UK: Recently, it's Peep Show, but of all time... probably Fawlty Towers. US: Probably Friends. It's brilliantly written, despite the twee touches. Which musician would you have "saved" from dying if you had the power? |

I really used to hate James Blunt. Oh, and I still do. Wait a minute... OK, I used to really dislike David Gray during the "Babylon" era, but a colleague of mine brought the album into work and played it a few times. It got under my skin and now I'm quite a fan, despite his wobbly head. ![]() Which is the next gig you're going to? |

The phrase "Be-Bop-A-Lula" is almost identical to "Be-Baba-Leba", the title of a # 3 R&B chart hit for Helen Humes in 1945, which became a bigger hit when recorded by Lionel Hampton as "Hey! Ba-Ba-Re-Bop". This phrase, or something very similar, was widely used in jazz circles in the 1940s, giving its name to the bebop style, and possibly being ultimately derived from the shout of "Arriba! Arriba!" used by Latin American bandleaders to encourage band members i knew that Is there anyone in the public eye who you are totaly bemused by their popularity ? |
