Roll Tide! The SEC rules! Thanks to Alabama for keeping the SEC on top this year. Georgia certainly didn't.
Everybody's got something to hide 'cept for me and my monkey.

I wonder what the score might have been if Colt McCoy had played? It was 24-21 at one point ver near the end of the game.

 I'd love to see what Bama would have done to McCoy!
But, you can't "what if" here because:
What if injured Alabama linebacker, Dont'a Hightower, had of played?
What if Mark Ingram hadn't missed much of the game and had more than just the 9 carries?
What if Texas didn't punt the ball away from Javier Arenas? It kept him from breaking the NCAA record!

All I have to say about their backup QB not having experience (only 26 snaps all season) is SHAME on Texas coaches! With the 10 blow outs they had this season, he should have gotten into those games more than only 26 times total instead of Texas coaches padding McCoy's stats for the Heisman. The back up played a good game. Who's to say McCoy would have? I don't think he would have made a difference. It was the backup that brought them within 3 points of the Tide.

I think any time you remove a star player, particularly the quarterback, from the game it completely changes the tenor of the game, but you are definitely right about one thing: the Texas coaches should have realized how important Colt McCoy was to the team, prepared for the eventuality that he might be injured in a game and given Gilbert more snaps in their many blow-out games. I am surprised at how well Gilbert played and if he hadn't been blind-sided and fumbled during that crucial fourth quarter play then Texas might very well have won it or, at least, taken the game into Overtime, which is what I really wanted. I didn't care who won.

:P I don't think my heart would have handled an overtime. I do wish McCoy would have played. I don't want Texas to have any excuses.
