In order to get to know each other better I think it is important that we know about each others fridges. I invite every member to give us a brief summary of their own such item.

A year or two ago I found some jar in the fridge. I don't remember what was in it but the expiry date was before I was born. Didnt risk opening it up, just threw it in the trash.

Mine has many fridge magnets on it. As I can see it from here I shall try to list them now:-

A Blackpool tram
George Harrison with an arm missing
Verious kitchen utensiles
A round bulbus one that sats France on it
Doctor Who ones with a Yeti, Patrick Troughton, Paul McGann, Sylvester McCoy, Colin Baker and Peter Davison
A large cup cake with a cherry nipple that tells you not to eat stuff when pressed
A rhino
Another rhino
A Wallace and Gromit bookmark
Something about recycling

I'd like to post a picture of my food and drink cooling appliance. Would it be ok to put a few snaps in this thread?

My former fridge that I just replaced had well over 200 magnets, etc on it. In fact, almost anything that got put on it (minus the spaghetti sauce) stayed there. In fact, the original note and magnet from 1986 remained there until I took it all down. It was hard to clean around all that stuff! One of the best things on the fridge were clipped newspaper articles my father sent me such as: "Men who want there foreskin back", "Marshmallow enemas and exploding toilets", an obituary of "Harry R. Dick", and an interview of my son who explained why his family was just like the characters in "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest". Was quite the kitchen conversation piece.

I've gone minimalist (for now) and there is only one black and white Beatles magnet on it.

Even more telling is what's inside, don't you think?

Smallest upper shelf right now: Parm cheese, cream cheese, chai, strawberries, half 'n half and an eye gel mask.

A lot of black fridges...more than I thought. I used to have almond colored - they don't make them anymore and stainless wouldn't look good in my house that has so much wood - so black it was!

Throw out that old food Judy!

I almost never go out - the restaurant is my house. Do wish there were good places to go nearby.

Moving on to the small upper crisper-like container: Havarti cheese, string cheese, whole wheat tortillas, JELLO Mousse temptations (not bad), and tempeh.

I do believe there's usually more in there. What's missing?

Ours is brand new - a gift from Mum and Dad. A bit big for our kitchen, but better to have too much than not enough. Still working on filling it - has American cola, Australian lemon squash, home grown lemons and zuccini, happy-chook eggs, and some leftover beans & rice.

Magnet-wise, all we have is a conversion table and two bottle-cap ones of traditional New Orleans businesses.

My favourite bit is the ice box.
Put a puppet on it.

My fridge is old, dented and empty most of the time. It also sports art work of the seven and a half year old who decided to dispense with the middle man and draw straight onto the refrigerator door.
I don't believe in Bondi. I don't believe in rugby league. I believe in Yoko, John Lennon, the Lost Weekend and me.

My fridge has lots of magnets that Beatlebarb made on it. Clear stones, with Beatles images glued on the back... plus a whole load of other souvenirs.

Other than that, it's tall, brown, has a water dispenser on the outside, is cold inside and is rather useful to store food and drink in.
...and in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make.

We have a similar fridge-freezer to Nat's actually. Minus all of Lennon's drawings and add a few from our rugrats.

That can`t be good for the fridge. What if they decide to hold your food hostage?
