I never had a marriage party before but this is what I would do if I had the opportunity to marry (it won't happen again). I'd do almost everything Bach because everything Bach did was so delicated.

* pre wedding music

I'd suggest Air on the G string by Bach. It's delicated and it allows people to have a conversation while they wait for the marriage.

* walking down the aisle

Arioso by Bach

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l5mZUCPfUkw

* signing the register

you can use Arioso ahah or Pachelbel, the next one

* leaving the room
Canon in D major by Pachelbel

It can't be a sad song because...A dream came true, a sweet, pure and delicated dream. I'd choose this song

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xLnBicXpkZM

* first dance

A song both of you like, the song of you two.

My marriage would be a sad thing I know because I like to see old ladies crying.

I would do this one :giggle:

I can think of more options

Queen's, "Another One Bites the Dust" would be appropriate for any of the above categories :hyper:

Just kidding, Jayne. I know, how about "Suddenly"?

I'll come up with things as I think of them. Of course, being me, I suggest this for signing the register....

Oh my love for the first time in my life,
My eyes are wide open,
Oh my lover for the first time in my life,
My eyes can see,

I see the wind,
Oh I see the trees,
Everything is clear in my heart,
I see the clouds,
Oh I see the sky,
Everything is clear in our world,

Oh my love for the first time in my life,
My mind is wide open,
oh my lover for the first time in my life,
My mind can feel,

I feel the sorrow,
Oh I feel dreams,
Everything is clear in my heart,
Everything is clear in our world,
I feel the life,
Oh I feel love.

We must not leave out "I Will" and "Here, There and Everywhere."

Good for pre-wedding....

How about "I Will"? I just love those lyrics.

Another popular one here in the states is "Always and Forever".

By the way, when one of my nieces got married, she had Bach compositions played. The guests were handed programs on their way into the church, and we heard more than a few little snickers when people read the title "Air on the G string" :o :rofl:

In Paul's Arms!
This is the song that I consider to be the best. Brings tears to my eyes everytime I hear it:

The Wedding Song, There is Love

This one ranks right up there:

Grow Old With Me

I'm using Nights In White Satin by the Moody Blues for my first dance with Sebastian. Whether he likes it or not. :giggle:

My brother and sister-in-law walked down the aisle to the Polyphonic Spree.
