Duina sighed. it wasn't long before she was sleeping. So even if Alex had come later that night, it wasn't likely that she was going to wake up to get to the door. She would have just remained a sleep. Arms under the pillow, still in her dress. Time progressed and it would have been time for most folk to be getting up, but Duina was already up and had a few of her bags open as she walked around her room. Packing things slowly as she was making sure not to break anything that might have been so frigile. She looked at the data pads that were still on her table before looking at a dress she was smoothing out. Closing upthe bag, she would soon take up one of the pads before looking through it. She had almost completly packed so for now she would focus on a way to get Michael out of the situation he was in before taking her shuttle back home. Hair was twirled in her fingers as she sighed while reading. |

Alex remained in his quarters and started making a list of people who stood to gain by said situation, in that process he started ordering up any and all available information on those people. after a few hours he passed out. Michael stood in his small cell and looked around, there wasn't much to see. A bed and table with a chair and the outer hallway through a small window. He sighed to himself and then laid down. he wouldn't be able to prove his innocence until he got onto the ship. |

Duina looked around for a moment or two before inhaling some. She put the data log down before looking at her bags. She really hated that she was going ot leave, but she tought it would be best. She soon stood up before slipping on her shoes. Door was opened and she looked up and down the halls. She wasn't actually to sure if Tarik had done anything else while she had slept. If she was able to step out of her quarters without a problem, she would walk down to get herself some breakfast or just anything that she wanted. She wasn't to sure how long she was going ot be on the ship, so she hadn't packed everything. If, for some reason unknown to her that she couldn't leave her quarters, she would just walk back in before sitting down and looking at the data logs again. She wasn't that hungry, but she would try again later. |

Alex had been going over the small list of people he thought had the most motive and Former Admiral Rodney and Commander Tarik were at the top of the list. He grabbed the three data pads and started making his way to Duina's quarters. He thought he should apologize as well for last nights accident. Jade stood up as the door to his cell opened. A security guard and another Commander stepped in. The Commander walked up to Jade. "Captain Jade, you are to come with me to the court room where you will make your opening statement. Miss Duina and Mr. Callister should be here soon." Jade nodded and followed the two officers out of the cell and towards the court room. He hoped that they would have some kind of defense built up if nothing else a theory. |

Duina was about half way down the hallway before she turned back. She all of a sudden just wasn't hungry. Walking back into her quarters, she soon entered before just sitting down. Head was held in her hands before she inhaled some. She didn't have much at the moment that would help Michael, but she hoped that Alex had something. She leaned back before looking at her bags. Getting up, she moved the bags that could no longer have anything packed in them by the door before looking at the one that was half empty. |

It took Alex only a few moments to get down to Duina's room. He slowed to a walk just in front of her door and pressed the call button on it. "Duina it's me Alex. I got something. it doesn't prove Michael innocent but it'll give us some time to find more proof and maybe get him back aboard the ship for a short time." |

Duina looked up before opening the door and walking back to her bag. "Alright. I suppose it will have to do for now... " She looked over at him and nodded some. "What do you have?" She walked over to a chair before sitting down. She didn't care if he noticed the bags and questioned them. She would answer back just as bluntly as she normaly answered some things. |

Alex stepped in and immediately saw the bags, he'd ask about it later but hoped maybe he could change her mind. "Alright we don't have long to prepare anything so we may end up having to wing some of our case but it shouldn't be a problem. What two people stand to gain the most from this?" He waited a moment before continuing. "Former Admiral Rodney and Commander Tarik. Rodney stood to regain his Admiralty by discrediting the captains discovery of the NX a awhile back by claiming that it was a hoax in an attempt to cover up this. there must be a way he could connect the two but I haven't found much yet. As for Commander Tarik he was supposed to have command of the Aeon and was the ship he was aiming for. because Captain Jade got it before he did they gave him the option of remaining a commander until a position became available that he liked or be given his own command, not satisfied with that he remain a commander and waited for the Aeon to become available. This has given him just that." He smiled at her. "These two accusation and theories will buy us enough time to gather more evidence and possibly the captains release from the station and allowed aboard the ship again." |

Duina nodded as she listened. "I see...Very well. We will go with that. and If it works we will have to work harder." She then stood up before walking over to him. "Shall we go and try and get Michael back before everyone is ready to murder Tarik?" She knew she would. She hated the man, but the man seemed to hate her as well. So the feelings was mutual. She then just grabbed the data logs she had before smiling softly to Alex. She wasn't one to hold to many hard feelings, so she seemed to be alright even after the other nights 21 questions. |

