| ******* FORUM LAW (Board Rules For All Members And Staff) Flaming - Flaming is basically yelling REALLY REALLY loud at someone else. Flaming is characterized by all caps, an excessive number of exclamation points, lots of insults, and stuff like that. If you are caught flaming, you will be warned. If a topic is centered on flaming, it will be closed. This rule applies to the entire TXC Boards. Spamming - Spamming is a post that is irrelevant to a topic. This includes one word posts, severely off-topic posts, posting in order to raise your post count, annoying posts, etc. But if you are new here, for the first little while or so we will cut you a little slack, but don't think we won't notice. Spamming is annoying as hell, so don't do it. If you are caught spamming, you will be warned and your post will be deleted. If a topic is spam, it will be deleted. This rule applies to the entire TXC Boards. NOTE : This doesn't apply to the new Spam forum. Bumping (AKA Necro-Posting)- Bumping is posting in an inactive topic and bringing it back to life with something that doesn't contribute to the topic at all. If a topic has not been posted in for a long time, don't post in it. It's that simple. I don't care how much you want to greet some friggin person, just don't do it. There's really no point of bumping, anyways. The only exception to this is if you plan on updating your fan-work topic or another is updating it for you for a well-given reason. However, if you bump without reason, you will be warned and the topic will be closed. This rule applies to the entire TXC Boards. Double-Posting - Double-posting is posting twice in a row consecutively. This is intolerable and only gives the idea that you plan on raising post count or are spamming. Do not double post in any topics unless you are posting in your own Fanfic, Fanart, or Fancharacter topic and adding new story material. If you do it by mistake please note it in your second post that you didn't mean it and one of our Staff members will delete it. This rule applies to the entire TXC Boards. NOTE: There IS an "EDIT" button. Advertising - Advertising is what it sounds like. It's posting a topic about some website or some product asking people to buy it or whatever. We get a lot of spam bots advertising, so we don't need members to do it. Spam bots will be banned and the topics will be deleted. If a member makes a topic regarding advertising, it will be closed and the link will be removed, or it will be deleted. Advertising gets you a warning, so don't do it. This rule applies to the entire TXC Boards. Multiplication – Do NOT, under any circumstances, create multiple accounts. Creating more accounts to avoid banning, validation or warnings is a severe violation of the rules and will get you banned. This rule applies to the entire TXC Boards. Important Art Note – Any topic containing pornographic or otherwise questionable material must have a warning either in the topic title, or the description. The questionable image must be a link only, not embedded using the [img] tags. Any user viewing said topic must be over 18 years of age. This rule applies to the entire TXC Boards. Reporting – If a topic appears to be breaking one of the above rules, please do not post in it. Instead, use the report button. This will alert a moderator of the topic that the topic needs to be moved, closed, etc. Posting things like "This topic needs to be locked" does no good, and is considered spam. Also, do not abuse the report system. And do not use the report system to talk to the moderators. Anyone who is found to be abusing the report system will be given a severe punishment. This rule applies to the entire TXC Boards. (Board Rules Specific to Moderators and Administrators) Neither Administrators nor Moderators shall abuse their authority on this forum unless they wish to be removed from their ranking. If one is found abusing this power, they will be warned, put on temporarily prohibition, or denounced from their position under due process of Forum Law. All authorities must treat each other with respect as well as respect all other users of this forum. If one is found disrespecting another, they will be warned, put on prohibition, or denounced from their position under due process of Forum Law. All Administrators and Moderators have the right to warn, temporarily prohibit, and/or ban members of this forum as long as it is within reason and according to due process of Forum Law. All Administrators and Moderators have the right to lock, unlock, bump, pin, move, etc. a topic as long as it is within reason and according to due process of Forum Law. All Moderators and Administrators have the same exact rights; however, the Administrator has the final word in all forum issues as long as it remains within reason and according to Forum Law. All Administrators and Moderators must obey these rules as well as the rules of the entire forum and perform their duties accordingly. There are no exceptions to any of these rules unless otherwise noted. (Board Rules Specific to Normal Members.) The member is allowed all forum rights granted that they follow the rules of the board. Granted, if they find something on the forum that is unacceptable to them, they are given the right to report the issue to the Forum Moderators and they will evaluate the issue according the Forum Law. However, if a member feels as if their rights have been violated by the Forum Moderators, they may contact an Administrator who will evaluate the issue at hand under due process of Forum Law. If a member does not agree with the decision made by a Forum Moderator, they may again contact an Administrator and ask for an appeal to the decision. The members of this forum have the right to complain about a Moderator and Administrator under general debates and may ask for the removal of a Moderator. If this is done, the members must provide valid reasons for the removal of a Moderator whom the Administrator will evaluate and confirm if the Moderator will be removed. ***All rules are in effect in all boards unless otherwise noted.*** ******* |
