there to witness the awesome display of power. Though as he dashed forward, even Shaede blinked in surprise. It was impressive, she did not tjink he could move that fast. No wonder with all his womanizing that he did not have so many scars.

Noire looked to her, but Shaede made no apology, this was neither the time nor place for such a discussion. She kept her arms folded, and expression level. Noire however seemed insistent, and Aiden finally confessed to the murder of his father. Shaede frowned slightly. She'd had to read him and twist his arm to get him to talk about it, and here he was, willingly spitting out the information. It seemed to satisfy Noire, but Shaede would be glad to get down to business....

A short moment later the elevator stopped, and the four stepped out.