Alex nodded and offered to lead the way to the transporter room. "We've already been cleared to beam directly to the station" ================== Posted Image The court room had only a handful of people in it but more would be allowed in when the opening procedure had finished. when that was done the room would be full. Jade walked into the center of the room and stood at ease while the council made their opening statement. "Captain Michael Raymius Jade you stand accused of the following. Conspiracy to commit murder and Murder of Officer Leuitenent Senior grade Charles Ronson Delcam. Do you have anything you'd like to say in your own defense or opening statement before the trial begins?" Jade looked around at the room for a moment. "The death of Charles Ronson Delcam was an accident however the circumstances were... highly unusual and frankly I think this trial is simply a waste of time." The council members looked slightly confused. "Then you wish to forgo the trial and take the consequences?" Jade looked at them with a calm expression. "Not at all. I... my defense will prove my innocence and them some." |

Duina had entered the court room with Alex and didn't actually say or do anything. Eyes just watched Michael as she spoke before looking at Alex. After all, he had been the one to actually find a way to get the captain back on the ship, possibly, so she figured she would let him do what he needed too. For now, she would just looked around at everyone, opening her mind to the many things that they were feeling. Some was sympathy while others were pure hatred. Many of them where mixed in their emotions, but Duina seemed to be be able to hold her compose well. |

Alex stepped forward next to Michael and looked back at Duina as if to suggest she do the same. He looked back at the council. "Council members... Alex Callister and Miss Duina wish to be recognized as the defendants Council for the duration of the trial." The council looked at each otherthe council was made of five members all diffrent species. Andorian, Human, Klingon, Vulcan and Caitian. they talked for a few moments as Alex glanced at the Captain and Duina. "The council has recognized Alex Callister and Miss Duina as Captain Jade's defense council. if either of you two have an opening statement regarding that captain speak it now." |

Duina blinked before standing and walking beside Jade. She just kept her hands infront of her as she kept a straight posture. She looked at Michael once before looking at Alex. She didn't know what she was going to say as she had been so distracted that she didn't really prepare anything. She just decided to lean over to Alex and whisper in his ear. "You might want to say what needs to be said...I might not be as polite..." She then just straightened herself back up before offering the counsil a small, almost invisable smile. she was now starting to doubt Michael's descion in asking her to defend him. |

Alex leaned over towards her. "polite doesn't get very far here. you'll have to be upfront and blunt." He composed himself and made his posture and voice firm. "Captain Jade stands before this trial of mockery, an innocent man with a star fleet record that rivals that of one Captain James T Kirk who has made several violations that have gone unchecked. captain Jade is guilty of no more then doing what only the finest captains must do in any situation, make a judgment call as he has done so on several occasions before. You accuse of him of murder and conspiracy to murder when there is no proof of either, simply the word of men who want nothing more then power. To this I point the finger of accusation at two men. Former Admiral Rodney and Arresting officer Tarik on the grounds of self gain and greed." He stopped for a short moment to let his accusation sink in. The council members talked amongst themselves for a few moments before speaking. "Mr Callister you raise strong accusations against a good former Admiral and a Commander with a spotless record. I hope you have some kind of evidence to support these accusations?" Alex looked at Duina, he knew they didn't have any but he was going to list off his reasons as he had to Duina. He hoped she would jump in with something even if it was just to defend the captain on a personal level. "No Council. not as of yet, but I have reason to believe they may be responsible for this. They both stand to gain a lot from Captain Jade's removal from his ship, crew and from star fleet. Council, Admiral Rodney should the Captain be found guilty could appeal his forced retirement on the grounds of Falsified evidence thereby discrediting the evidence against him It is also a well known fact that Commander Tarik has wanted command of the USS Aeon since he was eligible for command and despises Captain Jade for receiving the command of it. Both Men stand to gain a great deal by his removal." |

Duina looked at Alex before hair was tucked behind her ear. Once Alex was finished speaking, she would clear her throat some. "I do hope that many of you know where I come from. A betazoid is simply what I am. And most should know what we can do. I do not know how this works but I will say with certainty that my client, Captain Jade, is innocent of the crime that he is being accused of." She just let her blue eyes looked over everyone before she continued to talk. "I can also tell you for certain that the accusations that my partner brings up will hold. If I tried to explain it, it might be a little complicated, but a betazoid never lies unless they are forced to, and I am not lying." She looked at Michael before talking once again. She wasn't to sure how they were going to react to her next statement mostly because she spoke before she had a chance to think of things. "Michael is a very nice person. There is no vengence or hate in his heart the would lead to him killing or even attempting to kill anyone. The charge against him his a foul one, but it is also a fake one." |
